Our disposal was leaking and with my husband's health, he could not replace it so we called Neerings. The first guy, Jesus, way over charged us, was here 4 hours for an hour job, and then when he left, told me to have my husband buy a part so we could use the sink (after spending over $1200!). The work was poor and parts were missing and the sink still could not be used. We left a review and the owner of Neerings called back and said he would send techs to fix the disposal and also fix another valve that was found that needed replacement. The second job was going to be free. Nope! When the tech got here, the price went up to $1000. My hubby complained and the price went down to $400 and the two jobs were complete but this bait and switch, and only good work if the consumer complains??? Never, ever will use this company.

Neering's Plumbing came to my house to look at my furnace. Their truck slid down my driveway into my car which was parked at the bottom of my driveway. They put in a claim with their insurance company who got me a rental car, but after several days their insurance company said my car was too old to fix and it was totaled. They are giving me some money for this, but now I have to spend time and considerably more money to replace my vehicle. When I tried to get Neerings to help me out by giving me more time to look for a car, the owner refused to extend the rental car and told me to ""man up and just go buy a new car"". I am frankly astounded by this type of customer service. On top of this the technician told me I had a carpal monoxide leak and needed an immediate replacement of my furnace for $6000. I had the gas company come over and check on this and they told me the furnace was perfectly fine and running well. There was no carbon monoxide leak. I would never use this company again.

I understand companies that charge by the job and not by the hour and that is supposed to protect you so that someone's not milking the clock but most the time if not all of the time the praise built into the job accounts for twice the time needed to do the work. I would not send over for my worse enemy to this company over the many many years in the industry nearing his has been the leaders in pushing the envelope with how much you can charge even having different pricing books depending on what kind of customer you have. The truth of the matter everything comes down to an airily wage and what it takes to run a company and most plumbing companies are anywhere between 200 to 350 an hour that's to stay in business if you're with a company closer to 100 and hour I would be very cautious of the work or they're simply an owner operator and they don't have a lot of overhead but charging $600 even more per hour Built-in tier pricing book is downright crooked. I have seen it with my own eyes be careful a calling nearing Plumbing. There is no doubt the work that's done has some quality to it but you can get the same good quality at half the price with dozens of other companies nearing closing rate as a company is probably the lowest in the Western United States. After asking why he charges so much I was told I rather have a lot of a little then a little of a lot. Easier to manage don't have to have as many employees and there are still people out there that don't understand some parts only cost $10. For example I noticed repair toilet replacing all repairable items around $1100.00 The next page says brand new toilet $1200. And you have to understand this toilet is an average toilet it is not high end toilet. $120 toilet. Installed in one hour But understand you have to drive to 7 11 get donut and coffee. 30 minutes talking and selling it. At $1200 it takes a lot of talking and that time that you're paying for to talk you into it. Do the work then collect money about 1.5 hrs at house. Do the math. That's actually a lot over $600 an hour for labor. But then there is another book if the customer is smart and says that price is ridiculous there's a pricing guide based on under $400 an hour that you can use. The gullible ignorant praising guide and a intelligent money watching homeowner praising guide and there's even a 3rd way to price it ""matrics system"". You build your own price based on Parts and time period and this is 600 plus per hour plus the material not just for the 1st hour but for every hour and of course a 6 hour job rounds up to 8 hours so that's an extra 1200 just because it gives the plumber a bonus at selling an 8 hour job. Yes plumbers are Paid extra if they're able to sell an 8 hour job. If it's out of the book there is an extra bonus so a lot of jobs that are not 8 hours become 8 hours just so they can get their bonus. That's is downright evil and devilish. Yes a whole lot of happy customers and good reviews but they have no idea how much they were ridiculously overcharged. There is one lady mother passed away she inherited a $100000 or something like that she had a clogged toilet. I will never forget $70000 later she has a remodeled bathroom and a new sewer line. And not all of it was necessary she was the most gullible and the most taking advantage customer I've seen in my career the plumber and the owner man they were happy walking with their chests out. I went to inspect the job and noticed a almost 20 year old water heater and told the plumber you think you would have thrown in a water heater at that price he got upset with me and not understanding why realize he thought I was telling him he left money on the table that there was more he could have charged. I was telling him how run this job is he didn't get it because plumbers have a lot of pride and they all think they're the best and even through my sarcasm he was still in competition mode. By the way the job took 3 days $70000. Makes me sick. Go ahead call nearing Plumbing throw your money down the toilet. I myself personally am LDS I think the owner of nearings also is and infact has temple recommend. Good thing people learn to judge the church by the church not by the people

Have used this company twice, both times they find a way to upsell. The last time they came to chech on AC problem, the tech said needed a new system and charged $276. They wanted $7000 for a new system. I discovered the motor was bad, replaced it myself for around $100. My advice is to run like hell. Call a more reputable company.

I wanted my bathtub replaced (and the old one torn out), with some tile work done around it and Neerings quoted me $12,000!!! I called another company and they came out and quoted me $4500 for the exact same work. Neerings is ripping people off (they're how plumbers get a bad rap) and trying to take advantage of people. Never use them! They're absurd and in my opinion, giving someone a quote of $12000 for a simple bathtub replacement and some tile work is dishonest. WARNING: don't even waste your time calling these guys! They're ridiculous and will try to rip you off hardcore!!

Do yourself a favor and get a second bid! My first experience with Neerings occurred when my 80 something father's furnace quit working. His inducer motor had failed and Neerings charged him $850 to replace it. After I found out what had happened I priced the part at a local supply house and the whole assembly was $150. As I recall there are 5 screws and an electrical quick connect. Most 12 year olds could have replaced it in half an hour. When I confronted the owner, Troy, he said that he had to charge that much to pay for his advertising!

Next I spotted one of their trucks at a new neighbor's house. I called the neighbor and urged them to get a second bid. They were eternally grateful because they saved thousands by taking my advice.

More recently I purchased a home that had a two furnaces that had been installed by Neerings. The basement furnace was blowing red sand out of the ducts. In tracking down the problem I discovered an installation mistake that caused a vacuum which then sucked sand into the ductwork from a failing plenum box. Neerings responded promptly and their technician remembered the installation and recalled telling the previous owner that he had needed to vacuum out ""2 inches of sand"" from the plenum box. Later when I requested that the technician verify what he had told me he refused because he ""didn't want to get involved."" I therefore had no recourse against the former owner for failing to mention the issue with the HVAC system.

Bottom line: I have zero respect for Neerings. In my opinion the company lacks integrity and it is widely known for charging AT LEASTE double for the same work.

Be cautious and get a second bid!

They wanted to charge me 10k for an HVAC system after I paid $700 to them to clean the old one.
I got a brand new one for $3500 from an honest company.

I'm sad that these reviews are so low, when I received outstanding customer service. I was referred by 5 different people to use Neerings for an estimate on my air conditioning unit. Curtis was my technician who educated and explained the whole process. He also gave me tips of how to keep it more efficient and how to wash the condenser, which vents to open in my house and was patient the entire time. After the diagnostics, Curtis provided several quotes from smaller fixes to replacing the entire unit. I appreciate the time he took to understand my situation and provide all available options. I also received a follow up phone call from Devin to ask about my experience. It's very rare this happens, and the personal touch made the difference! I will definitely use Neerings again for other maintenance that needs to be done in the future.

Do not use. Buyer beware, they way overcharge and are overpriced. They contacted us two years later saying they made an error and we owed $200 plus dollars. Really??? TWO YEARS??? Write it off, it is not the customers fault they did not call at the time, they had the credit card number on file and all paperwork said to charge that card. Seriously irritating.
