Very poor service.

I tried to order some utility faceplates, and though they found the ones I was looking for, I never received a return call or email to allow me to actually order them, despite me calling them 3 times and email-ing them twice. Was more than happy to order these from a competitor, at a significantly lower price.

I called here the other day to make an appointment. The woman I spoke to was so rude. I told her I knew exactly what I wanted, was a repeat customer and wanted to come in and place an order She told me to send her everything in an email and she'd send a quote. I told her I didn't want to compose a long and complicated email, I wanted to come into the store. ""That's how we do it."" Well, that's not how I do it. Went to Newton Decorative instead and had excellent service.

If I could leave 1/2 a star I would. I went 3 times to try and find hardware for my kitchen cabinets. There is a big sign on the door that they are only for the trade but they do see other people too. Each time the person I had an appointment with showed me where all the hardware could be found, answered a question or 2 and ran back to her desk letting me "" look around"". Incredibly unhelpful. I don't think they actually want clients. Go to Newton Decorative instead. So much better!!!

This place has the best assortment of hardware - cabinet pulls, door handles, etc. There is a sign on the way in saying that it's mostly for the trade which may explain some of the other negative reviews but I found them friendly, knowledgeable and happy to help. I would most definitely recommend stopping by though perhaps calling ahead to find a time when they are not busy. You will want someone to help you.

Just left after briefly dealing with an associate named Chrissy. She was rude and had no interest in helping us find what we were looking for. Specifically we were looking for hinges and she dismissed our inquiry because she would have to do some
research. Generally a big believer in actually coming to stores and not just ordering online. For the knobs and hinges we'll be looking elsewhere.

Just awful customer service. I'm used to Period Hardware in Beacon Hill which is a tiny store but they are courteous and get things done right. The attitude of the ""girl"" we dealt with was totally inappropriate. It took forever for her to get us a quote (outside of the date she originally promised) and was pretty rude about it when I had to follow up. Like she was doing us a favor! Hello? I'm the customer trying to buy something from you. Our order was clearly not taken seriously since it was riddled with errors when it came in. Door nobs in the completely wrong style etc. I just tried to give them another chance for some reason (I guess out of my own laziness to find another store) but they wanted double the price for a floor bumper I will easily buy online for 1/2 the price. I'll ask my neighbors for a better local door hardware store for items going forward or head back to the reliable family run store in Beacon Hill. Clearly these guys in Needham don't need the business.

I love this store. They have large display of different styles of hardwares and lighting. Jon the owner is so helpful and have a lot of patience. I am a designer so I come to him for various projects. Each time I was always given undivided attention. The store is busy so its first come first serve, you will want to make an appointment. If you just walk in, then you may have to wait for the next available sales staff to help you. This is just common sense when you shop retail stores.

I am an interior designer and have sent many clients in here and been into the store myself several times. Not once has anyone ever been helpful. In fact, they rarely even say hello when you walk in. I now warn clients that they are rude. The only reason we still even send clients here is because they are close by. But we order the stuff somewhere else. If they don't want to deal to the public, they should close their doors and be appointment only.
