I really wasn't happy with the service provided. We have been having little to no hot water in our showers and Nebrasky sent someone out to look at our boiler. They were out for under an hour but charged me an additional fee for making adjustments to the mixing valve (I would have assumed if it was under an hour and didn't involve a new part it would fall under the standard visit fee). The technician told me to wait a few days and if the water didn't run hotter we would need to at least replace the mixing valve and temp/pressure gauge. The quote to do that was $1,679. This seemed really high so we double checked the price with an extended family member in the business and he let us know that kind of a repair (with labor) should run closer to $600. Our water temperature has not gotten better so we called Boiler King and they immediately suggested that the coils might need to be flushed (which Nebrasky did not do). It was my impression that Nebrasky was more about upcharging than actual customer service.
Katie W.Nebrasky was recommended to me, as I have just moved into the area. I am a new homeowner and never had to hire a plumber before. Nebrasky was a great experience from start to finish. Both the receptionist and technician were nice, helpful and pleasant to work with. They were upfront and I truly felt like they had my best interest in mind. The tech could've gotten another $600 from me but said the work wasn't necessary based on what he saw. Nebrasky is not likely the cheapest company to use but I was impressed by the quality of work, the estimates, the final price being the estimate, and the 12 month guarantee.
Called for a diagnosis of not having enough hot water. They said it was the circulating pump going bad. They write me up an estimate of $1087 to replace it. I knew that was way OVERPRICED so I did the repair myself. It cost $84 for the pump and 40 minutes of my time. So they were planning on charging me $1000 an hour? Wow that's insane, I would never use it recommend them.
Used this company before for a repair to my furnace and to install a whole house propane generator. I thought they were fair and did a good job. Then, i called them to install a new faucet and connect a new kitchen sink to the drain. I had all of the fixtures. All they had to do was connect them. Right off the bat the service person tried to tell me that my dishwasher was not secured properly and wanted to add that task to the job. The dishwasher has been working just fine for over a year so I asked him just to focus on the faucet and connecting the sink to the drain pipe. He went out to his truck for about 1/2 hour. When he returned he gave me a quote of $711. He further informed me that he spoke to Paul (Nebrasky) and they shaved off as much as they could. I told him thanks but no thanks. I then called a handyman from a ad on Craig's list and he did the job for $150. Took him 20 minutes. I now assume I was ripped off for the generator and furnace too. I will never call Nebrasky again. I work too hard for my money to be ripped off.
I had problems with Nebrasky from the very beginning! Nebrasky is responsible for all the plumbing problems, at least, that this new community has. They did all the new construction installations and used inferior parts and brands. I moved in my new Wallkill community in 2013 and had a bad leaky water heater due to an inferior part. Luckily the water heater was still under warranty but it was an inconvenience. Then, only a little over a year after moving in, my outside faucet(spigot) started to leak. Many people had the same and other problems with plumbing, one lady had her basement flooded due to a faulty faucet and burst pipe! Certain things just shouldn't happen after just a short time. ""Come on Nebrasky!"" Stop playing games with hard working people and cutting corners with jobs and installing crap!"" I would not recommend them to anyone.
OVER PRICED!
I had low water pressure in my shower and called Nebrasky. A tech came out and determined that the plumbing needed to be accessed and the faucet/valve replaced. He didn't charge me for the diagnosis (which I appreciated) and e-mailed me an estimate. The estimate was $1,475 which I though was very high considering it wasn't a very big job. I asked Nebrasky to itemize the estimate so that I could understand the charge but they just said it was a flat rate for the job and offered no explanation as to how they came up with the price.
I then found another plumber who did the job for $670. They did a great job and my water pressure is excellent now.
Nebrasky should be ashamed of themselves for bilking their customers like this!
I called Nebrasky to look at a leak from my shower. They told me it was a leaking shower pan. They said that all of the tile and sheet rock would have to be ripped. They charge me $343.00 and left. I had another plumber come, snake the drain and pull a clog out. Once the clog was removed, the water flowed fine and didn't over flow the shower pan. Leak was fixed. I do not understand why Nebrasky didn't just pull the clog out in the first place. I will never use them again.
Amy G.Plumber was named John. Such a nice man. Knew his stuff. He thinks the internal knob was ONLY the problem. The service people from last night called back immediately. Talked me through how to turn off all the water valves and promised at 7AM I would get a call to get someone over in the morning. They called at 7AM as promised and guy was here by 8:30AM!! Awesome customer service
Jamie C.I enjoyed my technician's visit today. He was very thorough and responsive, taking time to answer my questions and to explain maintenance on my system.
I was very disappointed with the overall service from beginning to the end. When I called the office for an appointment they were very rude and short with me. That was a red flag and was my fault for continuing to make an appointment ...... Not only was I over charged the problem was never fixed!!!!! My advise to everyone DO NOT use them find someone else or fix it yourself!!!!!!
