Ric D.These folks were swell. Honored the warranty. Chris the technician spent several hours doing a complete repair of our air conditioning system. What a swell place. Honest and on time. Doesn't get any better than this! Ric Delaney kc
My name is Evelyn O and my air conditioner broke down on 07/11/18 and called Neal Harris service because they had come out to do a tune-up on the same two weeks prior.
The lady who took my call gave me a next day service between the hours of noon to 5:00 pm, stating that, that is the earliest they get a service technician out to my house. I accepted.
At 3:40 pm on 7/12/18, I got a missed call from John that he was the technician dispatched to come to my house to look at what was wrong with my A/C but cannot locate my house.I immediately called back and spoke to Alicia who told me they misspelt my address and that she was going to get back to the technician and give me a call back.
At 4:19 pm I got a call back from Alicia that the tech will not be able to come out to my house anymore that he was not done in the place where he was and that I should reschedule for the next day.
Just a matter of about 40 minutes, they gave me two conflicting stories:20 minutes ago, ""he could not locate my address and 19 minutes later, wants me to reschedule for the next day"". That will make 3 days of no A/C in my house and in a service window of noon to 5 pm, they waited until almost the end of the last hour to tell me they were not coming, in a near triple digit temperature and heat index.
I was not going to settle for that,I had to look for another and guess what? Anthony heating and cooling came through for me at about 5:30 pm same day with no after hours charge.
My 22 year old furnace bit the dust last week. I called Neal Harris for an estimate to replace it. As usual Neal Harris promptly sent a technician. He recommended replacing it. He examined the furnace, air conditioning and humidifier. He was very knowledgable and was able to explain things so that I could understand what needed to be done. He then had a salesman come out to the house while he was there. The salesman was very professional and knowledgable as well. I have used Neal Harris for many years. I have consistently had excellent and prompt service. They have always been there when I needed them.
This business seems to be more concerned with selling new units for the big bucks when a simple repair is perfectly reasonable. We were told our capacitors were going bad and system is old, should be converted to newer equipment. However, a second opinion found Freon was low. Someone else topped off the Freon and magically we don't have to spend tens of thousands to replace our entire HVAC system. I did complain about the service call charge to which I was offered a COUPON for future use. After much effort, I was finally able to get my $99 back. Thus the two stars instead of one.
David H.Bunch of crooks. I just paid them over $500 to repair my AC. After my AC was repaired I asked if the liud noise was normal and was told yes. Now my family gets home from a week away and the fan (which 2 replaced and motor) Doesn't spin and it makes a loud hissing sound. Can't get anyone to call me back.
Terrible experience. Air went out yesterday-hottest day yet this summer. Called for service and was told technician would be here today from 2-4. Stayed home waiting-close to 4 called again and was told we were their next appointment. At 7 o'clock called again and after 15 minutes on hold was told that call center overbooked them and it would be 2 more days before they can get here. They can offer no explanation as to why I was told they were coming today twice! The missed time from work, etc. is infuriating. Never again
Michael B.The product Neal Harrison offered seemed to be the lowest quality on the market. I paid full retail pricing and the unit last 50% as long as previous units. I am a landlord and own multiple house in wealthy neighborhoods. I highly recommend against using Neal Harris dor any services.

I generally try to give most companies the benefit of the doubt working in the retail industry myself. At this point I feel I have gone above and beyond my patience. If I could give a 0 star I would. August of 2017 my wife and I bought our second home and we did what any responsible home owner would do and scheduled a service call for our HVAC system. Now we are not experts and we saw that our system had been serviced by Neal Harris, so we gave them a call. At that time they were running a combo deal to have our furnace and A/C serviced at the same time. So we said yes. To our dismay come the morning of we received a phone call stating that we would have to push our appointment back a month due to the tech being sick. This should of been an early warning indicator for every appointment scheduled afterwards was delayed. I didn't get my furnace serviced till January and of course it was too cold to have the A/C serviced, The A/C was finally scheduled for the 1st day of spring and of course delayed till May. May came and went and I expressed my concerned every step of the way that I am trying to be a responsible home owner and have this a/c unit serviced and have preventive maintenance done to avoid a costly repair. I have heard excuses to understaff, to weather (which I understand), to other customers come first (such as elderly or pregnant women.) At some point when do I a customer who has already paid get my service appointment get my service? According to Neal Harris July. Well as of last night my A/C unit bit the dust. Now as you can imagine I am extremely upset and feel that if Neal Harris had done the maintenance some of this might have been caught. I have asked for a manager from Neal Harris to contact me from this morning to contact me and all I get is excuses and how busy they are. I see a pattern here, for in the past 10 month every delay I have asked to speak to a member of manager and I can not get anyone but the customer service agent when they I have to call and follow up. I believe on most of my appointments (except the 1st one in august of 2017) I had to call to make sure my appointment was going to happen which I found out in all of those cases they were pushed back. If I were you find another service provider. I am sure I will receive a reply from the someone below asking me to contact them. Guess what I have since August of 2017. You have my notes why don't you follow up with me for once!
Veryyyy disappointed! I purchased a furnace and air conditioner unit less than two years ago and the service has been totally unacceptable. I paid BIG money for this unit and had I known then what I know now there's no way I would have spent a dime. I can't begin to write all the problems I have had with this company but if your looking to purchase a quality unit with expert customer service, run because you too will be writing a review just like the ones on this website. Totally unacceptable!!!
I rolled the dice with this outfit during the early heat wave, much to my regret. The tech performed a cursory inspection of my system without removing the outside unit service panels. He pronounced the system in need of a $1400 cleaning after consulting with his ""go to guy"" laughing during the conversation. I sent him away with the $99 ""service fee"" for zero service. The following day I removed all panels and cleaned the unit. It is running like a champ. Needless too say whenever I replace this old unit in the not too distant future, NHSE will not be called to bid. Pay attention to all the negative reviews and you'll be glad you did. Absolutely my worst ""service"" experience in over forty years property ownership in Kansas City.
