Not much dealing other than having a rep give us a quote from our contact at Costco. Of the four we got I would rank them as 3rd. Had better information from Home Depot, and One Hour Heating and Cooling. Sam's Club didn't warrant a meeting since the rep kept calling me Mr. Brad, my first name. The other two reps were far more knowledgeable and comprehensive.
As I said only dealing was them giving me an estimate to replace our AC and furnace plus they were slightly more expensive.

Neal Harris gave me a window to come service my air conditioner noon -2 pm. They did not show up till 3:45. I guess they do not understand what a premium customer means. Never will use them again.

I wish there is ZERO star

I just had a really terrible experience with them.

I asked them to recharge our ac system.
One sales person and a tech guy showed up on the appointment day yesterday. What they did was she Mitzse (sales person) kept promoting products and the tech guy, Eduardo checked and did something on thermostat, air handling unit and outdoor air conditioning unit. They didn't bring R-22 gas, so I couldn't get what I asked for. Mitzi specifically asked 1 if I knew what r22 was and why it needed to be refilled. Then she asked if I wanted a service call or what specifically we need, and wanted to know if it was a service call or a work request. I stated I needed to have my r22 refilled. She asked if it was a service call (news flash I don't work at Neal Harris). Curious se to why I told the chatbot I wanted a r22 refill, and they sent a socioeconomic phobic sales person. But they still charged me $99 for the appointment. They said someone would come back the next day and charge the unit.
After they left, my wife found out that system didn't respond at all. I turned on for 30 seconds and turned off. It worked before the tech guy messed with it. We don't have cool air but other than that no issue. Thus the recharge. That's why I only asked to recharge. Further more, when the sales person came to our home she slapped on her shoe covers presented herself. But when she left to get her sales material shoe covers were off. At one point she looked at Ed and realized that she hadn't put them back on. News Flash I knew. $99.

Then the next day, today, I found out that heat system doesn't work either. It worked before they came here yesterday. So I told them about it and they sent one tech guy to check on it. He checked thermostat and air handling unit. It sounded like heater started but suddenly it stopped. He stated that he was able to hard wire it to test it.
What he said was need to replace something that control communication between thermostat and the heating unit.
What???!!!!!!!!!
I want to say one more time, we didn't have any problem with it before they mess with it!
I told the guy about it but what he said was in short he didn't do it and it could happen.
There is nothing about the new issue on the performance inspection paper Eduardo filled out.
They made new issues.
And they charged $99 for this visit as well.
Paid $200 for nothing and they made worse.

In this case the reviews didn't lie.

A $200 dollar lesson is better then a $10k - $20k lesson.

Please be careful with this company

We had a new HVAC installed about 18 months ago. Since then we installed a Nest in our home, which worked beautifully all winter long. Once it came time to switch it to AC it wasn't working properly, so we called Neal Harris to come out and take a look. It turns out we were missing a wire to the system altogether. In the process of the technician looking at the Nest situation he also found that our flue pipe was rusting out, and one of the joints from the furnace to the flue was a T joint and should have been a Y. My question to the technician was, shouldn't this have been done when the HVAC was replaced? He agreed that these issues should have been addressed when the HVAC was replaced. Not to say the pipe was rusting 18 months ago, but it is clearly old and only the piping closest to the units were replaced. Our technician, Chris (who was very good and thorough), called his install manager and got us set up for a visit the following day to have the flue replaced at no charge to us. I was very grateful, and he said they would be calling me with a window, but expect them in the afternoon sometime after two. So, for the second day in a row I left work early to come home and wait, and wait, and wait. This time at 4:30 I still hadn't heard from anyone, so I called the customer service line. I spoke with Amy who said it was due to rain at any minute, so she didn't think there was any way that they would make it out tonight. I'm sorry, rain? My HVAC is in my dry basement, the last I checked. What does rain and your commitment of an appointment today have to do with it? She said she would get me in any time, but I work. Every day, Monday - Friday. So, I asked if Saturday was an option. Well, on Saturdays they don't have technicians on who have the skillset of installing a new flue pipe. We settled on me taking yet another partial day off of work (we're talking about 3 half days at this point) for them to come out.

As if this couldn't get worse, Friday rolled around, and my 10 am window passed. I called at 10:30 to see when I could expect the technician. The lady who answered couldn't tell me, but said she'd get an exact time and call me back. About 30 minutes later a manager, James, called me to let me know that they don't actually install chimney flue pipes and he would recommend a 3rd party to do that. I informed him that the technician on Tuesday let me know he too thought our chimney flue should be replaced, but that isn't at all what we were on their books for. They were to be replacing the pipe that ran from the HVAC to the chimney. He said, OH, we didn't know that is what you needed. I was then very frustrated because why in the world would have have scheduled me twice for a service THEY DON'T EVEN DO! James said he would be happy to schedule me anytime the following week for the work on the pipe that needed replaced. At this point I lost my cool and went over the entire story for James and let him know that I would be expecting him to get a technician out as soon as possible. At this point he had to call me back again with a time when I could expect someone. He did call back and said that they have a technician finishing up a job, he would be stopping by to get the appropriate materials to do the job at our house, and I could expect him within the hour. I confirmed with James that there would not be a charge for this given it was their mistake initially and at this point all of the hoops they have sent us through.

50 minutes later Logan arrived. Logan walked in and said, ""well, I'm not sure what I'm here to do."" The lack of communication at this company is beyond anything I've ever experienced as a consumer of any good or service. I went over with Logan what our technician on Tuesday told me needed to be done. We went downstairs, I showed him the pipe and the incorrect joint that Chris pointed out earlier in the week. Logan just kept saying, ""awesome"" in a very lax way over and over again. He then informed me that he would be going to get parts (which James said he was grabbing on his way to my house), and that he would work up a quote. I then informed Logan that on Tuesday the install manager said there wouldn't be a charge, and that I confirmed that with James when he called to let me know Logan was coming. Logan's response was, ""Well, James is stupid."" I couldn't do anything but say, ""you better give James a call on your way to settle the charge issue."" And hour and a half later Logan returned and walked into the house without knocking, didn't put on his booties over his shoes, but he did at least get the pipe installed. He didn't mortar shut the hole when he was finished, but at this point I just wanted this company out of my house. He left a huge mess in the basement, mortar dust everywhere and huge chunks of mortar left on the floor.

I'm incredibly frustrated and definitely won't be using or recommending Neal Harris in the future.

Can't give no stars. We paid for the tune up visits, one for the air and one for the furnace. Winter came so they came to our home to look at the furnace. Of course the furnace was on the brink of catastrophic breakdown, the humidifier fliter also needed to be replaced and the flux capacitor needed repair. Cost me $88 for the filter above what we already paid in advance for the visit. I just found a 2 pack of filters on Amazon for $17 or $8.50 each. That's a 10 times markup. It took 4 trips to our home, my wife being off work for a day and me being off a day. They threw the $88 filter away 10 days after they installed the new furnace and they finally replaced it one month after they installed the furnace. I was thinking of using them again in the future but was also thinking of taking up sniffing glue.

What dedication!!!! We flipped our heat pump over to heat last Friday and no heat. Called Neal Harris to let them know and they explained they had several calls ahead of us and would get to us as soon as they could. We assumed it would be Saturday before they could make it out. Low and behold, 11:30 Friday night, we get a call from the technician and he's a 1/2 hour away. He comes and stays until 12:45 AM fixing our heat pump. And, because it's under warranty, there is NO CHARGE!!!!! It was so nice waking up to a warm house on Saturday morning. Would recommend them for sure. Check out their deals thru Costco as well!

My name is Evelyn O and my air conditioner broke down on 07/11/18 and called Neal Harris service because they had come out to do a tune-up on the same two weeks prior.
The lady who took my call gave me a next day service between the hours of noon to 5:00 pm, stating that, that is the earliest they get a service technician out to my house. I accepted.
At 3:40 pm on 7/12/18, I got a missed call from John that he was the technician dispatched to come to my house to look at what was wrong with my A/C but cannot locate my house.I immediately called back and spoke to Alicia who told me they misspelt my address and that she was going to get back to the technician and give me a call back.
At 4:19 pm I got a call back from Alicia that the tech will not be able to come out to my house anymore that he was not done in the place where he was and that I should reschedule for the next day.
Just a matter of about 40 minutes, they gave me two conflicting stories:20 minutes ago, ""he could not locate my address and 19 minutes later, wants me to reschedule for the next day"". That will make 3 days of no A/C in my house and in a service window of noon to 5 pm, they waited until almost the end of the last hour to tell me they were not coming, in a near triple digit temperature and heat index.
I was not going to settle for that,I had to look for another and guess what? Anthony heating and cooling came through for me at about 5:30 pm same day with no after hours charge.

My 22 year old furnace bit the dust last week. I called Neal Harris for an estimate to replace it. As usual Neal Harris promptly sent a technician. He recommended replacing it. He examined the furnace, air conditioning and humidifier. He was very knowledgable and was able to explain things so that I could understand what needed to be done. He then had a salesman come out to the house while he was there. The salesman was very professional and knowledgable as well. I have used Neal Harris for many years. I have consistently had excellent and prompt service. They have always been there when I needed them.
