This guy cost me thousands...
When he pointed out all the stupid stuff my contractor did. Had sent my pics to Navien first, same sentiment but less committal and no real solutions, but then I found Navien Repair Service of New York off the Navien web site.

Michael looked at my issues with my NHB150 and just for the heck of it looked over the rest of the boiler room (indirect DWH) and trouble shot the whole room in moments. He found issues Navien had missed. Wish I had gone here first.

He warns he is not the cheapest to be found, but he goes beyond what was necessary.

I don't normally write reviews, but Michael from Navien Repair Service definitely deserves recognition. I called Michael trying to get a second opinion when my own plumbing company who installed my Navien unit could not diagnose a problem I was having with a leaking unit. Here is a man who did not know me at all and took the time to patiently sit on the phone with me and troubleshoot my problem. After following his instructions and several emails back and forth with pictures, he correctly diagnosed what was wrong with my unit. I have had repair guys come to my home on several occasions since I had my Navien unit installed, and not once were they able to figure out the problem the first time (not to mention the cost you pay to have them walk in the door). Besides the fact that Michael was 100% more knowledgeable than any of these repair men, I don't know anyone in this profession that would have taken the time to do what he did. He really helped me out when I was in a jam and gave me piece of mind. If you're looking for a reliable and knowledgeable plumber who is an expert in Navien units, this is the man you want to call.

My first experience with Michael was when I had family visiting from Michigan. My gas burner stopped working which meant no heat/hot water. He arrived at my home and did not leave until the burner was repaired. He was a lifesaver then, and still continues to be one. Michael is extremely trustworthy and knowledgeable. I would never call anyone else for any type of plumbing repairs and I highly recommend Michael and Navien Repair Services.

This is an individual who is a complete scam artist!! My Navien unit shut down on me, so I called the first person I googled online. This person comes immediately with a $200 visit charge. I don't even know if he was a plumber or a crooked salesperson. Quoted me a ridiculous price for a repair which later turned out to be a simple flush of the unit. Over $4000 for a repair, when I purchased the unit and installed it for $5500.
After listening to his sales tactics and threats of how he was going to call the town building dept and Navien to void the warranty, I called Navien directly. They advised me that no one can void my warranty and gave me other numbers for authorized plumbers. I spent less $1000 for the flush and service call. He advised me that the unit was perfectly fine and required maintenance annually due to dirt and grime going in from town water line. I am calling the consumer affairs and licensing dept to complain!
