Initial quote to install a new washing machine outlet was $79 call fee, plus labor plus the part. I calculated after they doubled the price of the part this would be $300. I had already removed the drywall and made sure everything was easily accessible. Sonny arrived without the part and told me that he would go to Home Depot to get the part. 10 minutes later I get a call from the office. Now this is a fixed rate job that will cost $594. With Sharkbite connectors I bet this is no more than a 15 minute job I certainly was not asking them to replace the drywall. I'm thinking they priced the job the way they did because they did not want to bother with the trip to the hardware store.
They recently helped install bathroom vanity and laundry sink. The sink required some experience to access a drain. These guys did an excellent job and consulted us frequently on options as work proceeded. Very respectful of our home, courteous, professional and masked during the entire project. Would recommend them without hesitation.
Susanne F.I called Myers Plumbing as I had a drip under my kitchen sink that was soaking my cabinet and my
condominium building management services manager recommended I use them. I noticed the drip on Saturday afternoon and used a full bath towel to wipe up the water which continued to steadily drip the rest of the weekend filling up a rectangular baking pan an inch or two deep with water and soaking another towel. Two men arrived on Monday afternoon without a mask in sight during a pandemic. They spent 45 minutes in my home dumbfounded as the intermittent drip had ceased. They saw the water residue and a video I had taken of the drip and still had no idea what could cause it, but spent 45 minutes in my home without masks on turning the water off & on over and over... I could have done as much as they did... they took $49 for the service fee and said they would leave the ticket open should they drip come back and for me to call if so. Not even 24 hours later, I notice the drip is back and my cabinet is soaked again. I called and spoke to a live woman on the after hours line to share my frustration and requests new plumbers to come with masks and to review my updated video with clearer angles of the drip prior to coming so no one's time is wasted. She said someone would call me first thing in the morning. The entire day went by and I did not receive a call from Myers. I would not recommend them whatsoever. They are not reliable and do not take other's time, health & safety or finances into consideration. I do not trust that they would have been able to accurately solve the problem even if they had figured it out so it's probably for the best that they didn't call back and I have moved on to a more reliable, professional company that values its customers.
I called Myers because our pipes were backed up/blocked. Initially, their plumber spent nearly half an hour walking around the house saying there was just nothing that could be done. I was the one making suggestions and asking questions - because things happened in our home before and I knew there WAS in fact something that could be done. Finally, he called for more plumbers to advise. The problem was solved, however, they left a swamp of mud and sludge behind the washer. I am unable to pull the washer out of the wash closet myself - but could have done so with the three plumbers that had been at my home. I would've even HELPED clean the mess myself, but I cannot get to it on my own. It stinks and it's gross and I am physically unable to get to it. They were notified of the problem, the plumber said he was even aware of it when he left, but don't will not come correct it. So essentially Myers fixed one headache but left me with an entirely different one. Would not recommend. Really poor customer service. Very disappointed. Tried to find a resolution calmly over the phone, but sadly have been ignored.
I am very pleased with the installation process. Luis was on time and was very professional. He and his fellow employee arrived and installed the new unit quickly. My prior unit was over 20 years old and had a hole in the heating system that could emit carbon monoxide into my home. I am pleased with my more energy efficient system! I can set my summer temps at a more comfortable level now. I am a happy customer!
No problem with the actual service. Quickly diagnosed and repaired the problem.
How they charge you is a different story. Even though they have a trip charge ($49) and a fixed hourly rate ($100), they charged me a flat fee for the job. The flat fee was significantly more than the trip charge + the hourly rate + a fair price for the part based on comparison to Home Depot and Lowes. I paid $325 to replace a $50 part.
Seems underhanded to charge customers the higher of the flat fee or the actual cost (trip + hourly rate + parts).
Nan D.Could not be more pleased with my furnace installation and all other jobs I have ever called them for. They have new location and just call Stokley for service and any comments.
After paying them over $600 to install a range hood vent through my roof we found that in freezing temperatures it sweats and leaks water unto the stairway to the attic. In my mind an incomplete installation. They refused to correct expecting me to pay another $150 to wrap it with insulation. Their statement was it was installed to code and that is all they had to do. Very poor customer service.
