Myers comes out, via American Home Shield, comes out and spends 15 mins on site and finds evaporator coil is bad. I get a phone call for American Home Shield saying I'll owe $320 for rt-22 freon, 8lbs, (even though my system holds 7.5 lbs), saying I needed mandatory upgrades due to the repair (that are right there already), modifications due to the new coil not being outsized, etc. Scam artists American Home Shield and Myers AC. Recommend neither of these services as they are garbage, no integrity, and cite """"city codes"""" incorrectly to try and take advantage of regular folks. I gave 1 star because I couldn't give zero.

I would give this Myers company a zero score rating if I could!!! They were contracted by American Home Shield to service my central Air Condition unit that was freezing and had stopped running outside. The guy who came out continually tried to encourage us to by a unit for $5,000. Why would I spend money when I have insurance for that. Then he said I will need freon when he replaces some part that would cost me $500. I said just order the part and call me when it is in. He changed the compressor and said the unit wasn't going to work right until the other part is in and the freon has been added. Two days went by and the house is cool. I just received a call from this company 4 days later trying to scame me into agreeing to pay $560 to put FREON in my air condition Unit. I told the young lady to just come and change the part that American Home Shiled authorized and not put the freon in and she said she can't. I told her then I will call American Home Shield and request another company to come and service my unit and she said OK. I wouldn't recommend this company to my worst enemy. They are out to swindle homeowners out of their money!!!

I don't even know where to begin. American Home Shield sent Myers to our home beginning in September for a code 11 on our Rheem Tankless Water Heater. It is now October 30th and our water heater is not fixed. I have spent 18 hours on the phone between Myers and AHS. Myers misdiagnosed the problem, caused a gas leak and now contends there is a short in the wiring. I'm pretty sure they caused this as well. They moved the thermostat from inside our home to outside. I now have exposed wires sticking out of my wall. Both the technician and office staff have hung up on me. The after hours answering service is rude. I have requested a second opinion and am getting the run around from AHS. I have been told to be patient. It's almost been a month. If I could give both companies a zero I would. If you can avoid these companies do so at all costs.

To the previous reviewers, Bob S. and Marcille M.: I believe our experience finally blacklisted Myers with American Home Shield. Having several problems with our decades old heat pump over the last year, it finally quit early December. Myers was called out to give a second opinion for AHS to authorize replacement of the unit. Between December 14th and January 5th (today), """"Mark"""" came out to diagnose and/or fix the unit FIVE times. AHS received """"Mark's"""" diagnosis after his FOURTH visit, where he specified the replacement of the reversing valve. Authorized by AHS to complete this repair, he instead repeated his actions of the previous four visits: he lied. He did not complete this authorized repair, the repair he specifically diagnosed. He informed the current occupant of the home that they just needed to massage the thermostat to heat the Alabama home from its current 52 degree indoor temperature, the same thing he told them on every visit without conducting any repairs whatsoever. Myers did not care that this was his FIFTH visit, nor that he repeatedly lied to the occupants about the diagnosis. Myers did nothing over the course of 3 WEEKS to even extract the diagnosis report from their tech that they were contracted to provide. I would recommend steering well clear of any dealings with Myers. Our most recent conversation with American Home Shield leads us to believe they will no longer contract with Myers... and nor should you.

The men replaced my entire unit. They worked diligently and took their time. When all of the work was completed, an informational was given to ensure I was aware of everything that was replaced.

Well we shall see! Myers is still with AHS and we just placed a service call. We have experienced BAD Heating and A/C contractors previously at another home and we took it all the way to Arbitration and we were paid to have another contractor step in and pull the whole unit out and replace with another brand. So after reading the previous comments we are well informed and extremely cautious. We will update and award the appropriate stars at the conclusion. Thank you Michael & Teresa

American Home Shield sent them to my house to fix a 75 gallon water tank. They misrepresented issues and repairs to AHS. After discussing with AHS they are now sending another plumber. The agreed they were quoting for unnecessary parts and were not being honest about code.

Myers was sent out by our home warranty company to address a drain blockage. The technician came out and stated that our home did not have a ground-level clean out. He would need another tech to go with him on the roof to rod the roof vent ($225) or install a clean out on the side of the house ($1200). I was surprised that we did not have a clean out, so I called another plumber for a second opinion. Our house in fact has two clean outs: one clearly visible in the front yard, and another under the sink in question (that was shown to the Myers technician). We got the issue resolved by the second company to our satisfaction (for less than $100) and will not be using Myers Comfort Specialists again.

Great experience! Darrin was quick and efficient. Would use again should I have the need. Also offered a military discount was much needed.

RUDE RUDE RUDE TACTLESS UNPROFESSIONAL PERSON ANSWERING THE PHONE!!!!!!!!! I have a contract with American Home Shield and I called them because I was having an issue with my heating. They apparently called Myers (Big MISTAKE). Myers called me and I didn't get the call and my voicemail was full. I waited about 2 weeks and I called Myers because I was curious as to why I had not heard from them. This woman answered the phone (April 24, 2023) and was SO RUDE. I explained to her the situation and she said """"we called you on the 12th and the call went to voicemail and well we can't service you and sometimes it just happens that way"""". There was no second call to me or a follow up of any kind. She was rude, unprofessional, and tactless. I called American Home Shield and had my account flagged to """"NEVER CALL THEM AGAIN...EVER!!!!!!
