Professional, sales-type people will be sent to your home to set you up for worries. I fell for the lead-up to the hydro-jetting. They farmed it out and charged me 3 times what it would have been had I directly called the people doing the service

Don't sign for anything without getting at least a second opinion. Shame on me! Having a husband who had a stroke, I can see that they prey upon people.

They tried to convince me that replacing a hot water heater would be $2700!

The most terrible service ever. I have used them before and they have broken tiles on my bathroom floor repairing a toilet; sink faucet never worked right after they installed a new one; diverter repair on bath tub lasted a little over a year. Each time when you call back to complain they act as if it is your problem and not theirs. Plus they try to up-sell you on work that you don't need. The plumbers for the most part seem like new-bees and this is where they have OJT before they move on to a real plumbing company. Stay away. The only thing they do right is show up. The rest of it is a night mare. Plus the up-selling is really sleazy !

I called this morning as my toilet decided to no longer work. Within the time frame promised, someone was at my door, and worked quickly and most efficiently to fix the issue. They didn't charge me a dispatch fee as a first time customer(save $80) and because it wasn't a major fix -its actually something I can do myself, they didn't charge me a dime!

Yep. I wasn't taken to the cleaners, they were straight up honest. Would fully recommend.

Called this company at noon. They said they could have someone out between noon and 9 p.m. and would provide a courtesy call 30-45 minutes prior to arrival. At 8:30 p.m. I called to see if anyone would be coming to address our plumbing issue only to find out they wouldn't be able to attend to it that night.

Not worth waiting around a whole other day just to see if they might be able to make it so I cancelled and called another plumber.

We called to have our garbage disposal replaced. We were quoted $650 to replace the disposal, and when my husband tried to decline, the workman replied that we already owed a diagnostics charge of $300 (not the $80 we had been quoted on the phone), so he went ahead with the work. When we called later for an explanation of why the fee was so high (a part worth $100 was installed in less than an hour) and why the diagnostics charge was different, it took nearly a dozen phone calls to get through to a manager, and even then, we were refused any explanation. They wouldn't give the model number or price of the disposal installed, and they won't give an hourly rate. In addition, the workman left the ""knocker"" in when he did the job, so our dishwasher wouldn't drain, and it took two weeks for them to send someone out to fix it. (At that visit, they also offered to fix a leak they noted in the same sink...for the bargain price of $700.) We did pester them enough to get some of our money back, but were told that the head manager was ""too busy to deal with it"", and we still have received neither an explanation nor an apology for the workman's lie about the call charge, the installation error, the dozen phone calls we had to make, or the failure to explain the exorbitant fees. If you hire this company, expect unexplained high prices, disregard for advertised policy, poor workmanship and zero accountability.

They wanted to charge us $440 to replace the two valves for our washing machine hook-ups. I asked twice for a breakdown of parts and labor. Both times he refused. The repairman called and asked the manager for a discount, they brought it down to about $380. We said no way, that's still way too high. Went to Home Depot and purchased the parts; less than $15 for the two valves and Teflon tape. In all fairness, we already had the two sets of pliers needed to remove the old ones and tighten the new ones so we didn't have to purchase those. It took less than 30 minutes for me to replace the valves, and I had no experience with this. Ignoring the fact they they pay less for parts than I would, that means, even with the discount, they were going to charge $365 for less than an hours worth of labor and the trip to our house.
That's the facts, you be the judge of whether their labor is worth that much. My vote is no, a total ripoff.
They already had our address in their system when we called, meaning they had been out to the house before we purchased it. My guess - they assumed we were the same pushover they scammed before.

I called Takoma Park Plumbers - and they were excellent on the phone. And then the My Plumber guy - Dave Powers - comes and did a great, quick job.

My sink was dripping. He fixed it for about $200 - with a year guarantee (a reasonable price, I think! -- plus five other people had tried to fix it - non-plumbers - and couldn't).

It took him about twenty minutes.

I definitely recommend Dave, My Plumer and Takoma Park Plumbing.

This company is terrible. I had scheduled an appointment for a toilet relocate and pipe repair for a Thursday. The person comes out and says that he was told it was a toilet fitting and he can't do the work and I need a someone from their retrofit team. So I take another day off of work and have an appointment scheduled for Friday and at 12:30 I get a call from them saying that they won't be able to make the appointment and could I reschedule for next week. Completely unprofessional.

Normally, I would give this plumber 5 stars. Came to replace a kitchen faucet and was done in 20 minutes. Gave me some choices (only Moen), and got to work after I signed off. They were clean, respectful, and very efficient.

I'm giving MyPlumber three stars because they are expensive. I thought the price was very expensive so I called some other plumbers to get estimates for the same work/faucet. Turns out MyPlumber charged about $200 more than what others would have. I appreciate the fast and clean service, but I'm not sure it was worth $200 more to me.

Recently had a water leak in my home. Associate from My Plumber responded very timely. He was very professional and thorough, indicated that I had a leaky toilet and valve. He took pictures even contacted Serv Pro to have them come to my home. This is the least I would have expected for a $175 diagnostic fee, before the 10% discount. This amount was not even deducted from the final bill since they did the work.

What added insult to my already bad day was they charged me $730, before the nice 10% discount to replace the toilet and valve. They only offered two toilet models and would have charged over $400 just to install a toilet if I bought it elsewhere; which should have been my RED flag.

Would never call this company again, their pricing is outrageous. Unfortunately, you'll have to pay $80, service call fee, just to find that out. Now knowing that I could have purchased this same toilet for About $160 - I feel like I've just been raped.
