My Plumber Plus is a huge bait-and-switch shell game that relies on manipulating people who are not home repair experts. They push you to join their ""club"" that gets you discounts and free annual inspections.

First, they charged me $1,300.00 to replace a garbage disposal. $500 for the parts and $800 for the labor, because they had to insert a 2.5"" piece of PVC pipe. If I had had the time for someone else to replace it, I would have.

Then, it gets worse. The ""free"" annual inspections are ways for them to get inside your home so that they can scare and guilt you into getting unnecessary repairs. I contractor told me that I had to replace my three-year-old hot water heater because if I didn't (and I quote), ""my house would explode.""

I had a 24-year-old boiler, which, yes, was at the ""end of life"", but they insisted that they shut it down completely so that (and I quote), ""my house wouldn't explode."" While I did have some repairs done - not by them - I have saved a log of money and my house has not exploded.

DO NOT USE THEM. The most UNPROFESSIONAL organization I have ever dealt with in my 40 years of home ownership. Their first technician ""re-wired"" my system which had been working for 4 years, their second tech told me ""you need a new system since nothing works. It's $10 or $15K"". I called a different compmany and in 20 miutes they fixed the ""re-wiring"" and my system was up and running. The manager at Plumber Plus, like a 4-year old, won't return my calls.

My Plumber Plus is a terrible company. I needed a plumber quickly. A Google search brought up their sponsored advertisement first. It promised service today. I called and scheduled a service call for $49 for an inspection fee that would be waived for the service charge. They sent a technician who barely glanced at my bathtub drain that was clogged. He called his office, which said it would cost $427 dollars to repair.

I called the My Plumber Plus office, which insisted on that price, despite no real inspection. I then called another plumber (United Air Temp), which came out and did the job, including the inspection, for $73. My Plumber Plus is disgusting. They should not be in business!

Agree with Betty C. 's review. Charged quite a sum for a job that should have cost half of what I paid. Walk around and hard sell for other products too. Caveat emptor, call another company for estimates.

They will come quickly. Sometimes they do a good job and sometimes they have to redo things. They will charge you so much more than you should have to pay, even with discounts. Shop around or you will be taken for an expensive ride.

We needed a new garbage disposal. We were replacing an old Insinkerator Badger 5. I called Home Depot and determined that that disposal would cost $99.96. So I guessed a new one installed might cost $300.
Called My Plumber from a fridge magnet. Asked for an over-the-phone estimate. They refused to give it. Said a technician would have to come to our house first. She also said there would be a nearly $80 Dispatch Fee if repair was not made by their technician.
Tech arrived. Confirmed disposal was shot. He told me I could replace with the exact same model for $624.07 or upgrade to a 3/4 hp unit for $790.26!
I asked why it would cost more than $500 to install a $100 disposal? He responded that they didn't buy their parts from Home Depot. I said maybe they should. He also said the prices he gave me were computer generated prices of installing a new disposal by them.
Astounded, I asked if their job prices are all preset, why couldn't I have gotten an estimate over the phone? He couldn't answer that.
So, it seems, I made one of the biggest mistakes of my 73-year-old life by calling My Plumber in the first place!
