Scott A.First, I will call out Jay, the plumber who arrived by name. He was a rockstar.
1. Replaced our defunct garbage disposal
2. replaced our broken sink faucet
So I called early in the morning, around 9 am. Jay was at our door two hours later to repair our two issues.
Jay explained what could be done but also what should be done. He was incredible. Overall, the service was amazing, fast, and well, they are now our plumbers!
GO TO SEARS instead!
They are even worse than i thought.
they do not honor warranty.
my current Water Heater purchased from MyPlumber was within warranty period. The water heater broke down. Technician came and said he cannot honor warranty. he said we didn't buy annual servicing from them so they cannot honor warranty.
Didn't make any sense to us. The technician said do want you want but my plumber will not honor warranty even though we have warranty left on the water heater.
we had to buy a brand new water heater from SEARS.
my advice- Beware of myPlumber. they are dishonest and scam people.
their response says i bought it from sears!!! hahaha..if my home address was not on the receipt i received from them then i would have posted it here for everyone's review.. they are scam artist!!! do not trust them!!
I was pleased with the booking process and also happy with the plumber and the work he did. I was not at all happy with the timeliness of the visit. They asked for someone to be home during the window of 4 to 6pm. At 6:20 they called to say that the technician was ""on his way."" This is very disrespectful of client time. The second issue I have with them is they have set pricing for jobs, which the technician cannot deviate from. I was not told this pricing until the technician was finally onsite and the tenant in my apartment had been waiting almost 3 hours. The price for what was a 20 min job was OUTRAGEOUSLY high. If I had sent the technician away at that point I would have had to pay the cost for a visit with no service. I felt that My Plumber had me trapped with deceptively high pricing. I will not use them again. One other note - the customer service rep did call me the following day due to my unhappiness. She spent a lot of time trying to convince me that their technicians are ""masters"" and therefore worth more $$. Not sure it's worth that kind of premium for a simple clogged drain.
After two trips to my house My Plumber ($459) diagnosed our blockage problem as a broken pipe under the floor of my hot water heater. Their estimated cost to temporarily remove the hot water heater, dig up concrete and repair the pipe was $6200 and it would be a two day or more project. I was placed in line for the next repair crew but when the crew showed up several days later they were confused on what work needed to be done. A second team was sent out and they couldn't understand the temporary relocation of the water heater. After a week of calls back and forth,we called another plumber who clearer the blockage with no problem for $135!
A month later, My Plumber has yet to return my deposit for the proposed work, $1800, or the initial $459. They are asking to come out and re-evaluate the work of the second plumber.
I don't trust them and I wonder if they would have quoted me the same price if I was a man. I will never do business with them again and I will be reporting to consumer affairs.
Dick S.The experienced service tech performed the normal AC checks but also found that our unit was not configured correctly when it was installed (by another company). He explained what was wrong and demonstrated how the changes were working.
Stay far AWAY! Two of our bathrooms were leaking and the plumber that was sent to our home arrived looking dirty and smelling strongly of cigarette smoke. After leaving a complete mess in our downstairs bathroom, I called the company and they agreed to reimburse us the fee for him looking (but not fixing) at the issue. After much convincing, I went against my better judgement and agreed for the company to remodel our bathroom in order to fix the leak and the bathroom really needed a remodel anyway. We did received a small discount in the work, however the contractor that arrived had no idea what we wanted and the designer that we met with had to come to our home yet again and review the paperwork with the contractor. This company is so disorganized. They told us 2 contractors would be working on the project and we only got 1 the first 2 days. They told us it would take 5 days easily, it took 6.5 days with no apology. The icing on the cake was when they attempted to do electrical work in the bathroom and 2 days after the project was finished, we lost power. The electrician that came to our home informed us ($400 later) that the plumbers had left us in an extremely dangerous, life threatening situation from the poor electrical work that they did. NOT WORTH it!
Teresa C.Not sure which franchise of My Plumber actually came out to my home, since I contacted them via an 800 number. I had an urgent matter and needed same day service. I was told ""no extra charge"" for same day. They did come out and the guy snaked my tub. The service was acceptable, but I was grossly overcharged and the plumber was rude. I will never use this company again.
