Came out and snaked both my bathroom sink and my shower.
The cost for that and a new p-trap was about $450, which is what I was expecting.
Overall very knowledgeable and would recommend again
From Chris and Darlene who answer phones to Dan who knows his plumbing. Love these folks friendly, fast and knowledgeable. I recommend them to all my friends and coworkers.
Extremely frustrated and disappointed in the service we have been receiving from My Guys. They were first at our house on September 25 and discovered we had a backwater flow stop that we did not even know existed (it was under carpet) and that it was frozen in place. They made this discovery after cutting out our stand pipe and getting their snake stuck on the backflow. This was on a Friday, and we were left with the snake cut off and stuck in our pipes and them saying they'll be back Wednesday to dig up our yard and the line leading to the street, since they saw dirt in the pipes meaning they were broken. This meant we had toilets that were ""working"" but we could only flush once a day, couldn't use toilet paper, couldn't go number two and couldn't run large amounts of water (i.e. dishwasher, shower, laundry) for 6 days. They also disconnected all the storm drains connected to our gutters.
When they returned on Wednesday, September 30, they cut off part of our Magnolia tree, dug a huge whole in our front yard, broke up the floor in the room with the backwater stop under the carpet, removed stuck backflow and freed the stuck snake. While replacing the pipes in the yard they discovered that they couldn't run the line far enough to get a downgrade when connecting to the main sewer connection. This means that the stuff in the pipes would not be ""running"" downhill and would get stuck in the pipes (probably why there was a backwater flow stop in the first place.) This is where the work stopped - they would need different permits to dig farther to make the proper connection OR they would need to install a sewer pump inside our house, in the room that had the backwater stop and this pump would take up several feet of space. They left with the floor inside partially dug up, with a pile of dirt in the room, with a giant whole in our front yard, a huge mound of dirt covering the rest of the yard, disconnected storm drains, a disconnected and removed toilet in our basement, and a floor covered in tp and poop from when they were snaking on Friday. This was September 30 and we were told it would be only a few days to get the new permits. They left us with ""functioning"" plumbing, just cautioning to not use tp, or flush twice if we did.
We then only heard from them once or twice a week for the next two weeks. Turns out that our city sold the sewer lines to the county, meaning that you could not dig past our yard without a county permit. This includes digging through the sidewalk and tree lawn. We learned this not from My Guys, but from Easy Flow Plumbing and Drain Service who came out, after hours to give us a second opinion and then spent the next morning contacting the county and city to see what the hold up was. This was on October 14, exactly two weeks after My Guys started the work. We found out that a plan still had not been submitted to the county yet and wasn't for a few more days. It took another week for the county and city to figure out who was in charge of what, and to see what they wanted to do. It was only after the second opinion that we started to get daily updates from My Guys.
Finally, Monday, October 26 we got word that they got all the permissions and would be out today to finish the job. 32 days after they first arrived at our house. It's important to note, that I made them come back out and clean up the floor covered in tp and poop last Friday, because leaving a biohazard like that for three weeks was unacceptable. They dropped the excavator at our house last night, so I knew things were finally going to be taken card of. Or so I thought.
It took so long to re-dig and fill in the trench, because of all the rain and the fact that they did not shore up the hole in the first place that they informed us that they couldn't finish the work inside today and would not be able to come back until next week to do it. ARE YOU KIDDING ME???!!!! It has been 32 days since this ordeal began and you are telling me you can't finish it because you have other jobs scheduled this week? How are we not a priority after an entire month of non-functioning plumbing, and a potential liability in our front yard (you should see the way they ""fenced"" off the hole.) After a frustrated conversation they agreed to come Friday. That's still three days from now.
This whole situation has been ridiculous. I realize that some of it was not their fault or in their control. The city and county had to both get involved and approve the work needing to be done. But what I find unacceptable is that it took them two weeks to even submit the revised plans to the county, that we were not informed of the progress and situation as it was happening, that they did not schedule enough time to complete the job and that they left that biohazard mess in the first place. The workers themselves have been doing good work, and we haven't had any trouble with them. All our issues are from the manager, planners and organizers for My Guys.
These guys are out to make money. I call to get a check on my air conditioning unit . My home is recently purchased and came with a home Warrenty . The guy immediately set into act , stating the air condition had 450,000 miles it was not built for the home . If he repaired it , it won't last two years etc. He told me to call and get a ticket so he could replace the unit. I was quote that the house call with be 40.00 dollars he charged 99.00 . This company is certainly out to mislead you and will go right for the money. Yes my system is old , but for now it's working great. My house is so cool I still have thick covering on my bed . Be careful with giving information to company that are out for the money. Yes we are in a crisis but honest is very important when serving the community.. Thumbs down My Guy.
Jason D.These guys rock! They are prompt, consistent, and stand behind their work. Jeff and Eric have delivered great services to our family throughout the years and we appreciate them! I would recommend My Guys to anyone shopping around.

Ralph M.Knowledgeable plumbing organization, very careful to analyze the problem and only fix what is necessary. Good communication about time they will arrive, very careful and clean inside the house. Takes the time to throughly clean when job is finished. All work we needed was done in a timely manner. Very reasonable and fair pricing. Took the necessary time to explain options and recommendations. We highly recommend them for any plumbing needs. Very knowledgeable staff helps make the homeowner satisfied that the job will be done right the first time.
Cindy G.I had warm air coming out of my central air conditioning unit on a newly purchased home. I called for an estimate. Nothing was ever taken apart. The Serviceman Jerry Johnson never even took off the plenum cover to view the A coil. He never tested the coil with soap suds or anything. He stated it was bad stuck a thermometer in a few vents and told me I was looking at $1588.00 this included tax. When I asked how he could determine that he stated, I've been doing this a long time. Did he think I was the little naive housewife with my hubby's credit card? Not! For that price I could've purchased a new unit. He was quoting R22 all through the estimate for 6 lbs of freon. I have a R410A unit which holds 4.4 lbs of freon. He was using R22 designated equipment to check the charging pressure of a R410A unit. This is a no-no, it's like mixing blood types. He saw a lady and thought he had a sucker. Not. He also tried to sell me a fancy $500-$600 filter and a chimney liner for $699 which was also not needed as he stated. I went along with his suggestions waiting to see this estimate. It took Mr Jerry Johnson days to email this said estimate. He came out on Thurs I did not receive this estimate until Sunday by email. If you need service, you want your estimate immediately. Not days later, I had to keep calling to even receive it. If you don't want to be deceived don't call these guys! This is a joke I'm sure they will not be refunding my 39.99 estimate fee after I pointed out all their errors. Sorry Jerry Johnson, I'm an educated professional myself.
