After being taken advantaged of and deceived by a prior contractor, I was anxious about hiring another company to fix someone else's un-permitted gas line hack job.
 
When I contacted My Essential Plumber, Jay was extremely quick to respond.  He came out on a Friday night to start planning to ensure the job would be done properly and under a permit.
 
Jay is so incredibly knowledgeable, fair and hard-working.  There's no job too big or too small- Jay will get the job done!

Jay Clayton is an amazing master plumber with 30 years of experience. He does all of the work himself, and he is organized, meticulous, has a convenient contactless system for the estimate and invoice and does great work. He emphasizes educating his customers about their options. He came right over when our hot water heater broker and leaked all over the inside of our house. He replaced the water heater and recommended some safeguards for the future. He's amazing and I would highly recommend him!

Woke up Monday morning to no hot water. My wife is pregnant so I knew I needed to fix this ASAP, especially before her lavender epsom salt bath at night that helps her sleep. She needs sleep. After watching some YouTube videos, I knew this hot water heater was no match for me and I needed a professional. My go to plumber was unavailable but My Essential Plumber said he could come out as soon as he finished his current job. He arrived early before his estimated time. He was able to get the pilot light on within minutes of arriving. The light, however, didn't stay on. After multiple attempts he was able to quickly diagnose the problem. He noticed the appliance was within warranty and called the company, learned the appliance had not been registered and assisted with the information. He conducted a diagnostic testing with the technician over the phone who confirmed the diagnosis we already knew and provided an authorization number to pick up the part. He returned the next day, changed out the part and the water heater works perfectly.

During the entire process he walked me through every detail of my appliance, what it was supposed to do and what it was not supposed to do. He shared he is ""in the education business"" and he wants to make sure I know how to operate my hot water heater. We were without hot water for less than 24 hours. During his testing he made me aware my water softener was not working correctly which has been the reason my water pressure has been low for months without me being able to correct the problem or have other plumbers find the problem. He immediately took action to repair this to prevent further damage to my home.

In addition to the hot water heater he earned my business with another repair that was well overdue but I didn't have time to complete.

Recently my laundry room had a leak. Jay came out in very very short time and isolated the leak and was able to fix it in a very reasonable price and with excellent workmanship I would recommend Jay for any plumbing needs you might have
