Founded in 1961. Barnett's began as a family-run enterprise by Harold Barnett alongside his brother-in-law Dick Parkhurst. Dick left the business in 1964 to relocate to Alaska. Harold focused on plumbing, heating, and air conditioning systems in newly constructed homes until the recession hit in the 1980s when his son Bob took the reins and steered the company in a fresh direction.
