Founded in 1961. Barnett's started as a family-owned company by Harold Barnett and his brother-in-law Dick Parkhurst. In 1964, Dick departed the company to pursue opportunities in Alaska. Harold focused on plumbing, heating, and air conditioning systems in newly constructed homes until the economic downturn of the 1980s when his son Bob stepped in to lead and redirected the company’s focus.
