Not my buddy the plumber. Overpriced basic work.

The good

-Free quote.
-Super nice guys.
-great receptionist.
-The quote was humorous and entertaining. These gents used big ""plumbing"" words to make the work sound difficult. Seismic strap, electrolysis lol.

The bad....

The estimate was exceptionally high. I wanted to get other bids (glad I did). The markup was highest at this company sometimes up to 10-20X the cost of parts. I get labor but come on!

Examples:

-I ended up making the repairs myself. Loose toilet $250.00 quote. My cost $15.00 and 20 minutes.

-winterizing back hose line. There price was around $289.00. My cost $35.00 and 30 minutes time.

-putting a gage on the main into the home. Quote $450.00. My cost $60 and 45 minutes time.

My advice, find an honest plumber.

Better yet! Plumbings pretty easy. YouTube it and do it yourself :).

TJ came to our house in Park City to provide heating solutions to our basement, which was always 10-15 degrees cooler than the upstairs but vital to be rectified as have bedrooms, an office and play area there.
Replaced our 16 year old furnace with a modern, multi speed furnace, installed cold air intakes and a supply into and out of the basement utilities room.
Work done on day and time allocated and professionally.
Furnace works at a higher efficiency, much less noise and energy bills much lower too.
Will definitely use again for other hvac or plumbing work.

I didn't utilize their services, however they came to my house to give a free bid on a Friday afternoon and quoted the job remarkably high. Almost 700 to replace the kitchen sink.... I offered 450 and they declined. I just had pardners plumbing replace the sink, reattach the disposal and change an exterior faucet for 300.

Last Thursday our water heater wasn't working, at midnight. No hot water, no warm water. Just plain cold water. I called My Buddy the Plumber on Friday morning around 8 and they told me the soonest they could send someone over to check was that same day between 7-9pm. I booked it and Derek showed up just about 7:30pm. Derek was friendly and professional. I appreciate that he came with plastic shoe wrappers to keep our floor clean. To me that was unnecessary but very thoughtful and we appreciate it. He quickly found out what the problem was and provided 6 options with details and estimated time of work for hub, who was out of town, and I to think about. We decided that same night. I called their office around 9pm. I was worried we might not be able to schedule that weekend since it's so last minute and I was about to leave town for a week. Cassie from the main office made it happen and Derek came with an assistant with a new tank the next day. I was told the window was between 1-5pm but Derek actually showed up by 12:30, even better. It took them about 2 hours to get the old one out, install a new tank, and they even provided protection for our new floors. Definitely recommend their service! Thank you!

They were really fast to book an appointment for a dishwasher install.

Had a little confusion regarding getting an estimate versus actually doing the job but in the end dishwasher got installed and we were happy with Mike.

I've never dealt with these guys before but I was having water hammering issues because the water pressure valve was wearing out. I told them this on the phone when I set up my appointment for a free check. When the rep got here they were nice but gave me other solutions and stuff to get me up to code, which is nice to help my water heater live longer. I explained what I thought it was after doing research and speaking to contractors. But after trouble shooting what they think will fix it, there was still water hammering after I paid for all this trouble shooting and it still wasn't working, it was frustrating. So they stepped away to make a call to come back to say it was the water pressure valve which is what I told him when I got there and what I told them on the phone. I was expecting to spend another $250+ again for something I told them about.

But because of this they were going to eat the cost and not charge me for anything else. Coming from the customer service field I cannot express how this is the perfect way to treat customers.

I couldn't be happier that everything is fixed now at no additional cost and wanted to share my experience.

I hope there's repeat discounts for returning customers because of Cory living up to such amazing standards and owning up to resolve the problem to make everyone happy there will be a good chance I will come back.

We have had air conditioning problems since we bought our home years ago. We have had multiple people come out to try and fix our situation. Every time we have always heard the same thing ... that our house is just too old to get a cooling we want. My buddy the plumber said that he would figure it out. He works for hours and even into the night and solved our problem. I am so glad we called and will never call any one else!!!

I called My Buddy the Plumber after getting no response from a different plumber that had been recommended to me.
When I called to make an appt, I was given a 2 hour block when the plumber might arrive and he came at the beginning of that time. (always a plus!) Jerry came to install a new disposer in my kitchen. he was fast, knowledgeable, clean and also a nice guy! It was great!
I will definitely call them again! and I'll ask for Jerry!

Called after 5pm. I live in So Jordan. Had a clogged sink drain. They answered the phone promptly and were available after hours. Mike -- their service tech --- arrived exactly on time. Quickly got the drain unclogged. Mike is awesome-- very friendly and knowledgable. He will give you tips on how to avoid the problem in the future. Will definitely use My Buddy the Plumber for ally my future plumbing need. They are awesome!!
