As an HOA, we called My Buddy on a Tuesday and made an appointment for Thursday afternoon from 1-3. Once 2:45 pm rolled around on Thursday, we had not heard from My Buddy so we gave them a call. They told us the appointment had been rescheduled for a later date - without informing us why or when. We had taken time off of work to accommodate the appointment, so they dispatched another tech to come out NLT than 4pm. We Called back at 4:30pm and said they wouldn't be here until 6:30p. They never showed up - period. Not on Thursday, not the following day, never.

I'd recommend looking elsewhere for a plumber. Can't speak to their work, but if getting them to show up was this hard, I can't imagine it being great service.

I would give them zero stars if I could.

Our hot water heater was indicating a gas chamber error. Had My Buddy the Plumber (Eric) came out. The water heater is only 3 years old so he called Rheem and got the part sent to my address under warranty . I was told it would arrive in 2 to 4 days. It was delivered 5 days later ( Saturday- not My Buddy's fault but it should be sent by air, not ground). On Monday, I called to get them to come install it and was told there were no appointments until Wednesday but I was on the schedule for 8 am. Surprise, No one showed up on Wednesday and at 11am I called again and they told me I was not on the schedule. Needless to say I gave up on My Buddy as they are useless. I called an independent plumber, had them out in less than 24 hours and he had the sensor (not the part My Buddy requested to be sent) on his truck and installed in 15 minutes and $200 cheaper. I will do my best to steer anyone who asks away from My Buddy The Plumber in the future.

BTW, we were without hot water for 11 days due to My Buddy the Plumber's incompetence.

This company is dishonest and unprofessional. We needed a kitchen faucet replaced and are covered under a warranty. They did not call ahead, showed up outside the conveyed time window, and then took a few photos and left. We didn't hear anything fpr two days. We called and were told that The told our warranty company that we had broken the faucet intentionally, which voided our warranty and then quoted us $500 to replace a kitchen faucet. Absolutely not. When we called the company that sent him, they refused to correct the false report. Fraudulent extortionist behavior. I'll be reporting them and the other company to the business bureau.

Our heat went out and we were able to schedule an appointment fairly quickly with My Buddy but then soon came to regret our decision. They forgot multiple appointments. It took multiple people to fix a problem after they already installed a part that they said 100% would fix the problem- it was never even the right part. We had to have a whole other company come fix their work. We were out of heat for about 2 weeks and My Buddy kept delaying maintenance appointment to come fix it or would lie and say we ""never had one scheduled"". So unprofessional. They still can't even return a phone call to discuss a partial refund and it has been 3 weeks or more. Extremely disappointed in this company.

Wow, honestly DERRICK IS THE BEST!! He came over to my moms house and fixed our dish disposal in literally 2 seconds! Then he moved on to our other issues and fixed everything! He was extremely knowledgeable and soooo friendly! He was very thorough, and answered all of our questions(trust me we ask a ton of questions). I highly recommend this company and ask for Derrick! They are a little pricey but what isn't now in 2022?! Highly recommend and if you get Derrick he will take care of you. I hope he gets a raise or some recognition!

My Buddy used to be my go-to plumbing service. I always get competitive bids, review suppliers' recommendations, and make my decisions based on price, quality, and lead time. I know that they use quality supplies and quality service is spot on but this job came in more than double the other 3 companies' quotes. I went with Tankless Xperts being more than $5,000 less and so glad I did.

I had an AC that was freezing over. The technician Dustin C. that came was trying to show me everything that was wrong with my furnace and recommended a replacement for rather a simple AC issue that was fixed by another company in 30 minutes the same day by topping off my low refrigerant. The guy was not even interested in measuring the refrigerant levels as one of the common causes to the AC freezing issue, acting like that was so difficult and nothing he could do to fix short of replacing my furnace.
This company has turned into a sales/commission driven shop instead of servicing their customers.

We spent approximately $10k to have My Buddy the Plumber install a new AC unit in our house. Yet, every time it gets extremely hot outside, the unit dies. We have called My Buddy the Plumber for help nearly a dozen times. Each time, they send someone to our house and ""swear"" it is fixed. Yet within months, it breaks again. Now, they won't even return my call in a timely manner. So I spent $10k to buy a worthless piece of junk that does not work. They sold us a defective unit and refuse to help. My next step is calling a lawyer. Save yourself the hassle and avoid them if at all possible.

After being told that we would have someone out in the morning we waited all morning and finally called to see when he was going to be out. I was told that because of the weather he was delayed at his first job. When Dustin finally arrived he said he was waiting at home until the weather eased up and he wasn't at another job. He plugged his machine into my A/C unit and apparently the fan was out. Dustin proceeded to tell us that our AC is too old and also our furnace. We would need to buy both an AC unit and a furnace.
We asked for a quote on a new HVAC system and was told I don't do that. He was eager to get out the door.
When the next guy came we got several bids on the different models we could select. The least being $10,000 labeled as a ""band-aid"" fix, the next in line ""meet federal regulations"", and the highest being $22,000. Can someone explain how a new HVAC system is a band-aid fix?
I have done business with My Buddy multiple times before and have always felt that I was not getting ripped off and had great customer service.
We ended up getting more bids and found another company that was honest and gave us a good deal on a new system.
