These guys need to check their work before they leave! It's a must to always validate the work that is performed to be sure it is functioning properly.

I've had these guys come out 4 times in the past 3 weeks. The first time it was fantastic! Jon came out to look at our HVAC system and helped us save some money by showing us how we could fix a simple issue ourselves. He came out the next day to do routine maintenance on the furnace before winter. Before he left, he forgot to check his work so we were without AC for two days. But he came back for a 3rd visit and got us working again.

Today, we had Mike come out and replace our garbage disposal because it was leaking and pretty old. We have a two basin sink so originally the right hand sink was the problem. After Mike replaced our garbage disposal, a couple of hours later, the left side of the sink was leaking and we had a nice large puddle. He checked to make sure the garbage disposal side was working but he forgot to check that the other side was okay. Unfortunately, we are left with only one usable basin for another day.

I requested a quote from these guys based on the high Yelp reviews. I was surprised that for a basic AC service that they were about 3x more than the other quotes I had received. When I asked for details of their service to make sure I comparing the same scope, they never got back to me. When I followed up again, they just ignored me and never replied. Not quite sure how they get the high reviews they do based on my experience.

Pay close attention to all the 1-star reviews. In my opinion, they really draw into question the legitimacy of all the 5-star reviews.

My kitchen faucet has had a slow leak for a while now. It finally got bad enough that I had to call someone. One of my neighbors recommended My Buddy the Plumber. I called and they were able to come out the same day. Drue was the plumber that helped me. He was very nice and he did the job quickly and efficiently. I'm so happy that I called and in the future I will always use My Buddy the Plumber.

So my father passed away the end of November 2018. I have been helping my 85 year old mom at the house dad designed and built approximately 30 years ago. Dad was the type of person that could fix anything. There was a slow leak in one of the master bedroom bathroom sinks. I turned the water supply of to that sink. That bathroom has 2 sinks, a bathtub and a shower with matching faucets. I called 'My Buddy the Plumber' to come out to see if they could help with the leak with the on sink. Plumber came out the next day, looked in the cabinet under the sink, which took less than 2 minutes, and said that the faucet would need to be replaced. The cost he told me would be $500.00 since it was a ""Wide Spread Faucet"". I told the plumber that I figured it would be expensive but I didn't realize it would be that much. The new faucet would not match the other fixtures in the bathroom. I let him know that I would need to discuss the cost with mom and I would call the company back to schedule the appointment if she agreed. I thanked him for coming out and walked him to the door. I felt it was necessary to investigate the problem before making a decision so I grabbed three tools and a flashlight from the garage and proceeded to disconnect the two water supply lines and removed the faucet from the sink. It took me 10 minutes. It was obvious where the water was leaking from. I took the part that was leaking to England Plumbing. 5 minute drive from the house. The man there fiddled with the part, removed a rubber washer and a rubber o-ring, got into a couple drawers and said, that should do it. Took him about 2 minutes. He punched some information into the cash register and handed me the bill. The parts needed to repair the faucet was a Whopping $1.47. I thanked the man, told him to have a great day and headed back to the house. I then reinstalled the faucet, reconnected the 2 water supply lines and opened the water valves. That process to me approximately 10 minutes. Guess what, no more leak! I spent just over an hour and $1.47 to solve the problem and all fixtures still match. Based on that information and the $500.00 bid I received from My Buddy the Plumber, I will definitely not be contacting that company or recommend them to anyone.

They did an unbelievably bad job on my furnace install. the guy didn't install a filter, so our house was just filling up with of dust. When i went to change the filter I realized there wasn't one! They sent a guy over to fix it, and my 4 year old daughter could have done a better job. the guy just cut a hole in the vent and slid a filter in. huge gaps on all sides so the air was just going around. they sent another guy out when i realized this, and he did what looked like a good job, but i just found a HUGE gap where the air is getting sucked in around the filter, sucking the dirty air from my crawl space into my house! No wonder my filter always looks new and clean. so basically I've been running my heat and air for a year with no filter. wtf

They were fantastic. We had an issue with a broken pipe on a Saturday evening, and they responded very quickly, and had someone out (Shea) within 2 hours. The plumber and the office provided fast and clear communication, and offered the solution that made the most sense. He fixed the water temporarily and came back 2 days later (when it wasn't after-hours and he had the parts needed) for a permanent fix. We appreciate that his recommendations were based on what needed to be done right away and what we could wait to fix. Overall the price was reasonable and the service was fantastic. We will absolutely be using them again for our plumbing needs.

Not my buddy the plumber came for a regular heating and air tune up. They checked my system and said it was running great. I believe the technician was Austin. He plastered my buddy stickers all over my laundry room on my tankless water heater and two on my furnace. He left his CO meter on the vent while he was wrapping up the paperwork and said that he left in the house. When he looked at it he said I had a high readings and asked for a supervisor to come out. Supervisor came out and could not find a reason but suggested I need a new furnace immediately. I asked for a second opinion and the second company did not find any CO. I then bought my own because it really scared me because we have small children in the house and still have never received a reading. If you read other reviews below, you will see similar experiences...shameful.

I wish that I hadn't put so much weight in all the positive reviews of My Buddy The Plumber. I decided to call them solely based on the reviews. This company failed to perform good work on my house repeatedly. Here is a breakdown:

1. Serviced AC and recharged it.
2. AC quit functioning a day later.
3. Bought new AC and scheduled installation. I chose the top of the line model which was over $5000.
4. AC unit that they brought was the wrong unit. I had to stop the installers because I could see that they brought the wrong unit. They didn't even check the part number on the invoice!
5. Had to schedule another installation day.
6. Correct AC unit was installed but had been damaged. The unit was bent on the side. I called and complained. My Buddy ordered new housing and promised that they would fix the unit and comb out the bent fins. (See pictures)
7. Over a month and no contact from My Buddy. I had to call and complain.
8. My Buddy finally got the parts. They installed the new housing but failed to comb out the fins. I just gave up on getting them to comb out the fins.
9. Along comes winter and the furnace doesn't work.
10. Called a reputable company to inspect the furnace. They found that My Buddy had not connected a wire on the new thermostat properly. A terminal was clamped on the insulation rather than the conductor. (See picture)

Conclusion: My Buddy The Plumber hires incompetent technicians and they don't follow through on their promises!

Look elsewhere for your HVAC needs!

These guys have many great reviews, so I gave them a call. The women that answered was very polite and professional. After telling her my plumbing need, she kindly put me on hold, saying she would be back in a ""couple of minutes"" to get me on today's schedule.

After being on hold for 14 minutes, 38 seconds, I finally gave up and called another plumber. I'm sure these guys are good at what the do, but as a business owner myself, I can't get away with leaving people on hold indefinitely. Not good.
