Mike is the most professional, efficient, knowledgeable and competent of all plumbers so far. He owns company n was very responsible in completing job thoroughly.

He used 2 machines to settle our clogging problem in kitchen. Earlier, he identified what he should work on, based on my phone conversation the day before,, he walked past kitchen towards back door, glanced at kitchen sink, towards the clean out.

He got job done pretty well too

Mike was referred to me by a friend and has been a great help on several things that have popped up as plumbing related problems. He's very friendly and has been able to fit me in several times on fairly short notice. He explains the problem and the solution and has been both courteous and prompt. I would definitely recommend Mike.

I had a great experience working with Mike from MVS plumbing. I called Mike and left him a message on his voice mail. Mike got back to me within a few minutes and scheduled a visit as soon as he could. During the visit, Mike was very professional and honest. He gave me his two cents regarding other related issues. He reasonably quoted the repair for correcting the slope in the sewer system. I called a few days later and asked a few additional questions and Mike was very nice and tried to do his best to address my needs. I will definitely use MVS in the future since Mike is honest and honesty is very important to me when I am searching for a professional.

Called Mike after reading the reviews. We had several problems with our plumbing - old house, crumbling pipes etc. Mike fixed the first issue - straight forward and no fuss and did a great job too. Then looking at the other problems Mike gave us some sound advice regarding the resolution and an idea of the price range. This was work that Mike did not do himself so he wasn't trying to get more work. He recommended several companies. Overall the service was great, the work completed efficiently and reasonably priced (cheaper than some of the quotes I've seen for the same work on other reviews).
Mike took the time to answer my questions and also let us know that the water supply might be a problem for our dogs - as his suffered from the same problem (we're now giving them filtered water). Overall a great experience and it was great to get the person who the reviews are written about and not someone else. Would recommend to anyone and will use again in future if required.

Mike is prompt, professional, and reasonably priced. I also liked the fact that while he was fixing our clogged kitchen drain, he took the time to answer my questions and give me tips on how to avoid clogs in the future (even though this might cost him future business).

Mike is a plumbing master. Knowledgeable, friendly and very reasonably priced. Also, fast, clean, honest and thorough. This guy's the real deal. His faucet suggestion saved us a bundle and our family loves it! Great suggestions on all water & plumbing-related issues. Wish all businesses we encountered were like MVS plumbing.

The water in my bathtub was coming out of the tap with black, rubbery, tarry flecks of debris caused by chloramines (ammonia and chlorine added to our water supply, great, huh?). I had at least 8 plumbers try to diagnose and fix the issue. Finally I heard about Mike from Ryan at Decorative Plumbing. He said that Mike has seen this before and knew how to fix it.

He did in fact solve this issue, and I'm loving the clear (albeit chloramine tainted) water that now comes from the tap. He is professional, polite, knowledgable, and I highly recommend his services. I will have him back in the future for all my plumbing needs.

Mike of MVS Plumbing is in his own class of excellence - you are lucky to have stumbled on to this page and he deserves this lengthy review.

In the medical field, the mark of excellence is when one is called the doctors, doctor. Mike is the plumbers, plumber. I should more accurately state - he is the plumber used personally by someone who is directly responsible for the most elaborate and elite plumbing installations in Silicon Valley - someone who can pick from the best.

The story begins during a visit by a plumber, found on Yelp - a plumber highly rated. The immediate job was to tighten a loose kitchen faucet, which he does, but during the visit, I ask him to look at a leak, found recently, at another faucet. He checks and tells me the faucet is cracked and needs to be replaced.

After repeated attempts to get my plumber and the supply store staff to chat to discuss the crack - the owner of the company comes over to take a look to confirm the problem and authorize a warranty repair. During his visit (amazing in it's own right,) we discuss a plumbing problem he had and how his plumber solved it. He then went on to discuss the delicate nature and complexity of installing high-end fixtures and suddenly it became clear: If this plumbing company owner, a person who over his 25 years of selling to the most unforgiving silicon valley clients, over thousands of jobs is raving about one person then what better review could there be for the expertise and reputation of a person. So I blurted: ""I want Mike to come over and fix this.""

I connect with Mike a few days later, the coordination is hassle free, he greets me at the door puts on the shoe guards and immediately gets to work. He checks the faucet, looks at the water and diagnosis the issue - something he is familiar with because he understands the nuances of the water we use in the area - namely the issues related to water treated by Chloramines (the following is representative of stuff found relating to Chloramines)

""The change to chloramines may cause some rubber or synthetic rubber materials in household plumbing fixtures to degrade faster. As rubber plumbing parts wear out, consumers should replace rubber plumbing components with chloramine resistant materials such as: high quality rubber - (synthetic polymer) parts, flexible copper tubing, tubing made of corrugated stainless flex, or newer neoprene braided stainless steel.""

Mike quickly resolved a job I thought would require a new faucet with an expensive service component (removal of the pedestal from the wall) with a new piece of flexible hose in a little over ten minutes. The $700 dollar job turned into the $90 dollar job - I did mention that he took slightly over ten minutes, which according to his quote meant a full hour charge to which he said: ""I should be able to do that job in less then 10 minutes, no worries.""

As he is leaving, I mention the other work done in the house by the last plumber - the securing of the loose kitchen faucet. He looks at me, says: ""let me take a look,"" he goes under the sink, sees the problem, and describes a common contractor 'hack.'

Apparently, my kitchen faucet was installed into a wooden plank, placed there by the contractor to simplify the installation. The issue here is that over time, the bolt on the faucet digs into the wood and then: loose faucet. Mike gives the story of how he see's this all the time and that he has the custom saw to resolve the issue without affecting the granite. He then goes into a whole new mode and says: ""let me take a quick look around"" no doubt sensing the likelihood of more short cuts. He starts with the kitchen faucet.

He turn's the knob and immediately says: ""you need a new diverter and cartridge, and this is something you can get on warranty."" I ask him if he is sure and in the process of explaining I learn that the manufacturer of this fixture actually turns to him for input on design issues (remember: plumbers, plumber!)

He then asks to see my water heater to check for issues and then the rest of the fixtures, and ends his first visit ($90) by outlining his action items (to work with the plumbing supply house to get me a warranty replacement for the cartridge and diverter.)

So all of this happens, a package arrives, we coordinate, he arrives, the faucet is repaired, it is secured in a way that I've never had it, and everything is perfect. That visit took less then one hour and all that remained was this review - because if there was a reason for Yelp, it is to write this review.

Zero hassle, totally professional, sorry it took so long the get to that but there is a point to this narrative if you've read this far - someone who really knows what they are doing can find issues before they become a problem. And when they work on a problem, they can solve it in ways that insures that it doesn't resurface shortly after the fix (like the time bomb relating to the wooden plank.) In short: Use Mike!
