Two decades ago, I entered the plumbing field as a laborer. I worked my way up from laborer to apprentice, then plumber, foreman, manager, and regional manager, and now I lead this company. My passion for plumbing drove me to establish this company; it’s not just work to me. My eldest son is now in plumbing, and I eagerly await the day my three younger boys can join us. Reach out to MVP Plumbing; we promise to deliver. It’s our first year as a business, and we are eager to provide top-notch plumbing services!
I am a dedicated, above-average plumber who takes pride in my work. I take pride in being a married father of four wonderful sons!

One star is more than they deserve.

MVP Plumbing was scheduled thru Amazon to install a water softener that I had purchased thru them.
The appointment was scheduled for between 11-2. I received a call at 2 telling me the man was on his way, at 2:45 I received a call where he said he was still 30 min away, and He could not do the installation anyway because he had to get a install kit. We agreed on the following day between 10-12. At 12 I received a call and the owner (Mike) had asked the office to call me and cancel due to a emergency (he just didn't want to do the install, in my opinion)
Mike said he would give me a $50 discount if I would reschedule. I told them NO I wanted the unit installed by a trustworthy company, and I didn't feel they were trustworthy.

Michael Vargas is a true professional. We hired him to replace the shower head, faucet and all of the other hardware in our shower. We had already purchased a kit and just wanted him to install it for us. We could not do it ourselves because there was drilling and fitting involved due to the difference in type of hardware. For some reason our kit was missing two pieces that usually come with a kit. Michael ran out to grab the pieces for us at no extra charge. Because one of the pieces in our shower is not standard size, Michael had to order the piece. I paid him that day for the full price of the job and he told me he would call the next day to let me know when the missing part would arrive. Just like he said, his secretary called me the next day to let me know that the part had been ordered and that he would be able to install it next week. His level of communication and service throughout this job has been superb. I am very pleased with MVP Plumbing and will continue to use Michael for our future plumbing needs.

The resident in my rental house called my property manager to report water bubbling up from around the toilet. The property manager called Mike Vargas Plumbing to remove the clog.

The next day, Sunday, the resident again reported water bubbling up from around the toilet. The property manager called Mike Vargas Plumbing. Mr. Vargas explained he was out of town for the weekend, and added that he had pulled out some tree roots and cleared the blockage.

She next called several plumbers, before finding one that was open, Boyd Plumbing. They cleared a blockage, which was located near the main sewer line in the street. Problem solved. Sunday rates are usually higher, and Boyd's was $250.

If you want a job done in one call and want to avoid throwing away $250, I can't recommend Mike Vargas Plumbing.

P.S. Mike Vargas Plumbing also goes by MVP and MVP Custom Plumbing.

First things first. I was on a roll with home projects, so I decided to try to change a leaky bathroom faucet. Long story short, I used some incorrect parts, and ended up with a real mess. Had to shut off the water, and gave MVP a call. Mike Vargas called me within an hour, asked me in more detail what the problem was, gave me his eta, and fixed the problem, the whole time giving me a step by step of what he was doing. He informed me that he likes to talk, and that was fine with me, because I like to listen and learn. AND LEARN I DID. Keep in mind this was all on a FRIDAY MORNING AT 10:00 AM, when you generally don't get a lot of enthusiasm for a job like this. Mike Vargas was terrific, and his business card sits on the top of the deck!!!!

I accepted a quote from MVP following my submission through Amazon services for some bathroom plumbing. MVP responded quickly to this initial request with a $379 quote to install a tub. The site offered dates and time slots so I selected a date and my preferred time which was offered by MVP. With Amazon you pay upfront so there is some trust built in that the companies they work with are reputable and proven. As I write this review at the end of the day when they were supposed to perform the work no one from MVP has called me nor did they show up to perform the work. Both I and my tenant took time off work plus I called the MVP office 7 times from 7 am to confirm what I booked and paid for was on track to happen today. As you can imagine I am very disappointed and frustrated by this very poor experience. Amazon have already responded saying they will refund the $379 but nobody from MVP called me prior to today as promised in their email nor today in response to my multiple voicemails. Btw no one answers their phone as all calls seem to go to a VM where they promise a call back, not sure when that is supposed to occur, perhaps the day after they were scheduled to deliver the service!! Beware of this company at least when booked through the Amazon service.

One star is more than this company deserves. I cannot rate their abilities as they failed on two occasions to even come to my home and complete an estimate. On the first occasion when they failed to show up I called their office. The woman who answer the phone seemed unaware of the appointment and then stated that I had called and cancelled. I assured her that I had not cancelled and she conceded that perhaps she had probably spoken with someone else. I gave her the benefit of the doubt and asked her if we could re-schedule. She asked me some basic question regarding the nature of the job and responded ""Just take a photo of the site and the equipment and we'll give you an estimate. Since the job was to install a walk-in tub within a confined space I insisted that a physical examination would be the only way to get an accurate estimate. She relented and re-scheduled the appointment for the following morning. The company failed to show-up and I later learned that they had cancelled the appointment without notifying me. These people are what make it hard for other small businesses survive. They do not respect standard business practices and lack common courtesy as well.

Just one of those days when your kids use paper towels instead of toilet paper, that turned into backed up lines throughout the house. I can't thank MVP more than enough on helping us through our ""crappy"" situation. They were on time, cleaned up after themselves, very affordable, and best of all fixed our flooding mess (even after hours). Thanks Mike and staff! Highly recommend MVP for your ""crappy"" situations.

The sink in the master room's bathroom was leaking. my home warranty company, HWA, assigned MVP to fix it. Mike, the technician, came to my home. Yes, he did fix the leaking of right handle, which controls cool water. Unfortunately, the left handle was leaking which control hot water after he fixed the right one.

Mike uninstalled the left handle and told my wife (i was not at home) that he can't fix it. And he suggests to replace whole faucet. Since the cost is much higher, he needs to talk to my home warranty company whether they can cover this expense. The expense would be more than $300 dollars.

After few days, i called Mike for status. Mike told me that he can do nothing, since he saw that my wife pushed the left handle hardly and broken it. I need to buy faucet by myself, and they can help to install it. But they need to have extra charge for this service. All expense and cost need to be paid from my pocket. My wife told me that Mike didn't mention it when he was there. It is a really funny 'story'.

When I talked to my home warranty company's rep, who told me that they got same explanation from Mike. Home warranty company assigned another plumbing company to check it. The technician mentioned that someone installed the handle incorrectly, which caused leaking. The technician replaced the screw nut. And no leaking anymore.

Can't believe that a licensed technician of MVP provided this kind of service and created an interesting report in the end.

I will not recommend any friend to use this company's service.

I wanted to replace what most rational people would consider strange plumbing on the water line from the street to our house (thanks US Homes, not!) - I could turn off our landscaping water without turning off the household water, but not vice-versa. I wanted to add a valve to turn off the house if we went out of town. I got an estimate from a plumber who was doing some work for a neighbor, but it seemed high (and he did not really seem interested in doing it).

Subsequently, I sent a detailed description via email to two other plumbers. I explained that I was not in a hurry and that I was cost sensitive. One did not respond, the other MVP Plumbing, quoted me a much better price. I let them know that I wanted to move forward with it, and was contacted by Tiffany in their office.

The owner, Mike and his helper showed up on time the agreed date. They do a whole range of installations and repairs throughout the Sacramento Region, and their website says they ""have experienced technicians on-call 24/7"" and discounts for Seniors and Military.

The total cost even ended up a little less than his original estimate, and he gave me a 3 year warranty on the work (this might vary depending on what work is performed).

I was impressed by Mike's professionalism and his willingness to work with me to meet my cost and other goals. I will definitely contact him again when I have future plumbing needs.

I contacted MVP Plumbing via website ""Thumb Tack"" on behalf of an elderly disabled recipient who had a kitchen sink leak issue.

Mike Vargas responded immediately. I explained the recipient was looking for a volunteer as she has no means to pay for professional services.

Mike Vargas did not hesitate and said there will be no charge in this particular situation and will come by to see what he can do.

Kudos to Mike Vargas, owner of MVP Custom Plumbing Co., to be willing to come out and volunteer his services to somebody he doesn't even know.

Mr. Vargas was very courteous, professional and empathetic. He is an excellent example of what this world needs more of. Mr. Vargas is an asset to the community. Let's continue to support small businesses.

On behalf of myself and Recipient Virginia Thank you very much for your time and effort.
