A leaky pipe in the bathroom had me searching for plumbers in the immediate area and although there were one or two with loads of positive reviews and Juan only had one - he was the closest and I had a good feeling about him from the previous reviewer.

Turns out my hunch was right for a change.

Juan is bonded and licensed and is a one man shop; as a small business owner myself, I tend to prefer owner / operator businesses - you just get better service when it's their livelihood on the line.

Juan shows up on time, has a look at the bathroom, spends a good 15 minutes removing fixtures and sussing out what the problem is before quoting an estimate that was in my ballpark - and we agree to move forward.

When he returned from the parts shop having had to order the necessary piece that wouldn't arrive until Friday I was a little concerned about the leaking water. No worries says Juan - he rigs up a temporary drain using a soda bottle and promises to come back on Friday with the new part and finish the job.

To say I'm stoked would be an understatement.

Friendly, local, creative and professional - who could ask for anything more in a plumber?

I'll update after Friday's completion but so far - I'd certainly recommend Juan and Musso plumbing.

Juan Musso of Musso Plumbing and Maintenance is a fantastic, inexpensive plumber, and I highly recommend him!

I've hired Juan three times for plumbing issues, and my family has hired him twice as well. My friend, who managed an entire apartment building, used him for many years for the entire building's maintenance, and loved him.

He's extremely fair in his pricing, to the point where he is sometimes overly generous. If you cannot afford to replace something (even if it needs replacing), he's willing to work with you to create a temporary (but good) patch solution to fix it ""for now"" until you can afford to have him fix it properly later.

Juan is almost always available at short notice, and very good at assessing a problem quickly and properly repairing it.

And, he's licensed as a plumbing contractor (California License # 874860) and bonded with an insurance company.

When you need a plumber in the San Fernando Valley, Juan Musso is your guy. You won't find an experienced, licensed plumber in the Valley who's cheaper, more efficient, or more skilled than Juan.
