Joe and his team were very respectful, honest and did a great job. We found mold in out kitchen after removing the cabinets that had water damage. Having small children, we panicked. We had 2 other companies come out and didn't feel great about using either one. We called Murphys for one more opinion and got an estimate. I didn't feel like we were being taken advantage of and he didn't use scare tactics - and I really appreciated that. Thank you, Joe!

Had Murphy's plumbing come out today, had water coming out of the wall in the bathroom. It turned out I had a slab leak. Two other plumbers told me I needed to repipe, Murphy's came in and all I needed to do was run a new pipe from the sink to the toilet. Thank you Murphy's plumbing!! You are very honest! I really couldn't afford a repipe right now.

We have the original bathrooms and plumbing in our house from 1992. Our shower wall/ceiling were beginning to show signs of mold. Our shower tile also had a red algae-like growth appearing, even after bleach cleaning it. We were quite certain we had a shower leak and were dreading what that might entail. Murphy & Sons came out the very next day after we called, thoroughly checked everything out and assured us it was nothing more than moisture build-up and recommended using the exhaust fan more when showering. No charge! I can't recall the last time we had No Charge. Oh, sure I do. Never! Thank you, guys! We appreciate the prompt and honest service.

Thank you for saving the day. We had an urgent plumbing situation on a Saturday morning and couldn't get a hold of anyone. Finally a friend recommended Murphy & Sons. Joe answered the phone first try, and were able to come out that same day. Joe's knowledge over the phone gave us confidence and his sons did the same. Shortly after arriving, they promptly figured out the issue and provided a very reasonable price. They actually fixed everything by the evening, leaving no mess behind. If you're looking for a reliable and professional plumbing service without breaking the bank I highly recommend these guys!

So I've used these guys three or four times in the past and they were fine. But yesterday I called to have them clear my drain and they told me they would be at my place between 9 and 11 today. So 11 comes along and nobody shows up. I called and left messages multiple times and even though their machine says someone will return the call within 10 minutes, that is not true. I finally reached the owner Joe and he said he would find out where the truck was and get back to me. Ha, it's now 4:30 and I'm still waiting to hear back from him. I took off work to get this taken care of and I don't appreciate being stood up. I'm done with this outfit. Never again. They are completely unprofessional and rude. I mean who makes an appointment and then doesn't even have the decency to say they overbooked or whatever. Anyway I found a good reputable plumber so maybe this was a blessing in disguise because everybody knows what kind of a rep plumbers have. Companies like Murphy & Sons just validate the feeling that plumbers are dishonest unprofessional con men. There, I got that off my chest. Just know if you choose to work with these guys you may or may not have anybody show up.

I should have read reviews prior to using their business. I had a main plumbing line service scheduled for 9 am. 10 am comes and I call them and was told they would look into it and call me back. 10:30 am I call again and was told they forgot and would be on their way next and to wait for a call. I called again at 1 and was told they would call me back. Then I called a dozen times starting at 2 pm with no responses.
Run from this business as fast as you can. It sounds like I am not the first to experience it, but they have zero accountability and zero communication. I can't speak to their work, but trust me it's not worth the hassle. Please use other businesses who are deserving. 0 starts if I could give it.

Murphy & Sons was called by my tenant to address a leak behind the wall, they responded quickly and repaired the leak. The plumber told me he had to replace several copper lines with PEX, even though only one line was leaking. I'm not a plumber, so I have to take his word for that. The reason for the negative review is the multiple, harassing follow up calls demanding payment by credit card immediately. I asked for an itemized bill to understand the charges. They sent it 3 days later. On the 5th day, I received 7 calls in 10 minutes. On the 6th day, 9 calls in 10 minutes. There is no way I'm giving my credit card information over the phone to someone who runs their business like this. The check is in the mail

LACK OF COMMUNICATION, INFLATED PRICING, QUESTIONABLE BUSINESS PRACTICES
Seven days ago we had a water heater issue. My wife called this company for a look at the issue. Upon a call with the owner I was informed of all sorts of mumble jumble that didn't make any sense. I had to ask for clarity and a clear explanation of what's wrong. The mumble jumble felt like an attempt and opportunity to exaggerate the problem. We nailed it down and said company commenced work.
The owner asked for payment and was very demanding. I paid that same day that evening. One week later I still have no receipt. After multiple text messages to owner and no response, a call was made. He gave his word a receipt will be sent. Still nothing. One week has gone by. Services have been performed, payment tendered and no receipt.
Still questioning work performed. Yet to receive an itemization and a certificate of completion.
BUYER BEWARE!!!
