This is the most rip off business I have ever been associated with in my 66 years on this planet. He is lazy, and he lies. He purposely made excuses to make 5 trips out so he could charge. He is too lazy to dig a hole to fix a leak, we dug it and he came back and said we need to dig 8 inches more. we dug 10 inches more and he came back and said to dig more, This went on 4 times. Total bullshit. His total time working was maybe 30 minutes and he glued 4 elbows and an 8 inch piece of pipe and billed us $850. I ask him to at least fill back in the hole and he said no. Lazy ass. When I had another plumber come out to do a different job I told him about what happened, and he said ""let me guess.....Murphys plumbing"" He said the owner was famous for ripping people off. I would never ever use this rip off business ever again

I need to amend my previous review! He came back out and fixed the shower and only charged a very minimal and reasonable amount. It was done the way we had initially wanted it to be, and is working well. I think we will probably call him again if we have any other plumbing issues.

I have used Murphy's Plumbing for almost 15 years and wouldn't call anyone else.
Mike is professional, friendly and HONEST!
He has helped with the many issues of an aging home and done so with grace and dignity, which is hard to do in some messy situations.

Would definitely not recommend. Charged way to much for what he did 250 bucks for less than 30 minutes of work and no parts. His excuse was that he told my wife before he started, but he only fixed half of what she asked for. When I asked him how he could justify it he just gave me the deer in the headlights look. Don't have any idea how this jerk stays in business. A real embarresment to the rest of the good hardworking Irish folks out there.

My plumber reset a toilet, install new kitchen sink faucet, a kids faucets, master faucets, and two shower faucets. I paid $520.00. He is retired now. My widow mom that is 77 had a new dishwasher and kitchen sink faucet that she purchased and needed to be installed. We call Murphy's Plumbing and he spent 1.5 hours to install the dishwasher and faucet sink and he charged my mom $490.00. SO DISAPPOINTED! That's taking advantage of a 77 widow lady!!!!!

Bad attitude . Charged trip charge twice, no senior discount as he advertise, short temper, can not explain any break down on the bill. But,first, he said he had to order parts.. We went to local plumbing store purchased some.
He had direction how to get here but came to our house to get more instruction, only few hundred feet to the place, our rental on property I can even see the storage from our house. When he arrived, my husband was working in the storage and when he looked up! The plummer was backing out. Later he said there are medicinal plants, just 12plants that scared him!
He was upset and turned around went home! It is legal here. ( tenant's)I. said he called here... .? He came back in two hours later and charged twice on trip charge. Over 200.00 No itemized bill and asked for but they do not itemize just one bill even though, we supplied most expensive part.
Less than 21/2 hrs, bill was 590.00 ... And we paid over 100. On parts. He could come my house and asked instead of getting angry.

Murphy plumbing has been my plumber for well over 10 years. I have used them at the two senior buildings that I was manager of and they were always prompt and on time and their service and work was impeccable. both at my work and at my home they get to the situation and problems as quickly as possible and I have had great success with them. I would recommend them to anyone that needs a great plumber. Wonderful family owned business.

Just had a horrible experience with this company. First, they were at our house for about 20 minutes and it cost $80! Then when we continued to have problems with our equipment, they were unwilling to work with us- even though our equipment was under warranty. The secretary argued with us about the serial number, the manufacture date, wouldn't accept that it was malfunctioning, and just talked over me (wouldn't listen at all). She wouldn't even let me talk to the local dealer without being on a 3 way call. When I figured out who the local dealer was, she 'warned' me not to call him- that we had to deal with them. We finally had to contact the regional distributor to get our problem solved.
We have used these guys in the past with no problem. But we will never deal with them again after this- totally NOT worth it!

It's Actually My Fault For Not Securing A Second Bid For Our Emergency. Even Though These Folks Are Skilled...They Are Very High Priced ( At Least For The Minor Work That Was Done For Us) And I Recommend Getting A ""Second Opinion"" Before Using This Company. A Word To The Wise!
