Called in with a non-emergency broken outdoor pipe. Sent van quickly. He told me he needed to turn off water to see problem. Next thing I know, he tells me it is fixed and gives me a bill for $900! I was shocked. He was there less than 2.5 hours. The office staff reduced it to $675 when I complained, but that is still outrageous for what was done. With NO estimate provided.

We had a gas leak and the propane had to be turned off and we had to get a plumber. This was 3 days before Christmas. I used the contact page and received a reply the same day. I had plumbers out the next day, all day, replacing gas lines under the house. They were nice, they worked hard, in single digit temps. The fee was lower than expected. I will use the again.

I have used Murley Plumbing for both my business and my home. They have always provided professional service with great response time. They replaced a hot water heater in my home and operated in a timely manner with no mess. I have used them numerous times for my business, both inside and out of my shop. I can always count on them to take care of my needs. I was initially referred to them by another business owner in McKinney who had use their services for many years, and were very pleased.

I had a worst experience that the person who wrote the review above . I was talked down to totally . When I asked a question to Mr. Murley about the job . He became very angry . That was my tip off . He gave me a huge estimate bill in writing.after talking down to me in front of my wife . Became ever more hostile Then pointed out where it states in his estimate. Is not an estimate could cost even more .Mr. Murley then asked how I planned on paying and whether I had the money. . His estimate was 7,500.00 I politely said thank you . He left mad .. . Had Allred plumbing complete the same job for 975.00 .

This company does not seem to know what they are doing, and has an outrageous hourly rate. We had a leak in one of the pipes and called Murley Plumbing. Murley came out to our house to look at the pipe. The plumber was unable to figure out what the problem was, and was not sure how to repair the pipe. Without knowing what the problem is, he obviously would not know how long it would take to fix it. He said it may take anywhere from 4 to 8 hours to fix whatever is causing the leak, at $202 per hour. It was hard to believe that a company specializing in repairing pipes would be this unsure and unable to give an accurate description of the problem and plan to fix it. With such a large, unfocused range in the estimate, we denied Murley to continue working on our problem because there was no guarantee he would be able to fix it in a reasonable time for a reasonable cost.

We then got another company who was able to identify the problem and fix the problem in 4 hours for a total $250 ($63 per hour). Given the experience we had with the other company, we realized how much of a rip-off Murley Plumbers are, and their lack of experience problem solving to identify what the problem was. Their company motto of "A company committed to complete customer satisfaction" seemed to be completely off the mark in our experience.
