After 20+ years I am completely done with Mullen Plumbing. Will never call them again. In April 2024, my outside water line was leaking and needed replacement. I called Mullen Plumbing for an estimate. The Mullen estimator arrived and immediately started telling me his medical history. For 35 minutes he rambled on about his heart attack , doctors and hospital horror stories.
As I was attempting to conduct business, he was constantly spitting tobacco at my feet. He finally gave me. $4,0000 estimate for the job. Other ""licensed "" contractors had given me $2500 estimates.
Clearly, an over inflated price because of the neighborhood I live in.
This man was completely unprofessional and wasted my time.
There are many other plumber options available, and Mullins prices have become too high

I had Mullen fix a tub drain leak years ago, as they were the only company to correctly diagnose it, so I felt they could be trusted to do good work. Last month my 80+ year old galvanized lines began to fail, so I had Mullen replace them. Although the work was satisfactory ( and expensive), they had to knock holes in my plaster walls, and left all the debris behind, not bothering to sweep up any of it. To make matters worse, they asked if I had a ladder they could borrow. I loaned them a short platform ladder which I used in my kitchen to reach things up high. At the completion of the job, they packed up my ladder and took it with them. I'd like to have some additional work done, but I'm reluctant to use them, as I no longer trust them.

Be careful with this company. They charged me the usual diagnostic fee plus an ""out of service area fee"" and told me they could fix my system for $7,200. I asked how I could get it down, and they removed the installation of a clean out and then wanted $5,600. They said their proposed project was necessary or my system would never work. I did not have the money but I was able to find another company willing to do the work for $900. The other company charged me about $50 for the clean out. Mullins tried to heavy sell me on the higher amount saying they needed at least four guys to do the job. I paid the diagnostic fee in good faith. I won't use them again.

DO NOT DESERVE any STARS

Was a no show !!!! Had an appointment set up ,they gave us an estimated time they'd be at our house and NOTHING!!!! Not even a curtesey call to say they weren't going to be able to make it!!!!!
We as a potential customer shouldn't have been treated this way !!!!
NOT IMPRESSED AT ALL!!!!!

Worst plumbing company in the area, due yourself a favor and call Roto Rooter. They came out to the house and snaked a sewer pipe and replaced a toilet flange, $1200 ridiculous. Not less than 12 hours later called back because water was backing up, well we don't guarantee clearing a line. And the don't, another $450, we agreed to $150 after disputed with my Credit Card Co., to this day no refund and it has been well over a month.

Update to my last fiasco. They returned last week and are charging me only parts to fix the issue. I'm still waiting, but they should be here early next week.

They didn't finish the job then wanted thousands more dollars to finish it and that was two months later. They didn't do what they agreed to do in the original estimate . I then got the job done for 25% of what they quoted. Also their estimate just had a total, not broken done into materials , labor, etc.
Mullen is way too expensive and unreliable. Go to ANYONE else to get your plumbing done.

We had a pipe burst due to the cold early on the morning of Christmas Eve. After shutting off the water, we called Mullen first thing in the morning. We had plumbers there by 10:00 a.m. and they performed a temporary fix to allow us to turn the water back on for the Christmas holiday. There were over 600 calls related to burst pipes due to the 2 degree weather. They recently returned to complete the repair and repair the hole in the ceiling. We are very pleased with the result and will continue to make Mullen our plumbing and HVAC choice.

They sent a technician to my home who was completely unprofessional. He decides to use my restroom and not flush behind himself like an adult man should. Disgusting!
