They do a great job. Muegge keeps my house up and running! Love using a community focused company in the heart of Hancock County.
We called when our water heater broke. They said they could be out that same afternoon, we were impressed. They told us they would call when they were on their way. So went to the back yard to wait for their call. Next thing we knew, the owner of our house called said they came and left. ? when we called the company they did not apologize but was very matter a fact, even after reminding them that they were to call us, the ones who live here, before they came. This happened on a Thursday, they would not come back till the following Monday, which was ridiculous to us when it was not our fault but theirs for not giving us a heads up. They didn't seem to mind one bit that we said we would call another company, we called Roto-Rooter they were at our house within an hour. Says a lot about this company and how much they care about their customers.
We have had Muegge come out for the last few years and have always been pleased with their service and expertise. I had them re-run a completely new sump pump discharge line out of our house, and replace a outside hose spicket. Both were done very well and it cost less than I expected. I'm sure there are some plumbers in town that will be cheaper, but I know I can count on Maggie and if something isn't right I know they will take care of it
I called this company out to inspect a leaking toilet. I gave the receptionist my phone number three times. The plumber did not show up on the scheduled date. I called the next day and was rudely told that he tried to call three times and I never answered. I asked the receptionist to read back my phone number and informed her that they had an incorrect number.
She sent a plumber to come out the same day. He came in and diagnosed the problem as a cracked bolt connecting the tank to the bowl. He told me that my toilet was very old and he may not be able to get parts. I informed him that I would like to see if it could be repaired. He was in my house for no more than 5 minutes.
After he left, I didn't hear anything for a week. So, I called another company who came out the same day. The plumber also diagnosed the same cracked bolt. He walked out to his truck, got two bolts and two gaskets and made the repair. The entire inspection and repair took about 15 minutes.
Another week goes by and I get a bill in the mail from Muegge for $65.00 for a service call. I have no problem being billed for them to come out and paid the bill in full with no complaint. What has made me really angry is a notation on the bill that they called me to advise that I needed a whole new toilet. They still had the wrong phone number listed. And I clearly did not need a new toilet. They tried to get me to buy a new toilet to the tune of $450 when $15 worth of parts was all it took to fix the leak.
Be wary and get a second opinion if you ever call this company.
Dave M.Rob with Muegge replaced a squeaking draft inducer and during the inspection, found a ""bad system gas valve"" (Ed Robs was 2nd tech). 1st tech did a great job of diagnosing & ordering the inducer and Amanda at the main office did a superior job with scheduling and communication!

Fred S.I have had a couple bad experiences with Muegge. They came to fix our furnace and charged us way more than their estimate. It started having issues shortly after they worked on it. They charged us for parts that weren't broken or bad as they just through expensive new arts at it to see what would work. When they came back they said I'd need a new $8,000 furnace. I called around and found a guy who came and looked at it and sure enough got it fixed and it has been running smoothly for a year now. I won't be calling Muegge because just like most places they just want to sell you a new expensive unit.
Terrible service. I had water pipes burst in a bathroom wall, I could tell where the leak was coming from. A tech came out, first thing said he needed to install a shut off valve on the hot water heater, I had no problem with that. was told he had to return to the shop to get one, and of course I had to pay for the time it took him to go get it. It was installed, as it ended up it didnt help me have any water. he stated he would have to come back monday, with another tech as he felt the leak was under the tub, and it needed to be taken out He didnt bother to check where i told him the leak was coming from. He said it almost five, the office would call me on monday. So I was left without water after paying 178.00. Problem fixed in 30 minutes by a different company.
Ron D.These guys are Top Notch. Our gas heater in our basement had a VERY outdated control valve, and they couldn't find one to replace it with, so I thought I was done at that point. I spoke with Dana who was very respectful and caring and she tried hard to find this part of me, unfortunately she couldn't find it, but I found it a couple days later and asked if they could replace it for me. She, without hesitation said it would be no problem, I had it schedule a week out, but then called her on a Friday and asked if they could possibly squeeze me in on short notice. Amy stepped up and made it happen. The gentleman came out and knocked it out for me. Can't remember his name but he was very good and was in and out, with top notch installation. This company takes care of their customers, I wish there was a 100 star rating because they would get 100!!!!! Thank you so much for your professional and courtesy.

I purchase a brand new outside AC unit from here, which included new line sets and disconnect. By day two the line sets was freezing up and house not cooling. Remember, everything is brand new!! Technician came back on the third day to fix. He got it working again after charging, fixing, taping..all kinds of things. My question is why weren't these things done the first time??!! So now I think all is well...nope. two weeks later line sets are freezing again and house not cooling. This time I went to their office and demanded someone fix it again. Sent someone out again and turns out there was a leak in the line set that he had to weld to fix....Remember, this is a brand new line set! The owner was supposed to call me to discuss but has not. I'm hoping it's finally fixed but not optimistic! Highly recommend going somewhere else!
I had service did on my furnace today. He had to come out 3 times,but he made it right. Just wanted you to know my furnace is working great & I love the new thermostat. The guy who came out was so nice & courteous, he even took the time to help me fill my water conditioner with salt (I'm old & was having trouble lifting the bags). Don't know his name but if I need to call for service again, It will be with Muegge . Thank you so much & thank him for me. Gin Goode
