First, I am recovering from two strokes, and I don't comprehend as quickly as I did prior. He did not care [I can't remember his name]. I believe he took advantage of my not using services for jobs and knowing how the procedure works. I would have tried to fix things if I were physically able.
Second, they never told me I can't pay by check. What businesses don't accept checks? I should have checked this beforehand. I see I'm not the only person with issues dealing with this company.

He only fixed part of the plumbing. Another leak started after his ""repair"", but he wouldn't fix it.

They accepted some cash and the balance by check. He wouldn't give me a direct number to call and complain, as my cell would not connect to the number I had. Don't deal with this company.

Home Depot should be ashamed to have these Mikes as people/a company they recommend.

Total SCAM Artists!!! I posted a review on google this morning and somehow the company managed to delete it. The company owner, Mike posts his own reviews on google. The BBB has two complaints on MTCH under same address and phone number as Montco Rooter. I am a single Mom on a fixed income and this company TOTALLY TOOK ADVANTAGE OF ME. Searched Angie's list and yelp and plenty of negative reviews on them. Don't believe a word they say, plenty of other plumbers out there. When the technician finished the 20 minutes of ""work"" he demanded same day payment of $480 to replace one hose and 6 inches of pipe in 20 minutes and next day I had no hot water. HE ASKED ME IF I WAS MARRIED, HAD A BOYFRIEND, CHILDREN OR IF MY BROTHER LIVED NEARBY. He was so arrogant and a complete con man that took advantage of a single woman. I wish I could give ZERO STARS! Do your research. Don't make my mistake.

I called Montco Rooter on Monday, 1/6/20 whom also has the same address and phone number as MTCH plumbing Service Experts because I had low or no water pressure throughout the house. This company has also done plumbing service out of same address and phone number as Mr. Rooter Plumbing.

The copy of my invoice states MTCH Plumbing which I have record of and was sent to me via a link to my phone. Today, the owner updated the link and changed the invoice to reflect the company name Montco Rooter. These people are unethical, dishonest and have no empathy. Don't do business with them.

Mike answered my call and said that Louis the plumber would be there by 2:00. I asked the price to fix a leak and he said he doesn't know prices and that the plumber would tell me after diagnosis and that it's a $49 service fee which is waived if they do the job. He came at 2:00 and glanced at my new hot water heater which was installed two days prior and told me it was totally defected without even trying to fix it. I had the manual open with alert codes ready for him but he refused to read it or listen to me.

He told me I need a new hot water heater and to return it. I told him that I just want him to fix the problem. He said it would cost me $800 to re-install the new one and that I must pay a $99 membership fee to lock in that amazing price. He took almost one hour to do a hard sales tactic on the installation and called his boss, Mike a few times. What kind of a professional service company asks a woman if she's WAS MARRIED, HAS A BOYFRIEND, CHILDREN OR IF HER BROTHER LIVES NEARBY??? I felt so uncomfortable after that. I told him I can't return my new tank because it's under warranty and that I will get it fixed through the manufacturer.

He then miraculously said ""well there's more than one way to skin a cat"" and he detached an automatic shutoff switch and showed me that the hot water hose was leaking. He didn't show me that before and do you know why? Because he wanted me to pay $800 plus $99 membership for amazing prices, plus parts to re-install a new one water heater that had nothing wrong with it. When he realized I wouldn't do that he said if I pay the $99 membership fee he will give me an amazing price of $350 to fix my leak. He said it was an emergency and that if he leaves without doing the work my basement will flood and he will have to charge me $150 for the time he spent there (which was an hour of high pressure, intimidating sales tactics)!!!

I wanted him out of my house as soon as possible and I was uncomfortable with him in my home and afraid my basement would flood so I agreed to the price of $480 to replace one small hose and 6 inches of pipe which took him 20 minutes and he had me sign an iPad mini. The water turned back on but it still didn't get up to temperature. He said it takes time to heat up. The next day I only had cold water!!!

He made me fill out a review sheet on him and stood over me as I filled it out. He reviewed it and commented on the scores I gave him and told me to change the scores. I crossed them out and changed them to higher scores in order to keep him calm so he would leave. He had me pay him in full on the spot and I did via credit card. He also said the F word in front of my son when he got home from school. He was at my house for an hour and 20 min and did work for 20 min and charged me $480 and only 30 in parts.

The next day I had no hot water. I called the manufacturer (should have done that in first place) and he walked me through how to fix it in 20 minutes. Everything works now and I have hot water.

Search in YouTube for ""plumber scams"" and you will see news reports on a similar scam that happened to me. I called MTCH the next day to let them know my concerns and Mike the so-called manager wouldn't even give me their plumbing license number. He said they charged me a flat rate for their service.

I was out of town and needed a plumber for my elderly mother-in-law's home because she had a water leak in the middle of the night. The service tech showed up on Thursday morning and was there for 2 hours and charged her over $1000 for $62 in parts. The repair was VERY SIMPLE and I feel they duped her (overcharged her) into signing for the repair without full explanation of the scope and simple nature of the repair.
WE WILL NEVER USE THEM AGAIN.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! BIG RIP OFF!!
They came out to unclog my sewer line, made us pay first, did not unclog it at all, came back the next day, jettied the line, did not clear the clog at all, charged me again, told me that it would be ok, even though they couldn't get the jetty through, the next day it backed up again in the basement! I called them again, they refused to call back! Took me for $1,800.00! I called another plumber ad got the job done for another $1,200.00! Very UNPROFESSIONAL! Guys smelled like alcohol!

We have sewer smell problem for quite a long time. One guy from this company came, did not solve any problem, only made my bathroom literally SHIT everywhere --On the toilet, wall, and on the floor. We called again, then Mike came, still did NOT solve problem. But he refuses to return me any of $600 we paid. He changed our purpose to call him for something else. We sent him in writing by an email to restate our purpose, he said he didn't receive it, which I believe is a lie, and also refused to give me another email to send to him again. He lied about our purpose to call him to solve the smell problem in the first place. I wish to give him negative points if I could.

Just got off the phone with Mike the owner of MTCH Plumbing Services. I had previously written a poor review for a service they performed at my home about a month ago. Couple of things came out of this call.

1. I called the # on the Mr. Rooter website and MTCH was dispatched. Now Mike is telling me that on the date of the dispatch they had already separated from Mr. Rooter. So he took the call although he knew he was not at the time actually affiliated with the brand.

2. He asked that I remove my previous poor review, in return he'd refund the $275 he charged me for the job that was poorly done.

In my opinion this company has a serious integrity issue. Avoid doing business with them.

DO NOT USE THEM!!! Big rip off! Bought a Water Boss from Home Depot for $466 and they sent these guys. They arrived stayed for a half hour and left for 2.25 hours to get parts and returned at 11:00. Turned off water and didn't even warn us first. They stayed for about 4 hours and set it up. Paid them the $1296 for installation and then they added $483.87 to the price for parts. That is more than the price of the water softener. Left installation site a total mess. In 2016 got a water softener installed from Lowe's for $1100 total with installation. By the way water softener did not work, was not set up correctly and they left before it was determined that it did not work!

We live in Hellertown and purchased a home in Perkasie. With this goes an inspection and they happened to note the sump pump leaking. We were contacted by MTCH after our web search from the various sites (HomeYou, I believe). Mike called the next day and we set up the appointment. He arrived on time and greeted us in a professional manner. After showing him the repair needed he gave us a written estimate. His work was completed in a timely, neat, and professional manner. Works like new. Give them a call, you won't go wrong. Thanks Mike.
