NEVER USE MR. WATERHEATER! I called to help with my Rheem water heater that was installed less than 6 years ago (they did not install) but I called them because they provide Rheem warranty service. When I called they said they charge an $85 service charge. Then $45 per 1/2hr after the 1st half hour. The plumbers showed spent 5 minutes messing with the controller and said it needs a new controller. They called Rheem, ordered the part, this took 20 minutes tops. Next thing he said I owe him $130. I said it should be $85 as it was less than 1/2 hr. He said no it is $85 to walk in the door plus $45 per 1/2 hr. He texted his boss but boss didn't respond right away, so the plumber said just pay me $85. Next thing I know I get a call from his boss, very forcefully said you refused to pay $130. I told him what was explained over the phone to me when scheduling. He ended the conversation with ""Don't Ever Call Us Again"". Don't worry, Mr Waterheater I won't ever call you for any of my 19 units I own, nor provide your information to any of my clients (remember I'm a real estate agent). You have burned this bridge over $45.

A bird found its way into my hot water tank flu and I can tell you it was smelly. Mr. Waterheater arrived as promised and had the whole mess apart, cleaned and the waterheater humming to perfection in a matter of minutes. There was no evidence of anything a fowl when they departed.
I will recommend this company to everyone I know. Reasonably priced and easy to work with.

Our hot water heater began leaking on a Saturday night during covid 19. We called around 11pm and a team was there to replace it the next morning at 10am. We felt very safe! They called and came through our garage , wore masks and gloves and we simply left our credit card. They called us via cell phone while we stayed in another floor of our home. They explained what was wrong and within the hour replaced the entire heater and were gone no contact. Good pricing for a weekend call and total replacement. Highly recommend

I decided to finally get some water heater repairs done last week and reached out to Mr Waterheater after seeing some of their ads. I had low expectations based on recent experiences with some area plumbers, but I was blown away by how professional, prompt, AND affordable Mr Waterheater was. I called to inquire about services and was offered an appointment that same day. The quote I was given on the call ended up being completely accurate, and I paid towards the lower end of what they had quoted. The technicians were polite and completed the work quickly and efficiently. I will absolutely call Mr Waterheater again if I need future work.

This water heater is under warranty for tank and parts, Once the technician arrives Please have them call 800-432-8373. If the unit is non repairable with parts the tank can be returned to the local Home Depot for a warranty replacement.

Thank you,

Laura Thompson

Mr Water Heater replaced the tank before I received your email, they also took the tank with them. I called the #s in this email and the person I talked to said the company needs the tank back. That's fine and all, they still have the tank. If I get the tank and take it back to Home Depot will I get reimburse for the tank I bought from Mr Water or a partial one? If not Im out almost 2 grand, $1200 for the first tank that Roto Rooter put in. Plus I found out on 6/26/2019 when they put it in on 5/2016 the labor warranty expired the month before 4/2016, so how good was the tank they gave me to begin with!? then $680 for the second tank Mr Water put in on 6/2019 even tho the first tank was under warranty but at that time I did not know this. Also according to the Rooter tech I talked to he informed me that my Rheem warranty was for parts only, not a tank, then quoted another $1200 to replace that tank. It was Mr Water that looked up the warranty for me and told me about the out of date labor warranty, so what I want to know did he know the tank itself was still under warranty? Does any of these business's know what they are doing? Or maybe they just like taking advantage of people. The person I talked to from Rheem said that he understood why I was upset, because the process Rheem has set up for warranties and returns is not clear, he also said there is no direction on the tanks on how to proceed when something happens to a tank, just a phone number. I am a single mother of 3 working part time trying to stay above water.

They are the typical contractor who will come out and begin to nickel and dime you with little things that you have to do, or sign off for them not to do it, because they really shouldn't do the job with out replacing everything. And, get a quote in writing. They will tell you one price over the phone and then charge you something else after the work is done.

I will NEVER USE THEM AGAIN! Poor business and customer relations.

My waterheater burst and flooded my basement. I removed water with a shop vac and was forced to shut the main water line off in my house. I called Mr. Waterheater at 11:20am and by 12:50pm the two techs had the new waterheater installed and removed the old damaged one. The techs (Eric and Rick) were polite, professional, and efficient. I would definitely recommend their service. Price charged was the same as I was quoted over the phone.

I just had a waterheater installed today for total cost of $810.00. 30 minutes after leaving the valve that they used to shut off the water in the house is leaking. After 3 phone calls a guy named Bob shows up with teflon tape to fix it in his words ""for now"". I had told the office in my previous calls that I needed to someone to fix it and they assured me he had tools in his car since he was not driving a company truck. I could have used flex seal my self. I called the office to tell them that now since I have to get a plumber to fix what they broke because it was not leaking before they came that I felt I should stop payment on the check until I found out what a plumber would cost. The guy on the phone was just a piece of work. Making ridiculous analogies. Whining that it wasn't fair. I understand that you have to turn off the water to install a water heater but that doesn't mean that if you break something in the process you can just blow off that responsibility. Accidents happen but to just stick a customer with an extrax expense is what is not fair. DO NOT ever use this company. I can certainly guarantee I won't.
