We had Mr. Unger do a kitchen remodel for us. He's straight forward, keeps you updated and low maintenance. He focuses on kitchens and bathrooms for efficiency proposes and as a result can do the work for a very reasonable price. With many contractors, I feel I need to keep a watchful eye but with Unger it wasn't an issue. They knew when to ask the right questions.

We have recently rented our home, which we lived in for 22 years. To make sure we were doing everything right, we had the house inspected to help us identify any code violations or safety issues that we needed to resolve BEFORE renting it.

Unfortunately, the inspector missed some things. Months after the inspection and AFTER we had a tenant moved in, we had a clothes dryer repairman tell us that our gas dryer could not be installed in a windowless bathroom.

Not knowing if this was true or false, we called in Dmitriy to educate us. He was great. He helped translate the various code requirements into words and actions we could understand. He helped me understand that were overlapping issues related to contradictory bathroom and laundry room air ventilation requirements.

The net result is that we will need to convert the dryer from gas, which is not allowed in a bathroom, to electric. This is terrible since we just spent nearly $1,000 updating the laundry room and buying a brand new gas dryer. Had the inspector caught this, we would have simply installed an electric dryer 3 months ago.

We had our kitchen remodeled with Mr. Unger from July-August 2019. The process was smooth and Dmitriy helps you along the way providing you with next steps to complete the project. His employees: Marcus, Nikolas and Anatoli were all amazing. Marcus did a wonderful job on demolition and replacing our electrical system. Nikolas and Anatoli then installed everything for our new kitchen. These guys are masters at what they do and they will complete the tasks requested of them expertly. I have no reservations about recommending Mr. Unger and his construction company to anyone looking to remodel a kitchen. I am very satisfied with their work.

We had some other projects going on at the same time like popcorn ceiling removal and patio door replacement while Mr. Unger and his crew were remodeling and they were extremely accommodating and worked around these other projects. Everything worked out and our kitchen looks amazing!

From the very start of our conversations, he was always honest and clear with what could be done, how long the project would take and what the requirements were in terms of passing code/inspection. After several failed attempts with previous contractors for kitchen remodeling . I did give Mr. Unger a try before giving up on searching contractors on yelp.Dmitry and his team were very professional. They gave me start date as last week of november and kept the promise. Dmitry and his team explained every task in detail on what is the next task. My husband and I especially had amazing experience throughout kitchen remodeling and walk through each day tasks with Margus and George. We ended up extending contracts to do lights for entire house. It only took 5 weeks to complete entire project.

At the end of the project we had issue with microwave and oven unit after contract was complete right before Christmas. I did contacted Margus to help me with replacing new appliance... he took time out from his family time came by and finish installation and helped to bake cookies for Christmas.

I would highly recommend Dmitry and his team ( Margus and George) for any kitchen remodeling work. I would definitely give him first preference for any future contracts at our house.

As new homeowners taking on our first remodel, we were a little nervous about the whole process. Following recommendations we got a few different quotes for a kitchen remodel, and frankly the cost estimates easily ranged by two orders of magnitude!

We are EXTREMELY happy that we went with Mr. Unger and his team. He explained the entire process start to finish for us on our first walk through, including accurate estimates for both time and cost that he stuck to without fail. All of the work was done above board with permits and full time employees rather than subcontractors. He let us make all the design and material decisions that we wanted to, but also had outstanding recommendations based on all his experience whenever we got that deer-in-the-headlights, i've-never-thought-about-tile-before look.

We are happy to be enjoying a gorgeous remodeled kitchen that was done on time, in budget, and hasn't had any issues for the last six months. When the temperatures dropped about five months after all the work was finished and it looked like an external pipe had slipped a bit, he was able to come out on a single day's notice and reinforce the work. That quick turnaround for an already completed job was really incredible.

Mr. Unger is professional and knows a lot about building code. All work was permitted, completed on schedule and within budget. We went shopping at Lowe's together to pick out what I wanted and I got guidance on what materials I needed.

The tile work is perfectly straight and the team completed everything perfectly with great attention to detail. Everyone was very friendly and there was good communication about what was being done.

I was impressed by how thorough the job was. My entire bathroom was ripped out and all new drywall and flooring replaced. I would choose Mr. Unger again for future projects.

I wholeheartedly recommend Mr. Unger for bathroom remodels, these guys definitely know their stuff. When it was time to install frameless shower, several estimators told me they rarely see completely straight walls, usually it's done at an angle. The truth is our walls are slightly crooked/tilted like most walls out there, but Nikolai did such an exceptional and thorough job with the tile, he essentially straightened it out. Karen too was wonderful with the tile work (his specialty), but he also went above and beyond with many little projects that were outside of his scope of work, like polishing countertops damaged by another contractor.

The price was very reasonable, on the lower end of the estimates I've collected, but here's what impressed me the most: there were no change orders/unexpected charges for little surprises along the way, even though it certainly added more time to the project to fix those.

Yes, Dmitriy does talk a lot (he's very passionate about what he does), but he never talked over me like another reviewer suggested. He was very easy to get a hold of even on weekends and would return calls and texts within hours and sometimes even minutes. I appreciated that he followed up to check if we were happy with their work a few weeks later.
