Mr Tankless was fast and efficient servicing my tankless water heaters.
We did run into a small hiccup along the way, but they took care of ASAP and went above and beyond to make it right. That is truly the mark of a good business is to know if there is a mistake and to correct it ASAP!
I highly recommend them and will be using then again to service my units each year.
My experience was a mixed bag.
Did he do the job? Absolutely.
Did he do what he said he was going to do? Mostly.
Was it worth the price? Yes.
For my installation I hoped to take advantage of rebates issued by the state. This required a qualified installation and inspection and he said he would take care of everything and I would get the rebate.
Didn't happen. My installation never got inspected, I missed out on the rebate AND he left the old water heater in my attic. When questioned why he said, "cuz I'm tired." WTH? A year later, it's still there.
The installed looks good. It works as expected but like most things, shine some light on it and the blemishes are revealed. I won't ding him on slow-response or unprofessionalism because he's actually head and shoulders above the competition, but that bar is REALLY low compared to other big cities.
For example, I was quoted, by two other companies, a fee for changing pipes because of diameter issues, roofing work and removal of the old unit. I can read and my pipes are labeled (as are yours) and the state requirements are posted so I knew the other quote was inaccurate. When Mr. Tankless came out, (the ONLY plumber to actually come on site for an inspection before a quote) his quote matched the states requirements, i.e. NO replacing pipes, proper ventilation with existing roofing, etc.
Yes, a mixed bag.
Dang! Bob is the best!
I called this morning with hot water circulating pump not working. Most others responded that they don't do that sort of work. But Bob called and we discussed various times to visit. About an hour later, he called back saying they were free and could they come now? Sure!
Five minutes later, I met them out front. They check the electrical power, which was OK. But pump not running. So maybe jammed with a little calcium flake, or something. A few taps on the pump and we were back in business! Total call time, 5 - 10 minutes at most.
Bob did not charge me for the call!! He just asked that I take his card and remember them the next time I need some plumbing work. You bet I will.
I can't guarantee you won't be charged for your call, but I'm pretty sure you'll be treated fairly!
Thanks guys!
Jacob R.Talked to Bob about my situation which required ordering parts. He was able to quickly order them under 12 hours and work on my water heater the very next morning.
Bob and his right hand guy did a super fast job and gave us some great advice on how to check our water heater (ours is a bit old) and gave us an idea of what a tankless water heater would look like in the future. The price was very reasonable. I was very impressed that he showed up early about 15 minutes. He also knocked out the work in about less than half an hour. I would totally recommend him to anyone in the area.
Jeanne R.Our tankless was making a horrible noise. We called Mr. Tankless. Mr. Lemon showed up on time and knew exactly what was wrong. Although he wasn't inexpensive, he was very knowledgeable and worked fast. We'll definitely call him again if needed.
David M.Wow. I called Mr. Tankless on Wednesday and my tankless water heater was replaced by Thursday morning. He even replaced a breaker that was bad.
I saw his truck on the road last week for the first time. Used him this week and I'm quite pleased.
I will call him again if the need arises.
Aaron T.I have to admit Bob is a very decent guy. He charges a fair rate for his services. At first, the installation of my new tankless water heater went very well. The problem was the months and months that went by with Bob fighting with the Austin city inspection over an undersized gas line. Bob eventually lost the battle and installed that new gas line to service the tankless water heater. The problem was he did not do a pressure test on it or check for leaks, and he left my home with this new gas line turned on. According to Texas Gas technician who found the leak and the city inspection, this was the most serious violation they had ever seen. For 3 days gas filled my attic directly above where my infant daughter, wife, and I sleep. Bob had forgotten to tighten a nut on a flex hose connected to the water heater. Think about that. He installed and turned on a gas line without checking for leaks. No words for how lucky my family is to be here.
Called Mr Tankless to fix tankless HWH. Came out and charged 300 to tell us all was fine. After he left system was not fine and kept tripping fuse. Wanted another 600 to come out and flush the system. Called Austin Texas Water Heaters who found the problem quickly, repaired it, and flushed the system for 500. Won't be calling Mr Tankless again for service. The problem was easy to find if they actually did anything for the 300 charged.
The check we wrote was to Robert Lemons and the system is propane not electric. So your memory is less than accurate.
We had Bob come out and look at are Rinnai Tankless water heater. It was not working and blinking a code 12. He informed us that the heat exchanger was rusted and corrodad and needed to be replaced. Since it was not under warranty. It would be cheaper to replace the unit for $2800.00. We said we would think about and get back to him , paid him $175.00 service fee for coming out to look at it.
I decided to call Rinnai. They were very helpful and told me. Yes !!! my heat exchanger was still under warranty. And standard procedures with fixing Rinnai tankless water heaters , is the service person is supposed to call Rinnai 800 number and tell them the code that is blinking and trouble shoot the problem over the phone.
The next person who came out did Exactly that, without me given mentioning calling Rinnai to trouble shoot the problem. Turns out my heat exchanger was fine. He was able to fix it after talking with Rinnai over the phone. Charged me $178.00 dollars and it's been working great.
Bob and Mr tankless are are not truthful and should not be trusted !!!!
Kalpesh G.Thank goodness for Mr. Tankless! He is our hero and has saved the day.
Bob and his team were able to come out and rescue us during the middle of a mini-remodel. We replaced all our countertops and sinks, consequently all the plumbing was off and needed to be fixed... valves needed to be replaced, drain positioning adjusted, leaks dealt with, etc.
When other plumbers wouldn't even give me a call back, Bob responded very quickly. Showed up, knocked out the work, and get us back to working water throughout our home.
Thanks again, Mr. Tankless for helping out the Gala Family!
