You should listen to Steven L. and his review. We didn't and definitely regret it.

As a plumber, Maurice is probably your guy. He will get you a good price and will probably get your small plumbing issue fixed. As a contractor, definitely look elsewhere. He just can't do the job. He lacks the skill set to efficiently manage a project and can provide nothing but excuse after excuse. We should've called it quits after we paid him a deposit to secure the job and he disappeared for 4 days when he was supposed to start working the day after. We didn't. We kept going.

The problems just continued and escalated. Long story short, we kept him on the job much longer than we should've. We gave him chance after chance to get things right. He blew through our money and never did any work.

Contracted with plumber to do an installation for 3/4. At the plumber's request, the appointment was moved to 3/6. On 3/5, the company called to cancel. This plumber is not reliable so don't waste your time.

Mr. Super Plumber was great. When I called to make the appointment it was after hours. I expected someone to call me back the next day but he called me within 15 minutes. The appointment was made for when I wanted him to come out. I needed to have him re- install the landlords washer and dryer (I used my own while renting). Landlord required a professional to do it. I called around several places and they wanted a lot of money to do this job. Mr. Super Plumbers price was good and he was great to work with. The job was done quick and easy. Extremely horrible communication skills. He started a job at my house on December 26 2015. It is now February 6 2016 and the job is STILL INCOMPLETE! I am completely outraged by the amount of times I have had to reach out to him to complete a job he has already been paid for.

I would run swiftly in the other direction if you are considering using this company! Save yourself the headache.

Contracted Mr. Super Plumber (Maurice Walton), on Thursday, December 10 to do a very simple install and exchanging out of pipes and rough-in in the basement before concrete was poured. I hesitantly gave him a 40% upfront and he also asked for another 10% when the job began. Regrettably, I did this and this is where the nightmare began. I know the job was simple because we hired a plumber afterwards who did the job in a half of day with a complete crew. Hindsight is always 20/20!

He showed up the following Tuesday with one worker that did not speak english (called him ""his helper"") and was completely unprepared to do what we had contracted him to do. He spent most of that first day talking and making excuses about why he could only work 4 hours the first day instead of 8.

Two days later his helper, Walter showed up to our house saying that he has not been paid by Maurice and that Mr. Super Plumber owed him $240 for two days of work. He indicated that Mr. Walton was not returning his phone calls either.

He said that he was tired from having to respond to an emergency at a woman's house the day before. He asked me if it was ok for him to leave early after the first day because he was tired and that he was ahead of schedule. The work that he did on the 1st day could have been done in one hour with a skilled crew.

Day 2 and 3 were much of the same, he showed up late, left early, left the jobsite on multiple occasions for ""product runs"", and had tons of excuses why a one day job had turned into 5. Maurice also communicated to me that my presence on the job site (the house that I own) made him nervous and asked me to trust him and that ""good work takes time"".

This was just another ploy and pressure tactic for him to avoid doing what he said that he would do. Aside from all of these other issues, Mr. Super Plumber was just unprofessional. There was zero urgency to do what he communicated at the time that he said we was going to do it. These were signs that I missed.

The entire time that he was on site he kept reminding me of how much money I was saving by using him and how ""he wasn't charing me more"" for things that he began to see that he did not anticipate. I regret that I did not follow my first instinct when I met him and went elsewhere.

To date he has received $3700 dollars from me and on the following Monday when he promised he was going to get the job done has disappeared and is not answering my phone calls or that of our general contractor. He told me that $2700 were for materials and all he bought was $100 worth of PVC pipe at best which are still left on site.

I intend to file a police report as well because of this money that was stolen from me. To date he has not returned the deposit that we gave him and stated on the phone in our last conversation that he does not intend to.

I would run swiftly in the other direction if you are considering using this company or guy. I can not say this strongly enough!

Mr. Super Plumber was a godsend! I have rental property in Takoma Park, and my tenants contacted me around 10pm on a Thursday night, that was one of the coldest nights in January, to tell me that the furnace was acting up and they had to turn it off. The temperature outside was in the teens, and I knew I had to find someone who could check it out the next day so my tenants wouldn't freeze! I called a well known company that had serviced the furnace in the past, told them the situation, and they told me they'd have the on-call manager call me back shortly. I still hadn't heard back around 45 minutes later (around 11:15pm), so I went online to see if I could find a backup. I saw Mr. Super Plumber's ad and went to the website. I was very impressed by what I read, and was thrilled to see that they were available 24/7, so I decided to call. My call was answered right away, I explained the situation, he knew right away what the problem was and told me what time he could be at the house the next day, Friday. I called the other company and canceled the call-back.

The technician arrived on time, checked out the furnace and diagnosed the problem. He gave me a quote for the repair (approx. $900). The furnace is quite old, and he did tell me some things I might want to consider given its age, without being pushy about my purchasing a new furnace like some other companies are known to be. I asked him for a quote for a new furnace and he said $3,200. He could pick up the furnace Monday morning and install it the same day. I honestly preferred the idea of getting a new furnace for the house instead of having the old one repaired, but I hadn't anticipated that type of expenditure at that time. He was very considerate about my situation and told me he would work out the numbers to try to give me a lower price. He gave me a new quote of $2,400, which I accepted. I intended to pay him with my credit card, but his credit card machine was down. I didn't have the cash available, so I wasn't sure what I'd do. He then told me he'd lower the price to $1,900 if I was able to pay in cash that day. Even though I'd met him only an hour earlier, I had such a good impression of him from his professionalism and service mentality that I didn't feel hesitant about giving him the money before he provided the service. I paid him the $1,900 cash and he gave me a service order invoice that specified the details of our arrangement.

I felt very good about getting a new furnace installed, but I was still concerned about my tenants who would have to get through the weekend with only a small ceramic heater for warmth. The technician offered to return to the house later that evening with a large heater they could use until he installed the furnace on Monday. I thought that was such a kind gesture, and he delivered! Trust me, you don't get that kind of treatment from most companies. My mother's furnace went out once and the company she's had a service agreement with for years didn't offer anything to keep her from freezing in her home while it took three days for them to repair her furnace. That extra consideration from Mr. Super Plumber was the icing on the cake for me, and I highly recommend him to anyone in need of the type of services he offers.

The furnace was installed when promised, and my tenants say it's working great!

He told me that he would come by Monday or first thing Tuesday morning and had me text him all my information. Sat home for 2 days waiting for him to arrive. Never showed up or called. It wasn't until after I notified him that I waited 2 days for his arrival when he sent a text back. Very unprofessional way to do business.
