When my roommate moved out and I went in to clean her bathroom, I realized that there were plumbing issues that needed to be fixed...that she never thought important to tell me about. Word.
Well, I hopped on Yelp and found these guys. When I called, Fred, the branch manager (I think that's what he said he was) picked up and was super friendly. We chatted for a bit about just random stuff and then finally got down to setting up a day and time.
The day of, he called me to give me a heads up that the plumber was gonna be there in about half an hour, which I thought was really great (so I could get dressed and not look like I had just rolled out of bed!...which I had).
Half hour later, Dean the plumber showed up at my door. He took a look at everything that needed to be fixed and when he gave me the price quote I was astounded at how reasonable it was! Before he started working, Dean even explained to me what was wrong and how he was going to fix it.
These guys are awesome. They are really nice and professional, and don't charge you an arm and a leg. Fred called up about an hour later just to check that everything had been done to my satisfaction.
I recommend these guys to anyone and everyone! A+ service!

This a review for the Downtown Mr. Speedy Plumbing which was was awesome. I tried to fix a sink on my own and botched the job horribly, but they came and fixed everything on the same day. Saved me a lot of grief from the family.

The price were very reasonable compared to the other quotes I received and the customer service was excellent with good feedback on the appt time before they arrived and during the job (when they needed new parts). They did a great job on the sink and were clean and efficient to boot. I would highly recommend them and they will be the go to plumbers for all my plumbing needs in the future.

Shout out to Dean who did a great, efficient job for me on a Sunday afternoon! I appreciated the 30-minute pre-appointment confirmation and the lack of judgment over my clogged bathtub drain (which no amount of Drano was gonna fix). Setting up the entire transaction through Mr. Speedy was easy-peasy. Would definitely use this service again -- and Dean if I can!

I got a message after hours from my tenants about a blocked drain and called Mr. Speedy. Dean came out within the hour and was very nice and helpful he went over and above the call of duty but unfortunately despite his more than 5 hr efforts was unable to resolve the problem that night.

I sent an email to the Company that night about available options and Fred wrote me back at 6 am the next morning and Fred personally came out to my residence the next morning and was able to resolve the problem without having to utilize some of the more costly alternatives. They were able to clear and treat my drain so that there was no further issues and did it at a reasonable price.

Fred called a few hours later to follow-up to make sure that everything was working smoothly and when I mentioned another small job that I needed a plumber for had his guys come out to take a look free of charge.

Everyone at Mr. Speedy is nice, professional and top of the line plumbers.

Our sink started backing up all of a sudden and we couldn't figure out how to make it drain so we had to call in a plumber. We were pleasantly surprise with Soeedy Plumber and how quickly they responded to our call and how efficiently they dealt with our problem. It ended that we had to replace our garbage disposal which had burned out and the pricing seemed reasonable for the work that they did. Everything has been working great since they left and were looking at replacing our water heater soon as it's not really functioning well and we plan on having them out to do the replacement.

I hate plumbing, it takes me 3 trips to Home Depot to get it right...if I am lucky. I called three plumbers and left messages on Saturday and then again on Monday morning, none of them (its Tuesday) have called me back yet,

On Monday afternoon, after being ignored by the other three, I jumped on Yelp to find someone and found Mr. Speedy. I called them. They picked up the phone (miracle!). 20 minutes later Dean was here.

He did a great job, was personable, cleaned up after himself, and I think he was pretty fair with me on price.

Note on their customer service: Several hours after Dean left my place a tiny leak developed with a compression fitting. It just needed to be tightened and I didn't know where my tools were. It was well after business hours but I decided to call..the owner still picked up (holy crap!) and told me he would get someone here as early as I wanted. I eventually found my tools and took care of it myself, but the service was clearly better than any other plumber on Yelp.

We are in the Condo business and we just upgraded our water heating and treatment systems since we were already having problems with the old one. A partner recommended that we should try calling Mr. Speedy since they were around the area. I was able to talk to Rick and ask for professional advice on what to do and how I can cut the cost a little bit. Rick was polite enough to give me options to choose from that fit my budget. They even rendered extra service through checking out our old pipes. Thank you Mr. Speedy for giving us an indeed speedy solution to our problem.

**Edited after the owner called to address the issue. After conversation, in an effort to make things right which I do respect, $50 was given as a discount.**

I had an emergency situation at my condo in downtown Los Angeles where the shutoff valve under my kitchen sink broke causing water to gush everywhere. The Manager of my condo was unable to turn off the water to my unit for an entire hour causing my entire kitchen floor to flood. To prevent potential damage and flooding to the unit beneath me, the condo Manager decided to turn off water to the entire building. Residents were upset and we needed an emergency plumber asap to fix the problem since the water could not be turned back on until the problem under my sink was fixed. I searched Yelp for a nearby plumber and Mr. Speedy Plumbing came up first. At this point, I didn't have a choice in who to select as I had angry residents in the building calling non stop to the front desk asking when the water was going to be turned back on. The man on the phone at Mr. Speedy Plumbing told me that they were located only 2 blocks away and that the minimum trip charge, since it was outside normal business hours, would be $59.95. He said that the cost of the service would be determined depending on what needed to be fixed and that the $59.95 would be credited against the final bill. I thought that was pretty reasonable and since I had no choice, I agreed to the service.

It did take about an hour for him to arrive due to running over at the previous job. Follow up calls to dispatch during the waiting period did provide status updates of their jobs which helped. When he arrived, he stated that the cost of the labor would be $250 to replace the angle valve which seemed steep but it was now 8pm and I had had my hand over the valve desperately trying to redirect the water into a pot for quite a long time while the engineer fumbled around trying to shut off water to our unit. It took about 5 mins to replace the broken angle valve and water was finally turned back on in the building. Overall, not a great 3 hours of my life, but at least the issue was quickly resolved once present.

Not sure which Mr Speedy I should leave this for, but I called the main number so I assume this is it. Fred is an absolute rip-off, he overcharged me considerably and did a very poor job in the end. I had to have another company come and do the work properly.
