The service provided was ok and the technician was very communicative and seemed knowledgeable but I had serious sticker shock at the cost, the added costs that are clearly just a money grab. Also the technician trying to upsell replacements parts and services that were not needed which I declined. To clean out a drain (which I am not sure fully needed it) and replace some pvc piping under my sink was $750 for 2 (maybe a little more) hours of work. Because I was out of the country and this is my rental property I didn't have much of a choice but to pay what was quoted but seems really inflated to me and I will not call them again.

I had tried to replace the pump piece to a frost free hydrant last week. Didn't work to say the least- water would not shot off at that hydrant so I had to turn off the well pump and was waterless. M and R home services responded to my call the next day and sent out a technician that afternoon. The tech was very nice and capable- it took a while but he figured out the problem. When I asked at the end of the appt what I owed, he said initially it would just be a service. When I mistakenly said, ""Really"" Are you sure?"" he then said he would check with his manager. After that call, the bill was $457. M and R charged $99 for the tech person to look at the problem- I knew that- but they are also supposed to discuss what the charges are likely to be before beginning the work. This never happened. I supplied all materials so it was just the tech's time. This broke down to $158.66/hour. I should have questioned the amount at the time but was desperately thankful to have water again and also had a medical appt in Bayfield and was already concerned about being late. I called the office Monday and very politely questioned the charges, allowing as how this is a pretty steep hourly rate for this part of the country and that estimated charges had not been discussed. No one has gotten back to me. Of course I am kicking myself that I didn't just go with the ""service call"" offer. In any case, this company showed up and got the job done but they are expensive. A neighbor who had a job quoted by them did not go with them because the cost was exorbitant.

the worst ever... had them out for clogged drain.... they cut holes many holes to access the pipe ... then left with holes in my walls.... said they would repair ... been 3 weeks now... no repairs. I liked them in the past, yet now NOT GOOD

The technicians completed the job and were respectful but pricing was high. However, an M&R manager worked with me on pricing, so I have amended my review and will consider them for future work should we need plumbing services.

Our hot water failed on a Friday night in a highly complex, multi-zone circulation system. Called M&R Saturday morning. They had a tech out on another job and scheduled him for our place in the afternoon. He called before arriving, took a methodical diagnostic approach on arrival, quickly identified the root cause of the problem, replaced a faulty part, and stayed to make sure all was working. I got a bid for a large plumbing job. One piece, to add a drain and water fixtures for a washer was quoted $6,000. In my online research, the parts for this are $200. I am aware that labor is expensive but I plan to do this on my own and save thousands. The rest of their bid was equally outrageous, do not use m&r.
