I called this company because I live in the country, and have a septic tank. The tank hasn't been pumped in years, so I called to make an appointment to get the tank pumped. The lady on the phone asked ""so what is the problem you are calling about?"" I told her I don't have a specific problem other than I want the tank pumped. I was informed there is a $50.00 diagnostic fee, and then once the problem is diagnosed, I can schedule someone to come and pump it. I asked why do I have to pay $50.00 to have someone tell me it does in fact need pumped? She said that's just the procedure. So I hung up.

Called Mr Rooter to check my hot water tank (wall unit). The water started out hot but turned cold when I started to wash my hair. The technician told me it needed to be flushed. The price for the work would be $342.40. Since I have to shower, I said fix it. He was here for about an hour. I paid with a check. I took a shower the next day and discovered that the water heater was not fixed. I called Mr Rooter and they said the technician could come the next day. He did not come or call. I called the next day and they said he would be there between 3 and 4 PM. He did not come or call. Called again next day and recording said phone disconnected. Found again on internet under new number. Called numerous times before someone answered the phone. I told Haley my problem. She said the technician said he didn't know what was wrong with it and suggested I call Groggs. Told her I paid my bill and they didn't fix my water heater. She kept saying to call Groggs and then hung up on me. Would not recommend this company to anyone. Now I have to pay another plumber.

Mr. Rooter saved the day! They arrived at our house 18 minutes after I called them and had our clog fixed in no time! I can't recommend them enough! Prompt, professional and experience!

Had a persisting water pressure issue-I called and then sent someone out later that day. Steve (I believe that was his name) was friendly and clearly knowledgeable. Walked me through what he was checking, what was wrong, and how it needed to be fixed. Flat-out great service all the way around. Highly recommended.

LOCAL WATER DISTRICTS CAN DO A LOT OF THE SAME STUFF FOR FREE. I recommend to call your water district first. I used Mr. Rooter twice this year and it cost me $400 each time. Then I learned that Lubeck PSD will run a camera in your pipes for free which is all Mr. Rooter did for $400 the second time I hired them. To be fair, they offered me a $100 refund since the tech didn't clean my pipe with a snake which caused me another backup three days later. They are highly responsive, available, and professional. The only company who responded when I needed someone in an emergency. If you have a clog and are physically able, you can get the water district to run a camera to locate your clog for free then rent a 100 foot snake from Bosley for $53.50 vs $400 for Mr. Rooter to do it. Tons of ""how to"" videos on YouTube as well. Good luck.

I continue to be amazed by this company! A few months back they did great work on my sump pump by coming up with a solution that other companies never thought of trying (shortening the floater arm length).

Then I called today about a broken hot water heater and they were enroute within minutes (Roto Rooter was going to be sometime the next day). I ended up canceling the call after the hot water heater pilot light lit and the technician was very polite over the phone as I cancelled.

Don't make the mistake I made! Make Mr. Rooter your first call! These people are amazing!

I had initially called regarding a slow leak in my guest shower, an issue that could wait and was not urgent. The first call was courteous, they gave me a next day appointment. When no one showed up or called, I called them and they informed me that the plumber was sick and that I was mistakenly not informed that no one was coming, which is understandable, these things happen. After the reschedule the plumber showed up and according to my fiancé he was very kind and professional, diagnosed the problem, and was going to order parts and fix the problem. There had been an issue with calling either of us as the phone numbers had been recorded wrong so we corrected the numbers with the office lady. The day the plumber was supposed to return, the third appointment, no one showed and after waiting three hours I called the office number and the girl who answered the phone said she had tried to call both myself and my fiancé and she couldn't get ahold of us so she cancelled the plumber coming to our house. We had warned them during the second visit that my fiancé would be working and unavailable, so they needed to call me and my number was still incorrect in the system. What happened next was the most bizarre and unprofessional interaction I have ever had in my adult life. I told the girl on the phone I was unhappy with the service I had received up to this point as it had taken three days off work, a few ""misunderstandings,"" and two weeks and I wanted to cancel the job. Without letting me finish she simply hung up on me. I tried to call back and she hung up on me again. I called again and told her I wanted to speak with a manager and she said ""Oh, you mean my dad."" Her entire disposition on the phone was that of an indignant teenager. I asked for his phone number and she said her dad, the manager, does not have a phone. I asked for his email and I assume I was given a false email. I asked her how to leave a complaint about her behavior on the phone and she told me to leave it with her and she would get it to him. I then asked her if I was wasting my time and she subtly agreed. This was in fact a massive waste of my time so to make up for it I decided to write my first negative internet review so that anyone who takes time to read this will take their business elsewhere.

We had a clogged sewer line on a Sunday morning. I called 800 numbers for 2 plumbing services. They told me I'd get a call back within 1/2 hour. Neither service ever called back. I was really frustrated, then I called Mr. Rooter! The technician who would be coming to my house called me within 10 minutes to tell me when he'd be arriving. He was at my house very quickly, gave me an estimate up front, unclogged the line and ran the camera in the line to check it. It cost me exactly what he quoted and he did not leave a mess behind. Super nice guy, very professional. I am VERY PLEASED with the service I received. This happened two weeks ago and the other plumbers I called still haven't called me back!!!
