My shower and toilet started to overflow with sewage during the crazy winter weather in mid-February. I called Mr. Rooter to schedule a plumber and they told me they had me scheduled the next day between 10 am and 12 pm. I call them the morning that they were supposed to show up and they tell me that I wasn't scheduled at all. That I never called them when I know I had and my phone log confirmed it. And then on top of it the customer service lady was extremely rude even thought I was desperate and in tears. When I tried looking for someone else no plumbers were available until the following week to two weeks out. I'm beyond livid. I could have been looking for a different plumber if they told me they weren't available. Instead I wasted my time and my bathroom is still full of sewage. I wish I could give them zero stars. Scum of the Earth. I'm never using them again and advise you not to. They're unprofessional and unreliable.

I would not recommend using Mr. Rooter for plumbing issues. They were hired to repair the entire main sewer line running under the slab costing over $28,000, yes, $28,000. The repair had to be re-done within 12 months due to breakage which they claimed was due to subcontractor fault. As the home I don't whose fault it was. Rooter did honor the 12 month warranty but a re-do of such a major repair is questionable. If the damage had been two months later I would have had to pony another $28K ???? A year later, in another home, plumbing system had a persistent vibration (not hammering) problem and after consults with several plumbers went to Rooter and ended up with an install of an expansion tank for the water heater. Vibration seemed to go away for a short period (couple weeks) and it returned for nearly half a year before it disappeared without further maintenance and then came back again. It seems installing the tank was a band-aid pluck and chuck costing $430. During 2020 holiday period couldn't get a local plumber for a stopped up kitchen sink so hired Rooter again. - Mistake - They cabled the kitchen sewer line and looked at the clean out trap and charged $329. It appeared the problem was solved. Six days later same backup in kitchen reappeared and when Rooter office was called they said the line clearing wasn't warrantied. I got a local plumber who cabled from vent pipe for $90 and in 15 minutes the problem cleared. What kind of plumber CO doesn't warranty line clearing that they charged $329 and didn't fix the problem in less than a week!. Plumbing issues come a the most inopportune times so home owners sometime have to hire COs that they don't have full confidence. I've had it with Rooter after this go round.

We called this place because the two companies we generally use couldn't get to us in a timely manner. They charged us $400 to snake the line and to remove the toilet because that's where they snaked it. Didn't put a new wax ring around it after he removed it. Told us we had a break in our line and wanted to give us estimate to trench under the house and fix it. We said "no" and called one of the two companies and they put a camera thru the whole line and could find no problems. Beware of this company!

The 2 stars are for the 2 gentleman who worked on my house in the burning sun. The reason they didnt get 5 stars was due to the administration/office. They charged me the day of work. 5 days later they charged me again but quickly refunded the money. I called to find out status after 2 days. They said to call my bank it's out of their hands. I dont think that's right, so now I have to spend 2+ hours on hold for the bank. I should have Mr. Rooter pay my phone bil. It took another 5 day to for the money to return to account. Ladies are unprofessional, and rude.

I needed 2 drains cleaned and a water supply for an ice maker. Their tech arrived with a price book. HE Qouted $198.00 for each drain. The supply line and valve was going somewhere above $500. I told him no. I just wanted service. I did not want to support their corporate vacation.

They came out to give me an "estimate" for possible leak in the foundation. I explained why I thought there may be a leak based on another plumbing company who had been out. We talked for about 20 minutes. He walked through my house. DID NOT CHECK ANYTHING! he wrote up an estimate based on our conversation! And told me to get a "true estimate" would cost approx $200*

I don't give these people no stars!!! My mom had a issue with here toilets not flushing. They did not come in and pull a toilet at all and run a camera to find the problem like should of first. They said her sewer line out back had roots in the line which it did not. They convinced her that replacing the outside line was the problem. They charged her $5100 to take out a pipe that was clearly fine because I had a different plumber and the city inspector check to see what they were saying was true just to get a professional opinion. They both agreed that the pipes were fine and no roots or even cracks or holes in the old piping, they lied and were dumb enough to leave the evidence were we could find and took pictures, they did a job that did not need to be done at all, then when I called them on there lies , he stuttered and kept saying roots, I even asked him if he had the camera footage of looking at inside pipe or pictures....he did not because he lied and this time he got busted....found out they already had 3 violations in 2019 and I have the paper work.....thank god we were able to cancel the last big check she wrote them.....this time you got busted .... they lie and over charge and take advantage of elderly people who don't understand. I even told them if I was there before they started and told me that root crap lie I would of never had them dig and kick them off the property . The problem was a old cast iron pipe under the house that collapsed ...that's it not the pipe outside cause the rest of the house was draining just fine through it.... so to any one take this advice use other people and not them they are crooked and this time they got caught....Waco tx McGregor tx area ....oh and we called main office to complain and they kept saying they needed proof of power attorney to tell us anymore.....that's funny we were handling this the whole time...but what it is that another plumber went behind there work and said he would of fired his crew for even doing that kind of work they even did that was not needed....I'm glad we were able to expose how dirty they are and that the guy that came to my moms house lied and took advantage of her just to get money and did not even find the problem she had.... end the end we got enough proof they lied and stopped payment on a job that was not even completed

This is the worst plumbing company ever! We bought an older home and were doing some updates and decided to remove a gas heater from the bathroom. In doing so we needed one gas line replaced and brought up to city code, they said they needed to dig a hole under my house to access the pipes. They came out several times with out calling ahead to make sure someone was there to let them in or informing the city housing inspector(who had to approve and sign off on the work) know that they were working and/ or done. During this time they talked us into a new water heater and hooking up the kitchen sink and dishwasher for us. All this while we were waiting for the appointment with the inspector so we could turn the gas on. When the inspector came it failed they used materials that were not up to code even though they had a permit which stated what kind of material and the inspector who told the what materials to use. So the changes it but then left the furnace and the gas meter detached from any piping so when atoms came the threatened to charge us for damage to the meter. The inspector was very mad at this point and went to the main office himself and told them what needed to be done so the company sent out 2 different plumbers who were able to get the job done but the whole thing took over two months when at most is should have taken 2 weeks. PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS PLUMBER!!! Unless you like overpaying for for cheap materials that are not up to code and takes months to complete.

I called Mr. Rooter, requesting to speak to the operations manager. I explained the circumstances of my experience and offered them a chance to rectify the problem or provide insight from a management perspective. What occurred next can only be described as a poor attempt to justify the high price because they had to license and bond so many different plumbers, rather than one independent person - even though I explained that the second plumber was a licensed and bonded professional company - and that the owner came to my home himself to begin assessing the problem. I have since filed a formal complaint with the Texas State Board of Plumbing Examiners. Please, save yourself the hassle and expensive price tag; avoid using this company at all costs.

Beware. Tried posting bad review to their website ... they only allow top reviews. My mother in law used them at the dfw location (same owner) for a clogged toilet. They told her it would cost 28,000.00 to completely replace plumbing line under her home. Went up to 45,000.00 due to more problems. Now, doing repair on home and finding cast iron pipe still to the commodes and tubs! and backfill wasn't filled to today's standard. Tried to call and owner never returned calls until I called the franchise complaint department. Bad customer service. Owner was very rude and not cooperative. Beware beware
