Since its inception in 1970, the original Mr. Rooter has upheld a commitment to values centered on performing quality work for reasonable prices. Half a century on, the original Mr. Rooter remains dedicated to serving homes and businesses throughout Oklahoma City. It is still independently run with deep connections to the community that made it all possible.
I might not be a plumber, I am dedicated to customer service and assisting people in need. Tony and I took over the existing Mr. Rooter Plumbing of the Twin Cities and Rochester franchise. We consider our office staff and service technicians family in hopes of establishing ourselves as the top employer. In return, we expect our employees to treat our customers with respect, courtesy, and honesty. We aren’t the lowest-priced plumbing company in the Twin Cities, nor the highest-priced, but we strive for excellence. We are the plumbing, gas, drain, and sewer experts because that’s all we do. I invite you to call us and see the Mr. Rooter difference.

Don't use for emergency/weekend service. We had a major leak that meant turning off the water for the entire home. In other words, we *really* needed a plumber fast. They committed to coming out at 5pm on a weekend. Got a call at 5:15pm (15 minutes after we were expecting them) saying nobody was available. Adding insult to injury, it was too late to get someone from another company out. Typically plumber is late, this one just dosen't come at all.
Nick B.This company is not licensed by the city of Minneapolis to do outdoor plumbing work. If you hire them to do it they will subcontract the work out to a real outdoor plumbing company and the price will be way higher since Mr. Rooter takes a cut.

Mr. Rooter (Minneapolis, MN) was recommended to me as a preferred plumbing vendor for Renter's Warehouse, my property management company. In March of 2017, I commissioned Mr. Rooter to address a leaking jacuzzi tub and leaking kitchen faucet. The jacuzzi tub required extensive and expensive re-work as it continued to leak after it was deemed fully repaired by the Mr. Rooter technician. This need for rework was only flushed out by the general contractor who requested my tenants test the tub prior to him installing a new ceiling, drywall, and flooring that were all damaged by the leak. Thank god for the diligence of this general contractor and his wariness of the plumbing ""fix"".
Fast forward to this week as I receive the results of a home inspection and learn that my brand new, Mr. Rooter installed kitchen sink, sold to me as the source and solution to my kitchen sink leak problem, is in fact leaking at the supply line fittings. I asked the manager to do right by me and give them an opportunity to take responsibility for their workmanship and was told that they hold firm to their 30 day warranty and opt not to even take a look at the situation, much less resolve it. This leak was detected 3 months after the ""fix"" as the house had been vacant for the majority of that time.
I did not intend to write a poor review in April when I had difficulties with jacuzzi leak root cause identification and resolution. However, when the manager abdicated any responsibility towards the poor job identifying and resolving my kitchen sink leak, I felt obligated to share my experience so that others are not taken advantage of by a company that refuses to own up to their responsibility and workmanship.
Jennifer S.He was very helpful, he explained everything as he went. I was very appreciative. I hate paying for a service & not knowing what was done. I eel use the service again
In February 2017 my sump pump went out and Ken Bartlett from Mr Rooter came to my home. He seemingly did a decent job but the problem was not resolved after a couple days of my sump pump continuing to run. He gave me his personal cell phone and asked me to let him know if anything came up. It did and he came back. He did not resolve the issue again (as I went with another plumbing service) and at end of that visit he said it would be $160 or I could pay him $100 cash and he'd drop off a paper receipt later (I assume he kept this money himself). I asked several times when he'd leave receipt I needed for insurance purposes with either excuses or no responses. I told him I'd take it up with management to which he replied I was a ""desperate lady"" and he assumed the $100 was a tip which is certainly wasn't. Not only did he not resolve the problem either time, he was insulting and rude. I would not recommend this company to anyone.
I am a VERY UNSATISFIED customer. I hired Mr Rooter as a referral from my HVAC installer. Mr Rooter ended up installing my valve backward. The HVAC company that referred Mr Rooter, felt bad and fixed the problem so that they could complete their work vs losing a half day of their time. Mr Rooter charged me $300 labor to install the valve incorrectly. The Fridley General Manager contacted me and would NOT refund any of the labor unless I was charged by the HVAC company to fix the problem. How about the fact that Mr Rooter didn't do the job correctly? Would NOT trust or refer this company.
This place is the worst. Had them out to snake my floor drain and they insisted on hydro-jetting it. It did absolutely nothing and they sent a different person out who then insisted we needed a new main line for the bargain price of $12k... Found a better plumber who did replace the main line but for a fraction of the cost, as well as snake the floor drain...
The customer service sucked. They never returned calls, even though the work was ""guaranteed,"" they tried to convince us that the exact same thing happening the next day was a different problem. Then they tried to explain how plumbing works to me like I'm an idiot... It's a scam. Go anywhere else. I wish I could give them 0 stars.
Mary S.We have this company (based in Fridley) come out on a yearly basis to clean a main line out of our house - a combination of a weird original installation and living in the woods (tree roots, etc). Our service people have always been helpful, professional, and clean. They have suggested solutions, but so far none have made more economic sense than having them come for about $340 every year or two, and they acknowledge that and don't try to sell us on it. (The competitors? At least double the price!) Mr. Alex Suarez is especially great to deal with. Would I hire this company for other plumbing needs? Maybe not. I'd go with a owner/operator company for that. No offense to Mr. Rooter - they are great at what they do.
I tried again, to repair a shutoff valve for the toilet, set a toilet and repair faucet (seat or o-rings).
Tech fixed shutoff - no issues.
Set toilet - no good. He added another horn wax ring, tightened and left. Next day it oozed wax out onto floor and toilet rocked. Called back out, this time removed all wax, installed new wax horn and used shims to make sure was set. Works ok, now.
Faucet-he would not attempt. Too complicated he said - no, Im not making this up.
This job was over $300. I recommend any other plumber. This was my last time calling Mr. Rooter. I could and should have just done myself. If you need a shutoff valve, they could probably swing it, for a price.
These guys were a total rip-off. For one thing they make it seem like they are in St. Cloud, when they are not. They do not quote you a price for a job until after it is done. We had just a simple ream out of our sewer line and charged us 408. After calling their main office I got the price down to 358. Still a rip-off when all other places we have used in the past charge 135.-150. I never thought someone would charge over twice as much as anyone else in the business or I never would have gotten these guys to come out. Don't use them.
