Would recommend them. Reasonable prices, explained what and why they're doing things. Professional and courteous.

I had a busted 1/2 inch copper pipe. I called Mr. Rooter of Central Texas at 254-755-6661. They came out and quoted me $748 to repair the pipe. In my opinion that was over the top to repair so I declined. When using Mr. Rooter ask to give you an estimate before showing up. If you don't, you will have to pay the service fee call of $70 if you don't like the repair quote. Normally Mr. Rooter does not give estimates. Subsequent to them I had another plumber come out and quoted me $150 - $200 but he didn't have the parts to repair. Our insurance adjuster quoted $175 to repair. I finally got a plumber to come out and he charged me $325 to repair which in my opinion was 2x the going rate but given the circumstances of the situation in Texas I got the job done. My advice is if you use MR. Rooter ask for a free estimate first, if they refuse go to your next plumber. Based on my experience Mr. Rooter will charge you 4 times the going rate. If possible always get 3 free estimates from reliable plumbers.

Lack of sympathy, care, and communication from the scheduling staff. After the technician did not show within the scheduled window, I called for an update. Brandy assured that they were late but someone would for sure be there. I tried again 5 hours later for another update when no one had arrived. Again I was told someone would come, but I'd have to wait until another day. She informed me others were moved ahead of me.

Professional and fast service much cheaper than I was quote from a competitor. Highly recommend!!

Work quickly and efficiently. I only gave 3 stars instead of 5 because I do not recommend using the after hours service. We were unable to shut off our water at almost midnight, worried that my bathroom would flood, we called. The technician came in looked at it, said he doesn't have those parts on his truck and how would I like to pay. That was it. He took the $100 after hour payment and left. The next morning one of the ladies at the office called and asked did the problem get fixed. I told her absolutely not. The tech was in home all of 5 minutes and 3 of those minutes was him taking payment. They sent someone over that was already in the area. He looked and said he knew exactly what it was and that he'd be back. He was back 20 minutes later getting the job done.

Worst company I've ever dealt with ever in my 60 years of dealing with people I called them on the day after thanksgiving. They told us all our pipes needed replacing now! Not to use the restrooms but sparingly and without toilet paper and that it would cost us $25-30K to remedy the issues. When we got a second opinion from Jason Jennings none of this was true. We had one small issues under our tub area that will need repairing later on down the road not immediately. And it wasn't going to cost me an arm and a leg to do it either. They ruined my holiday and told me lies. I'm older so I guess they thought I was easy prey.

We had a backup issue in our house coming from our Kitchen sink area, so my wife called Mr. Rooter. They came out and troubleshot the system and it basically looked like we had a busted pipe under our house. A dig crew was needed to excavate under the house. This process began Monday 26 Sep. The dig crew arrived Wednesday 28 Sep, we were told 8 am and they showed at 11 am. The 40 feet of digging was completed Friday 30 Sep. Plumbing was done Saturday and Sunday to fix the broken pipe. The City Inspector was scheduled for Monday and Tuesday, showed Tuesday. Diggers showed back up to backfill on Thursday, but did not show up Friday because of a separate site location. They had an issue with a truck, accident, for Saturday, so digging did not complete until Monday, 8 Oct. Throughout the initial process the 2 techs, Chad and Mike, were courteous and respectful and kept us informed. However, after we called the Operations Manager, Sharlene on Monday to inform here of our frustrations with the digging crew and since we had to pay extra for rock (understood) I wanted to know what compensation the company would provide due to the igging crew taking so long. Long story short, we got nowhere, she was disrespectful to both me and my wife over the phone. I explained to her that both Techs told me the diggers overbooked themselves and when we called into the office over the weekend we were informed that multiple people called in complaining of the digging job not being completed. However, once Chad and Mike showed up on Monday, they spoke a different tune and mirrored what the Operations Manager Sharlene told me on the phone in direct contrast to what the techs told me the week prior. On top of it, Mike approached and talked to me the entire time in a very unprofessional manner and was disrespectful to me the entire time, as well as lie to me about where the diggers were on Friday, that NOW all of the sudden they were NOT overbooked (talk about toeing the company line that the Operations Manager stated). Also, he stated we were expected "Unrealistic Expectations' on the work being done. When I mentioned I took the day of to work on my yard and now I can't, his response was, you can still go back to work, seriously? Talk about ZERO customer service support. Up to this point I had been very frustrated, but was still not sold on not going with company ever again, however once Mike spoke to me in this manner it made up my mind. I also did not realize that a 5 year plan (Advantage Plan) was an extra cost. I realized this once I saw the itemized bill that we were charged. We were never asked about this and when we were told about that we would be getting it, assumed that is was included in the cost because of the high amount we were spending (over $27,000). It is obvious to me that this company is better at covering their rear than taking care of customers and with attitude and lack of customer service support, I gave them every opportunity to make this right, but it is obvious that money is more important to them than taking care of customers. I am fed up and done. I don't know why my fb lists my location as SF, but I am in Killeen, TX

I commend the plumbers chad and mike. These two individuals were professional and knowledgeable with the work they did at my son home in Killeen. Now the sub contractors hired by Mr Rooter was horrible. They came to perform the digging late or not to bring personal to do the job hired to do. They charged extremely a large amount of money to do the start and finish of the job. I think if mr rooter is to hire a sub contractor then they need to take responsibility for the completion of the job. 254-368-8424. Supervisor named SHARLENE needs to remember the customer is always right. Not her horrible unprofessional and rude attitude

I came home from work on a Thursday to discover my water heater leaking and absolutely soaking my walls. In a panic, I called Mr. Rooter, because I saw they made 24 hour house calls. They sent out their technician from Copperas Cove, who changed out the flex line. Less than two hours later, I had to call them back for another leak. This time, the technician said I needed a new water heater, and that he would be back the next day around 11am to install it. The next day, the restoration company came out to dry my walls, and the technician called to say that he thought it would be better if he waited until the walls and the platform the heater sits on we're all dry before installation. (this was on a Friday)
He says he'll be there Monday, and said he could work around my schedule and get here around 6:30pm. I finally called around 10 past 7, but didn't get an answer. A few minutes later, he calls to tell me that there was an issue with the permit, so he couldn't do it. He'll be there the next day. Tuesday rolls around, and not a word from the plumber. I call the local office around 7:45pm, and they don't have a clue as to why he hasn't been here or gotten in touch with me. They give him a call. Close to 8, I receive a phone call from dispatch giving me the same story from the day before. I'm typing this as I sit here for the 3rd missed appointment in a row, and 6th day in a row with no hot water. No h whatsoever. We can't do dishes. We can't wash clothes. We can't cook, because the dirty dishes would pile up. We can barely shower. My husband and I have both taken (some of our *limited*) time off from work, so we could wrangle our dogs and make life easier for our plumber. When I brought this up, all I was told is how inconsiderate it was of them, and that my message would be relayed.
***Update: We finally got everything done, with (so far) satisfactory results. The plumber and his helper came out on a Saturday to work. This day, they were professional, friendly, and efficient, so I updated my review to reflect this.

Avoid these people like the plague. They totally ripped me off. I was told on the phone that there would be no charge for an estimate, but when the guy got here and spent all of 5 minutes assessing the situation, he read a number out of a binder to estimate the job. My mistake was apparently asking how much it would cost me to get something else fixed. Another minute and another glance at his binder and apparently that was worth $69.95 for a house call, and their estimates were roughly double that of a couple of very friendly and helpful independent contractors here locally (yes, there are some who do clear pipes.) The "home of the $129.00 drain cleaning" bit is an outright LIE. Their estimate was more than double this, and that was their standard charge (right out of the binder.) I will never call some big chain plumbing company again. They are obviously in business to fleece you, while local independents live or die by their reputation. Lesson learned.
