Tyler was early and got right to work! Very nice, clean , respectful young gentleman. Really happy with service and will recommend to all my friends! Thank you for getting this done quickly before the holiday! Prices are fantastic!
Gerald F.We called Mr. Rooter when we were having a major drainage problem. John and his crew quickly addressed the situation and explained what was necessary too correct the problem. Their expertise and dedication was superb and the blockage was solved efficiently and quickly. We are more than pleased with the results as well as the price. We highly recommend Mr. Rooter for any and all plumbing problems.
My kitchen sink and faucet were old, and when I recently got a clog in the kitchen drain, I figured this was a good opportunity to install a new sink and faucet, as well as remove the clog. I made the mistake of hiring Mr. Rooter for the job. I set up an appointment and they came over to take a look and give me an estimate. They were 2+ hours late for the appointment. Anyway, they gave an estimate for $1600, just to snake the drain and install the new sink along with a new P-trap. I thought the figure was astronomical but I wanted to get it over with so I agreed. Adding insult to injury, they demanded half of the money, $800, to be paid upfront, as a deposit, days before they ever lifted a finger. In my experience that was unheard of, but I (foolishly) paid it. When they finally showed up to do the work, on Tuesday, February 6, and late by several hours again, they said the new sink didn't quite fit the cutout on the countertop and that I would need to either modify the countertop or find a new sink. They asked if I wanted to remove the old sink anyway. They assured me they would come back in a jiffy to wrap things up once the new sink was here, and I figured I'd get a new sink from Amazon in 24 hours, so I agreed to have the old sink removed. Little did I know that they would poke a hole in the cabinet floor in the process and ""slaughter"" the piping (that's how another plumber who came later to fix their mess put it: ""Boy, those Rooter guys really slaughtered the pipes""). The first three photos show how they left the area that day, with a destroyed cabinet base, mutilated piping, and my home without drinking water or a kitchen sink. Again, that was on Tuesday, February 6. I spent Tuesday evening searching Amazon for another sink. Wednesday morning before 9AM I called in to ask their boss (who was at my place the day before) if a new model I'd found would fit. I couldn't get a hold of him and had to talk to his wife, who said that he'd get back to me soon. Hours go by and nothing. I send another text message and once again the wife (it's easier to get through to a brain surgeon apparently, common folk must always go through the wife, since Dr. Rooter is constantly busy with extremely important and delicate, life-saving operations) says that the plumber will deign to reply sometime ""in the afternoon"". Mind you, this task was literally just to look at a sink model on the Amazon website, check the dimensions and say 'yes' or 'no, literally no more than a minute or two of his time. By 3 PM the wife texts me to tell say that the sink has been blessed, so I immediately order it, and I'm told that it will arrive by next day, Thursday. So I text to set up an appointment for Friday morning, but the wife (of course) informs me that they're doing extremely important wasteline work so no dice, they can't do Friday morning, but Friday afternoon at 1 should work.
Now I know from my previous experiences with them that their scheduled 1PM means they'll arrive at 4PM, and at 5 PM on a Friday they'll want to clock out, so I press for a Friday morning appointment because the last thing I want is to be left without drinking water and a sink over the weekend. She agrees to send someone first thing on Friday morning, at 8 or 8:30 PM. The following day, on Thursday afternoon, I get a text from her asking ""Has the new sink arrived?"". I reply that it has and ask her to confirm the Friday morning appointment. She blows me off. All of Thursday goes by and I get no reply (that by itself is completely unprofessional). Then on Friday morning, right when they were supposed to show up, I get a phone call saying that they can't make it because they have other things to do, but they should be able to fit me in next week on Monday. Naturally I protest, but the wife is annoyed and asks ""Do you want a Monday appointment or not?"" I decline the offer, end the conversation, and call another plumber, who came over on the same day and installed the new sink, remarking that he'd never seen such ""slaughtered"" piping, and that it was his belief that this is why the Rooter guys didn't want to come back and finish the job, because after mutilating the pipes as they did, the only way to make it work was to cut deep into the cabinet, which was very hard (though the new plumber, bless his soul, was willing and able to do it - see photo 4). I've disputed the $800 deposit I paid them through my credit card, and if they insist on keeping even a portion of that money for the ""work"" they did on Tuesday (the aftermath of which you see in the first 3 photos), we'll have to go to court. I'll update this review with any updates as they occur.
Alison M.Had an urgent plumbing issue and called at 11am. Josh was at the door about an hour later. He took a look around, made some calculations and finished up quickly. He was able to show us the different options for fixes from simple on up the scale and was able to remedy the problem with the least expensive and invasive means. Everything went smoothly and Josh was very courteous and friendly. From phone call to completion, everything was great.
We want to take this opportunity to thank Mr. Rooter and his team for the wonderful service they provided for our home. Very professional and courteous. They redesigned the old bathroom to make it more modern and accessible if future plumbing problems arise. They went out of their way to help us when we had a leaky gas pipe that needed fixing as well as an inspection from National Grid. It was a very tense week, but the entire Mr. Rooter team worked hard for us. Hubby and I cannot say enough good things about Mr. Rooter.
After our former plumber never followed up on my request for help, I contacted Mr. Rooter Plumbing in Saratoga Springs. After several visits and persistence, my plumbing woes were resolved with courteous and competent application. I now have a new plumber for future problems.
Beth S.I highly recommend Mr. Rooter of Saratoga. I was isolated at home with a broken leg, in the middle of winter, when my old propane hot water heater died. Mr. Rooter answered the first call I made to them & sent a technician to look at the heater the same day. They sent a team the next day to take out the old heater and professionally install a new one. They handled everything from A-Z, and the new water heater works perfectly. Their prices were fair & honest and they explained every single cost to me. What struck me about this company was how kind & compassionate every person there is - from the person handling the phone, scheduling, & billing to the technicians to the owner. Thank you to all of them! I would go no where else for plumbing needs.
I have used Mr. Rooter of Saratoga Springs multiple times now and they are always prompt and courteous. This time we had Jamie B. come out to fix the water line to our toilet that stopped working. He arrived just when promised and fixed it and another issue we had. He gave us a suggestion for another long term issue that we can't seem to solve. I will definitely call them in the future for plumbing issues!
Leroy P.I would like to thank and say I appreciate the great job the owner of Mr. Rooter Plumbing did at my house today. I would highly recommend him, he's a professional and I also enjoyed the conversation!
