I called Mr. Rooter company to fix my kitchen sink and they came out within 20 minutes. It was affordable and fast, it actually blew my mind how Luis Contreras was so fast to fix the problem.

I will start with saying I have submitted a formal complaint about this matter to the BBB as well. If I could give zero stars and write this review I would. Mr. Rooter was hired by a real estate agent to perform a sewer inspection on my home on 9/16/19 that was in escrow. The technician who came to our home was named Jesus Arreola. Jesus is recorded on our ring security system telling the agent that our pipes are in good condition and then asking if she is the ""buying or selling agent"". Once she states she is the buying agent he then proceeds to tell her that we have clay pipes (we do not they are ABS pipes all replaced in 2000) and major root Intrusion that must be repaired. He is recorded on video telling the agent to not take no for an answer from us on repairs as they are required maintenance or the new buyers will have very costly repairs to deal with. Mr. Arreola then writes up an estimate of repair for 6,936.00 which includes digging a 4x4 ditch in our yard and cutting and replacing piping. We pushed back on the agent asking for a formal inspection report or video to show where the damages that they witnesses that needed repair as proof the pipes were truly damaged. The agent stated it would cost 50 additional dollars for a USB of the video, my husband called to retrieve the video and we were told no video was taken at the time of inspection and they would have to come back out and redo the inspection for another fee to obtain. We clearly refused and the agent then call Mr. Rooter who told her our pipes were ""75% blocked and one bad flush will cost 60k+ of damages to the home"". Because we refused to do any work without a report and because of the scare tactics Mr. Rooter utilized the buyers cancelled escrow. We called in a certified plumber to do a second sewer inspection and he completed with a formal video on 9/28. The video shows all of our piping is ABS pipes till the clay connection with the city pipe which is properly sealed and not clogged. He found zero root intrusion and one small area he was able to flush out in 5 min. Total cost 200.00 and 30 min of work. Mr. Rooter is an unethical business who uses predatory sales practices to scare clients into thousands of dollars of repairs that are not needed. They should not be in business and clearly know they are lying when they perform their work or they would provide formal reports and/or video of every inspection they do to back up their claims for repairs. Do not use this company they will steal from you!!

I had fake turf installed at my house by a company and they hit a water pipe while excavating and called Mr Rooter to fix. The tech did a great job and the the turf company paid, however a day later I realize there is a leak in my water meter box. The city comes out and says it's on my side and asked if we had turned off the water frequently and that was the cause of the leak.

I call mr rooter to come check it out since they shut off the water for the pipe leak. First they said they will be there next day 8am-10am. I then received a call around 9am that they would be late and be there around 1pm. After that I never received a call and no visit. The next day I thought I would hear back and finally called at 4pm. They said the service call had been canceled at 1pm and if I canceled, HUH? I have a water leak why would I cancel. They said sorry we will be there tmrow between 1-3. They finally show up and say the warranty doesn't cover it and it's a flat $1800 to fix the valve on my side of the meter.

I knew that was a redic price and didn't like they didn't show so I called a plumber on yelp with 5 stars I have used before. Scheduled it up and they charged me almost half of what Mr Rooter charged. The tech from rooter saved this from being a 1 Star since he was good and just going by the company line (and didn't create the scheduling issue).

The only reason I gave these guys to stars was because they came pretty quickly. Aside from that, they try to gouge you. There are roots in my sewer line that were clogging it up. They quoted me almost $5000 to fix that. They said the price was non-negotiable. I got somebody else to do it for $1300. Not cool.

Very professional. Not sure why anyone would give a bad review, which actually discouraged me from contacting them... glad I called.

Had to make an emergency call over the weekend, and they picked up the phone right away. Very easy to make appointment. They sent two reminders.

I got home from early, and the plumber was flexible and arrived early as well. The technician who showed up was very transparent about the problem and explained the problem to me well.

The quote they gave me was higher than another company associated with my HOA (which is very normal and acceptable for me).

Omar Marquez led a team (Anthony, Ruben, Noe, and Luiz) to do the work. I specifically requested Omar from the previous work because he was professional, friendly, and helpful. He communicated clearly with me throughout the process about what they needed and what they would get completed when. Each member of the team was professional and focused on the task at hand. Omar is a great mentor as well and in Anthony I see a future Omar. And they completed the work one to two days ahead of schedule. You must be very glad to have them on your team.

I had a pleasant experience with the person who took my call to set up a convenient appointment. I had a wonderful experience with Andrew Colorado who came out to fix a clogged toilet on 7/13/19. He was on time, courteous, wore protective booties in the condo, fixed the plumbing problem, did a great job with cleanup. Overall, I would highly recommend Mr. Rooter to others looking for a good plumber.
