A little over a month ago, I called Mr Rooter because I saw all the great reviews and thought I could trust this company. I had woken up one morning to a leak in my bathroom and noticed it was hot water. I called and someone came before the quoted time frame which I thought was nice.
However as soon as the guy walked in he said it's a slab leak. Then he tried to do a leak detection and could not find the leak. Yet he said I had water damage so called a restoration company and then turned around and tried to tell me that the pipes in my house was recalled on and I should re pipe. Then he pulls out the quotes between $8,000 to $20,000.
In my head I'm believing everything they're telling me so I said I will do the re pipe for $13,000. He put me through to his finance guy and I didn't qualify for the finance so they tried to get me to sign up for a program where the bill is tagged into my property taxes.
Right away I said no. I called my sister to let her know what was going on and she told me to tell them that were going to get a second opinion because none of that sounded right. Well, as soon as I told Mr Rooter second opinion they suddenly started to change their story. The guy even said, ""he wasn't convinced..."" on the other hand I have the restoration guy telling me they have to open all the walls because of water damage.
And let me just add MR ROOTER NEVER FOUND THE LEAK.
After they left I went to my neighbor who is a general contractor and asked if he could take a look. He told me all that didn't sound right and the so call pipe that was recalled is still being sold in stores. And he told me I should cancel before my insurance company came out and denied my claim causing my insurance to increase for no reason.

In the end we were able to get a solution and it did not cost me anywhere near 8 or 13 thousand.

I had two corn on the cobb holders go into our garbage disposal and broke into pieces. There were four metel pieces that broke apart and got wedged in the disposal. I managed to get 3 pieces out, but the last one was wedged in a hole and we couldn't loosen it. We called Mr. Rooter and Gabrielle Robles spent 30 min getting it loose enough to get out. He was very polite, clean and was professional. I found out that they also go to homes in the evening and Saturday's and Sundays with no extra charge. I would highly Reccommend Mr. Rooter.

Homeowners beware. These guys wanted to dig up my yard and replace a main pipe for over $3,000 and also told me that might not be it they would have to check further in the house once the pipe was replaced. I had a second plumber come out found a blockage, cleared it and checked the pipes letting me know there was no reason to dig or replace the main. Stay AWAY!!!!

My kitchen sink backed up and nothing I did could unclog it. My friend recommended Mr. Rooter. I called and they sent over Juan Alberto. He showed up right when they told me would and accessed my sink issue. He made several suggestions and I took the most economical solution since I'm on a strict budget. Juan got to work and unclogged my sink quickly! He was also very nice, polite and put on shoe protectors while in my house. I'm so glad I took my friends advice! This has been a wonderful experience. Yes, it was expensive but way less than it could have been. My rep was Gabriel Robles. He was VERY respectful. Lots of yes ma'ams and no ma'ams; which I really appreciated. He was patient, attentive and professional. He even did clean up on the nastiest gunk that came out of my shower that looked like tar, once the hydro wash was completed. He went above and beyond the scope of his work and did an amazing job of cleaning it all up without hesitation. People don't do that kind of service anymore. I have already told four coworkers about my amazing experience and thought I would share it with the masses. I am a very happy customer!

Gabriel Robles was the Service Tech who showed up at my house right around the time I was told he would be there. I recently found our hot water heater leaking a little bit and was concerned that it may be a safety issue. Gabriel came in and was courteous and professional. He had a look and noted that the water heater was indeed leaking and cold not be fixed. He gave me my options and gave me the price it would cost to replace and install a new unit. I told him I would need to speak to the Mrs. There was no high pressure sales job at all and he put my mind at ease about the immediate safety concerns.

As he was getting ready to leave, I asked how much I owed him for the consult. He informed me there was no charge. I was shocked, and I was willing to pay for his time, but all he asked for was a chance to gain our business after we make a decision. I think it is awesome that they were willing to forgo a small fee now for my business down the road. They most certainly will have it.
