Scammers! Do not use! They will not show up at scheduled times. They will not provide a receipt showing only the work done. They will surround you and tell you that you have an emergency issue and if you ""act now"" they will do the work for $2500 rather than $3500.

I moved into a new house, put washer drain hose in pipe and it overflowed. Phoned Mr. Rooter and they came on a Friday and told me that the drainage pipe from washer is completely rusted shut, cannot be snaked and I needed the pipe in laundry room completely cut out to under the house and removed. It would cost $2700 but they felt sorry for me and would do for $1421 using their own personal discounts. No written quote provided and I said I have a home warranty. They said won't be covered by warranty because they cannot snake the line. Must remove the entire pipe.

They were scheduled to arrive Monday between 1-2 to cut out the old rusted closed pipe and install all new. I took off from work to be here. He texted after he did not show up between 1-2 and at 2:33 texted he would be here at 4 pm. 4:29 he called to say he couldn't make it and rescheduled for next day at 2 pm.

I took off from work next day and he was here around 3 pm. Then, he simply snaked the pipe and when I asked what was going on he said ""I'm saving you money because you don't need the pipe removed. I'll only charge you $1000. And look, I removed an allen wrench and washer from the pipe here. I'm saving you the parts cost of not replacing the pipe."" I said ""you told me it needed all new piping and could not be snaked. Being snaked would have been covered by the home warranty and I would not have had you do this repair"" and he said ""fine, if you want me to bill you the full 1400 when I'm trying to save you money then I'll remove the pipe."" I said of course I don't want you to bill me more for work that doesn't need to be done and he laughed and said ""that's what I thought.""

Then he just left white powder all over the floor, a huge square hole in the wall because he said ""we don't do drywall"" and charged me $1000. I said that seemed very expensive and he said ""it was a special machine snake.""

Then he said he would offer me a free camera look at my pipes and said he found 100% sewer line blockage that needed immediate clearing and if I say ""yes right now, we'll waive the $1000 snake fee and do this blockage for $2500 more... today, right now only."" Thank God I did not do this! They are fake scammers!

I then requested that ONLY the snake charge show on the bill so I could submit to my home warranty and he said ""I don't know what you mean"" as he wrote a whole paragraph about how they used a camera to see my sewer line is 100% blockage with zero mention of why they charged the $1000.

I then emailed the manager to ask the invoice ONLY list the snake repair so I can submit to home warranty. He said in two emails he has no idea what I'm asking for. Then when he phoned the following week and left a message, I called him back within the hour, got his voicemail and left a message and never got a response again.

To start off we had a late night emergency with our plumbing. Water was coming up in every drain of the house. We searched for a 24 emergency plumber and came across Mr. Rooter. We call them and with about 30-40 later Fernando showed up. We explain our problem and he went to work looking for the issue. They ended up replacing some broken pipes. The main purpose of my post is to thank Fernando for being perfessional and friendly. Fernando keep me posted on everything. He explained things in detail and took pride in his work. If this is the kind of employee that Mr. Rooter has then they will always have my business and I will refer them to family and friends. They only part of the experience that sucked was how expensive plumbing issues are.

Although the person that assisted me in replacing a leaking water valve, I feel as I was robbed from this business. I don't know how they justify charging me $200 for five minutes of their time. If I had the tools and strength I would've done it myself. I dislike how businesses take advantage of women! I will not do business with this company and I do not recommend this business to anyone unless they're ok to overpay.

I never said anything negative about the service. What was said was, you overcharged. If you can justify that price, which you have, then I have a right to let people know about my experience. Ladies, it is hard to find honest businesses that don't overcharge and my experience with this company can save you money. Was the service poor? NO but it was overpriced! I do not even want a refund from this company, I just need anyone especially if you're a single woman to please research first. If I would've seen a post like this warning me about overcharging, I would've called another business.

I have had a couple plumbing services before but this was the worst experience. While trying to remove the wax from pipe of the toilet opening they broke off the flange. Instead of fixing what they broke off they told me it would be $1200 to fix it. Ridiculous. I have heard of plumbers price gouging customers in need but I have never experienced it first hand. Broke my flange and wanted to charge me a crazy price to replace it. Makes no sense. I would not recommend this place at all. Be cautious who you have come to your home, some will try to take advantage of you when you are in need.

These guys are awesome!!! We happen to have one of these ""baffling"" issues that required multiple visits. However, they stood by their word and made all their return trips for free until the problem was solved! Doing business the way it should be!

I called Mr. Rooter for a kitchen clog. About 10 minutes in the plumber says he can't get the snake beyond a certain point and suspects a break in the drainage pipe. He says he can get a pipe camera to verify. He shows me an image and says ""there's the break"". I couldn't tell hide or hair at what I was looking at but assumed he's being honest. He quotes me a price of $6400 to $4200 to break open the slab. I tell him I will let the owner know and he would get back to Mr. Rooter. He requested I call the owner and that this is quite serious the slab could buckle. After a couple more insistent requests he convinces me to call the owner. The owner says to tell Mr. Rooter he's getting a second opinion. The technician says he can't do anything about the clog and charges $149. When the owner arrives at my home he explains, the exact same thing happened a couple years ago. Mike Diamond used a camera and told the owner, in older homes the drain pipes are not consistently smooth and a drain snake could easily get stuck. The owner grabbed a drain bladder on a hose and the clog was cleared in a matter of minutes. I would never recommend Mr. Rooter Plumbing to anyone.
