Initially, I was pleased with my interactions with this company. Service was timely and courteous but it turns out one pays a price for that. Not just expensive as Lee S. indicated in her review but egregiously expensive. When my job was complete and I started reviewing the numbers I was aghast that it basically boiled down to paying roughly $400 an hour for plumbing services. That's twice what I charge per hour as an attorney with more than twenty years of experience. Perhaps I should have gone to plumbing school instead of law school?

I would like to share my experience with this company when I lost partial heating in my house on 2/16/2015. I was put on a waiting list and was happy to get a response next day. When their technicians arrived they told me that there is a 99 dollar diagnostic charge to see what the problem was. After an hour or so it was determined that there was ice somewhere in the line. I was told that they could heat up the pipes with a bullet heater and the price for the first hour was 450.00 and then 150.00 for the next hour(s). I found it hard to believe that a pipe would be frozen as I lost power two years ago and the house dropped to 49 degrees and the pipes didn't freeze. Well considering the damage a frozen line could cause I agreed to it however I have to say the amount is somewhat egregious, I mean seriously is Kerosene that expensive? Nevertheless I had them proceed, but at one point a one way Taco valve was removed from the affected zone and this was included in the diagnostic service to see if it was the problem. So after the second hour of running the bullet heater we discussed what would be next which was opening the ceiling. I decided to wait it out as I could not see ripping open a ceiling to look for a frozen pipe in a house that had been 70 degrees throughout the cold spell occurring at that time. I really thought that it was either a bad circulator pump or an air pocket in the line.
I asked the guy if he was going to put that valve back and he said oh you don't need that as I don't know why they put all those valves in there. So I wrote a check for approximately $709 and they left. The next day another plumber came and purged the lines but believed the issue may be with the pump. Later that day just for the heck of it I turned the heat on in that zone as I had been running a quartz heater in that area. The heat was circulating again. It remains to be seen if it was the use of the bullet heater or if it was the efforts of the second plumber. A few days later I noticed that it was a little warmer than it used to be in the living room area. I found that when the other zones were at 68 the zone missing that one way valve was now 74-75 degrees. In essence the valve was needed as the person changed the heating from three to two zones.
So it was clearly obvious that I needed that valve however not only did the technician not put it back but he took it with him! So I had to buy a new valve at $54 and pay someone $60 to install it. My heating is working normally now.
I sent this via the contact us link on their web site on 4/11 and received a generic email response and nothing else. You may wonder why never called them back. I didnt call because I initially called to have a problem fixed and it wasn't fixed per the circumstances described above. Once my heating came back I got a new problem, too much heat due to the valve not being put back. If I called to have someone come back out, how can I be sure I wouldn't get another problem after having the valve put back or possibly be told that the missing valve isn't the problem it's something else! Lesson learned as I will be wary of who I call in the future for assistance on heating issues even in urgent situations I will do my research specifically with all the social media out there!

I am absolutely livid.

Before my home was purchased the seller was required to fix a leaking toilet that was discovered during the home inspection and he chose your business to come evaluate and fix the problem. The issue was supposedly resolved until my downstairs neighbor brought it to my attention that he had been dealing with a leak for quite awhile and he believed it was coming right from that bathroom with the toilet that SHOULD have been fixed.

I had my partner dig up the invoice that was left for us and after reading through the description of repairs I was upset to find that your associate only repaired a fill valve. There was NOTHING done to repair the leaks that were noted in the home inspection and you allowed the seller to ""opt out"" OF ACTUALLY FIXING PROBLEM. The leak was never repaired, it was only masked by sloppily applying some caulking around the base of the toilet, effectively directing the water down into the apartment below and seriously damaging my sub flooring.

How hard would it have been to actually lift the toilet up and replace the wax ring and the flange as you should have done? I was floored when I finally pulled the toilet up to find that not only was the wax ring nearly disintegrated but the flange was so far gone it crumbled in my hands as I pulled chunks of it away from the sewer pipe.

So, you completely ignored the most obvious reason for a leaking toilet: replacing the wax ring and the flange. Now I need to replace a section of my sub flooring because your rubes couldn't even remember back to Plumbing 101 in your trade school to locate the obvious issue.

There's a photo of what I found after lifting the toilet and stuffing a rag into the pipe. That's why the toilet was leaking. Not some stupid fill valve. Most of the entire God damn flange was corroded and there was basically no wax ring. And you let the seller get away with it.

This company came to my home with Greenwood Plumbing and Heating. Pedro DeSilva and Will Divini, (not sure the last names are correct.) From the minute they came upstairs after assessing my furnace I knew they were scam artists and not good ones. They originally quoted me $827 and told me I need a part that I actually did not need. I refused the service, they then quoted $635. I still refused to which they replied ""What can you do today?"" I said nothing and wanted them to leave. Pedro said to Will that they needed to put something back on the furnace. Will looked confused but agreed. I did not follow them downstairs.

After getting another company to fix the original problem for $200. he recognized that my furnace wires were connected incorrectly which would not allow the furnace to shut down once the temperature was reached. They called it a runaway furnace. Had we not caught that in time, my furnace would have blown and flooded my basement. I cannot prove they did this because I wasn't down there, but I have no doubt they did. They are criminals, bad con artists with no ethics at all. Don't use them.

I am a homeowner with a ~60 year old oil boiler. I contacted Greenwood Plumbing for an Oil Burner cleaning. I am so over Big Oil and their inflated oil prices. I pay cash for my oil and save THOUSANDS. In so doing I understand cash oil delivery companies don't provide burner cleaning or service. However, after a some research I found Greenwood Plumbing which could not only clean my burner, but also provide me with 24 hour service. Everyone I spoke with or met personally were very courteous and professional. The technician was well spoken, understood the scope of work, and was very thorough. I appreciated the fact that he explained everything in detail, what he found and what components/parts were replaced. He cleaned up the area well after performing the service and left me plenty of documentation regarding what service was completed and what other services Greenwood Plumbing provides. I am very satisfied with their service and will call them in the future for any and all Plumbing and Heating needs.

Came out and broke the brass caps to snake the sewer drain. He did not put a cutter on the snake. He tried to sell me on getting ""jetting"" done for another charge ontop of the snaking. I turned it down. He didn't have the correct caps for both brass covers and I was left without being able to run the water for almost 24 hours when his fellow plumber arrived and quickly threw some plastic cap on and bolted.

The job cost me $400 and two weeks later the line backed up again. I called Roto Rooter instead. He cleared the line using a cutter and then put a camera down and diagnosed the issue as a bellied pipe for the same price. Now I know what the issue is and can decide on action but it's thoroughly cleaned as of now.

For the price, I got much better service from Roto Rooter in an emergency situation.

Horrible! The heater stopped working they came to review and said it was the coupler which would cost $650 to replace, ok. Then, they came back and didn't fix the heater (leaving my tenants in the freezing cold for another day), because they needed my approval to charge me their increased price of $1,800!! It was completely outrageous. I went to yelp and found All Weather Heating and Repair, 401-943-7887. They had a good review and I second it. They came quickly, told me it was something entirely different than what the rooters people said and fixed it, getting the heater up and working in a couple of hours. Thanks to Joe my tenants have heat at the cost of $315 vs the Mr. Rooters price of $1,800. Stay clear of Mr. Rooters!

Never again. I paid $494 for a water heater install, which I thought was OK at first cause I only had a chance to call another place or two. The guys kept trying to sell me on this shady ""membership service"" don't bother. I asked for a quote to get my boiler maintained and it came out to $325 per boiler. I of course refused this ridiculous price.

I just got a dryer delivered and installed by Castillo's and was super happy. I asked for a quote to do my boiler services and it was about 4-5x cheaper than what this scam of a company wanted from me. Out of curiousity, I asked for a water install quote and it came out to the same multiple lower.

Don't get your A F'd by Mr. Rooter's. Call Castillo, or another place - I""m sure there are people who will do good work for a similar price.

Service was ok, but prices are Crazy, basically, every regular 30 Minute Job will cost over 200 $. DO NOT USE THEM ! You don't get prices upfront, their 'price sheet' or 'price book' is an insult to every working human being who knows how hard it can be to earn $ ... RIPP OFF is my conclusion.

Charge much higher than market price

Septic pump charged $700 vs $250 market value
Float charged $100 vs $30 market value
Labor charged 22 hours at $125/hr rate for changing two pumps and floats
