We should have heeded Keith's (Moline, IL) warnings. He left a one-star view after Mr. Rooter ""Left a giant hole in the yard for 60+ days with o communication about finishing the job.""
The front of our house looks like the front lines in the battle of the bulge. We still have a giant mound of dirt in the front year with a pipe sticking 4 ft straight up up out of the dirt mound 90+ days after we paid MR. Rooter $15,000 for the job. He came back out to assess problem of persistent backup into the kitchen and no communication other than an invoice for another $500 to repair the kitchen drain that they trashed doing the work. He didn't seem to see anything unusual about the war zone in front of our house.
I would give a zero if possible. Horrible Company! DO NOT USE! Way Over charged for repair of water in my basement. $6000. Said there was a break in the cast iron pipe under my laundry room floor. Sent an apprentice plumber who didn't know what he was doing. Pipes didn't even line up after he was done. Tried to tell him how to adjust it but wouldn't listen & caused 2 additional leaks. Here 12 hrs. Had to send out a journeyman plumber to FIX it all. Another 12 hrs. After concrete dried they sent another 'plumber' to reset the toilet, but when the journeyman came to fix the 2 leaks they caused, found that the bolts were not even attached to the flange. So another 3 hrs 8:13pm to 11:50 at night to fix again. Such a waste of my time.
After all this I still had the original problem. So he looked at the cleanout outside the house & saw water. Sent a camera man out, found & cleared what they called a ""soft clog"" out by my sidewalk. Then, lo & behold that was my only problem!!
Very unethical & unreliable. Incompetence of both office & workers. Didn't return calls. Kept getting schedules mixed up. Failed on every level. Will tell you all kinds of things that are wrong just to make money. WOW a lot of negative reviews on YELP, Trustpilot and Birdeye. Should have looked further because don't know how their site shows better ratings. Consumer Beware! It was an awful experience all around.
Don't know why this shows California. I'm in the Peoria Illinois area.

CONSUMER ALERT!!! (Long post, sorry but trying to save you!)
I usually don't post this stuff, but consumers beware. I called Mr. Rooter of Peoria to have my drain cleared. Before you ask, YES, they service homes here in the QCA. They were almost 2 hours late, but I do understand some times this happens. My spidey senses went off right away when the technician arrived and said you will need a new line, I call tell. This was before any work was started. He the. did not want to take off the cap in the garage as he said it was too corroded. He then went though an overflow in the basement. He said he thought it was done, couldn't feel any blockages, but I should get a camera down there to make sure. So I paid a ""discount"" price for the camera service.
Within the hour our drain was backing up again. So I called and and informed them, they said a camera technician would be here between 5-7 pm. 7:25 he pulls up. He said this isn't going to be good when he saw the trees. Spidy senses round two went off. I had to pull off my toilet and he went through that. He proceeded to tell me I had to pay $5950 to repair the line (never used the word collapsed but said there is the clog) and he marked it where his ""sensor"" was pinging. He was trying to have me sign that night and he would have it flowing within 48 hours. My gut told me he was wrong and I needed a second opinion.
The next day I called a local plumbing company. They had someone at the house within 1/2 hour, pulled the cap off in the garage pipe (which was too corroded) and said it was sludge buildup and my line was fine. He asked where they were going to dig to repair. I showed him the spray paint. He started laughing. He informed me there isn't any type of lines there. Your line goes straight out from the house and then to the road, what was he thinking. After two hours of hard work, the drain was cleared.
Needless to say $150 wasted along with precious time. Lesson learned. Check.
Stay local my friends.

This was insane. I was contacted by Mr. Rooter about my Google post. I went through the scenario and they apologized they didn't get back to me sooner. She asked how to rectify It. I said a refund since nothing they did was correct. That was three days ago and still haven't heard anything.
Pay $95 for nothing , show up and spent for 45 min and said I can't unclogged the drain , I still have to pay because she said $95 not guaranteed the drain will unclogged .
They take advantage of people that in a bad situation! they mark their prices up over 50% of other companie. Dont ever call theses people
AVOID AT ALL COSTS! This company is a scam without exaggeration! For your own protection, PLEASE DO NOT IGNORE THIS POST OR THE OTHER BAD REVIEWS.
I asked for a single quote to complete my sewer pipe replacement job. They quoted $6000 for the job, made a huge mess in my basement and yard, and their workers dont even know how to work properly as their TEAM LEAD wasnt wearing proper equipment and apparently had to go to the hospital ER because he apparently isnt aware he works with sewage.
This company is EXTREMELY unprofessional and they INTENTIONALLY miscommunicate with you to later scam you and harass you to quickly sign their shitty contracts without explaining anything or ACTUALLY INCLUDING what was discussed in their contracts.
They later charged ANOTHER $9,000 and passed it off as ""the original quote went up by $3000 because we found more unexpected work"", they rushed me to sign a COMPLETELY separate invoice for the SAME JOB. It was an invoice of $6000 and then an ADDITIONAL $9000! $15k!!!! THAT IS ABSOLUTELY INSANE.
As soon as i found out their scam, i immediately notified every scammer in this company to STOP ALL WORK IMMEDIATELY AND LEAVE THE PREMISES. They confirmed to me that they left, and then an hour later i received ANOTHER $3000 UNAUTHORIZED charge from them! These scammers KEPT MY CC INFORMATION and used it without my consent!
Before i signed any contracts and realized they were scammers, i had specifically told them i can only work with them if i pay 1st half upfront and do a payment plan for 2nd half. They said okay. And then they have the audacity to charge my card for the full amount, for an unfinished job?!
This entire company is built on LIES and scammers. They brushed it off with these exact words "" the stupid lady at the office must have pushed the charge accidentally"" and then proceed to ask me to take out a loan so i can pay for the other $9000?!
Terrible company. Double check any contract you sign with them. Also get a second quote from another sewer company before you hire mr rooter.
Paid to fix a leak in the bathtub's drain, they came out, assured us it was fixed, charged us, and left.
The tub still leaked.
Apparently, the first plumber misdiagnosed the problem. At least, that's what the second guy they sent out told us. He charged us, and left.
The tub still leaked.
We had them come out again to actually fix it this time, which took almost a week. The third guy said the previous one didn't seal it properly and that it would be fixed now.
The tub still leaked.
As of this exact moment the issue is still not fixed, I called to have them come out AGAIN, which they scheduled 4 days out, even though at this point I've had a tub leaking into my basement for almost a month and they are apparently too incompetent to complete the job I already paid them for.
Avoid this company at all costs.
Keith A.Came out quickly, identified problem, gave me quote, did the work.
Left the toilet unconnected for a couple of weeks.
Didn't want to replace the wax ring so the toilet is now loose.
Cut my water hose when they were digging out the hole.
Left a giant hole in the yard for 60+ days
No communication about finishing the job.
Once someone showed up to fill the hole, they placed no additional rock and destroyed my fire pit. And the clean out pipe is shifted and no longer vertical.
Didn't fix fence that they destroyed after telling me several times they would.
The experience started off so well but then they went out of their way to make a loyal life long customer into an angry, bitter enemy that hopes this company fails!
Horrible, called to have kitchen drain cleared, was told it couldn't be cleared it was like a ""baseball"" and we needed to replace drain pipes from sink to floor. We agreed to have the plumber come on Tuesday, on Monday they decided to send the ""plumbers"" I was already at work so my mother in law let them in.
When I got home I went downstairs and couldn't believe the hack job that was done. I immediately called there office and said no way a licensed plumber did this work no where near code, they admitted they sent un-licensed plumbers to perform the work. On top of that they told us the sink was working, well it wasnt cleared, they didn't tighten the fittings under the sink and water was jus running into cabinet base.
They asked for a chance to fix it, they sent a actual plumber on Tuesday and he first check everything the hacks did, fixed the loose fittings and then checked all the clean outs, guess what, he found the simple clog and cleared it. But it was too late because the hacks already ripled out all my copper drains and replaced them all wrong not up to code so they had to fixed now. What would have been $127 to clear a drain is now $2400 for work that didnot need to be done and was done wrong. They still have not completed the project, they left drains back pitched etc. They promised over and over to resolve the issue but never follow through. Last visit by a Mr Rooter employee sent to investigate he acknowledged everything I said is true and reported back to his superviso. We have heard nothing,
Do NOT hire this company! Definitely don't let them do plumbing! Bad service, Bad communication, shoddy work!
