Our toilet started backing up and the backup ran into the tub. Mr. Rooter did a good job of getting somebody out the same day and staying in touch.
Mr.Rooter sent Sean and Michael (I believe). They had lots of expertise about where to look to find the solution. We did what was needed to do to fix the immediate problem. Then Sean, provided me with estimates for longer term issues and showed me how to get the most bang for my buck.
Sean and Michael were nice guys and fun to be around which helps when your digging money out of your emergency fund to fix a gotta fix problem.
My husband was away on biz and Sean said he would be happy to talk with him to answer any questions he had. I super appreciated that gesture because that way my hub can ask him any question he wants.
They only reason I didn't give a five star review was because my husband asked me why a specific fix on one of the longer term things wasn't mentioned. It was a good point and I hadn't thought to ask. But hubby will get to do that when he and Sean speak. So next time he and Michael can get 5 stars.
Had these folks come out this week to clear our kitchen drain. They were a little tardy on getting here but did knock some off the bill for it. The person who came out, Cameron, was great. Very professional and friendly. He discussed options and prices and got right to work. He wore shoe covers and made extra effort to keep things clean in the house. Got the drain cleared in short order and triple checked to make sure it was good to
go. Great job.
Monkey D. L.Had a root ball in our main sewer line. We called at 9am and had the tech in our yard just after 10! He was upfront with pricing, explained everything in great detail and did an excellent job!
I called them on short notice due to a broken pipe. While the job was well done and they were polite and punctual, their prices will keep me from using them again. Unlike other plumbers I have used, they charge by the job not by their time. $470 for a job that took an hour and fourty minutes (and involved one very inexpensive part) adds up to an hourly rate much higher than other plumbers.
Next time I will take the time to price shop, but I just wanted the job done.
So I do take some responsibility for paying the price.
While I appreciate their good service, the cost will keep me from being a return customer.
I had a problem with my outside plumbing, and saw an ad for Mr Rooter. I liked that they are an independently owned and operated franchise. I called today and he came today. I was quoted a price for the repair and in the end even with some unexpected obstacles, I paid that price. I would like to thank Mark for his excellent work in the repair and checking to make sure that there weren't any other problems that were not apparent.
I was very pleased with prompt arrival, as well as a very clear explanation and break down of cost/service. The job got done same day and there was absolutely no evidence that Mr Rooter had been there (no garbage left behind, no dirt on the floors etc.). We also got quotes for some potential future work which was helpful for financial project planning.
Sherry L.Sean stepped in on a cold rainy Saturday night and fixed our faucet for us in a timely manner. He was very sweet and personable and made a bad situation better. I can not recommend he and Mr. Rooter enough. They'll be our go to plumbers from now on! We live our new faucet and would like to thank Sean!
Alex, the dispatcher I spoke to, managed to get a service technician to my home about an hour after I called! John, the service tech, arrived at my home and was working on the problem before I could get there. Plumbing calls are expensive, regardless of who is doing the job. There is a full-time master plumber on staff at my firm; when I told him how much the job was, he was surprised at how well-priced the repair was. The good news was that the job was performed quickly and with quality workmanship which will last!
Molly H.If I could give a 'minus' star, it would be minus 5. I will NEVER use this company again. They came to my house, fixed a small leak & replaced the water hose to the refrigerator ice maker, and charged $520 (with a military discount). Soon after the ice had a nasty taste because he used the wrong hose - it was lined with rubber. Now they're basically saying 'oh well, the Oregon code says we can use that type of hose'. Obviously they don't stand behind their work. As I said in the beginning, I will never use this Mr Rooter again, nor will I recommend them to anyone I know.
I wish I could have given them zero stars. This company came out did a repair charged me $450 to do a minor water leak repair under my home on a Saturday. The next day it is still leaking so I called to have them come back out and the repair man wouldn't go back under the home without $69.00. They DO NOT stand behind there work what so ever! I will never use this company again nor would I ever recommend them to anyone. Now I am in the hole for the $450 they charged me to fix the leak and now need another plumber to come in and repair what they couldn't get right. I am a senior citizen and can no longer do this work myself, and they took advantage of me.
