Jason Griffin, a service professional, came to our home and determined the person who worked on our garage service sink and drain had not performed draw the job correctly. When he checked their business records, he found a prior employee had performed the work and he made the needed repairs at no charge.


Unfortunately has become rare to see such honesty and professionalism and I was very happy to have Mr. Rooter and Jason at our home that day.

Napa, please don't use this company. Don't make the same mistake I made. I called because of an emergency at my house and they totally took advantage of the situation to over charge me and give me an estimate that is 4X more than what other companies in town are charging me for the EXACT same job. I talked to the owner about it and besides pretending not to understand my problem she didn't do much. The least I expect is a partial refund for the job they already over charged me and thank goodness I didn't agree to do the bigger job with them. I highly recommend using other local companies.

They're probably good at a lot of things, but installing a tankless water heater is not one of them. They blundered their way through my install and it took four repeat visits over three weeks to (almost) complete the job. One day they left us with no hot water at all. In the end, I made the final adjustments myself before everything worked properly. As I hand over payment, the plumber admits it was his first tankless install. Great: I'm paying premium prices to train the new guy.

They also didn't return repeated phone calls, even when I tried to give them new business. Ironically, they suggested we have a conference call to discuss the problems... then didn't call. I'm done with them.

Phone was answered on the 3rd ring at 8am. Appointment made for same day between 11am-1pm. Was called back to see if I could have my sewer problem fixed at 10am, we'll sure!!!
Akeem came and was very friendly and professional. He asked questions to properly diagnose my problem. It's a blocked gray water line.He quickly set up and ran the snake and cleared my problem.
Thanks Mr Rooter and Akeem for making my day much happier with my plumbing problem quickly solved.

I have had Mr Rooter out to my property on a couple of occasions. They are both knowledgeable, courteous and professional. They showed up on time, diagnosed the problem and addressed it. They have all of the necessary equipment to get the job done. My one issue with this company, and the reason I am giving them 4 stars, is that they are outrageously expensive. When I inquired about their hourly costs after getting an eye popping estimate, I was told that they bill their laborers at $150/hour! I know those guys don't get ""paid"" anywhere near that amount -- but I would be paying that amount for guys to dig holes in my yard. The total estimate to complete my job is $20,000! I had them fix the near term problem and will be going elsewhere for the rest. Bottom line - good work, professional, on time, etc. but if you are on a budget be sure to get a second estimate.

I had a near-catastrophic water heater failure on a Sunday and by noon Monday Mr Rooter had a tech on-site. Lucky for us they sent Cary, whose expertise and professionalism made what turned into a big project go very smoothly. He immediately went to work to prevent further water leakage and help dry out the existing wet areas. After assessing the location and infrastructure issues he went over the pros and cons of installing a traditional vs. tankless heater and provided quotes for both options. He then removed the old water heater and was prepared to leave without being paid a cent for his efforts!

After we decided to move forward with Mr Rooter on the job, Cary handled it with skill and a great attitude. I'm happy with the results and having used many other plumbers in Napa, Cary is one of the best.

I called Mr. Rooter to camera some plumbing on a property I leased, and to help my architect as built the plumbing in the building. These guys crawled in some tight and not so pleasant locations to help us get the information we needed. I'll definitely be calling them again.

update to a previous review stating they were great, had integrity, etc....
they were great until contacted by our home warranty company. jeff and mr rooter gave both my family and the warranty company the runaround for over 6 months. we ended up paying for things that were covered under our home warranty because jeff and mr rooter were uncooperative after they had been paid. they refused to answer calls and even denied knowledge of the job after completion.
jeff left mr rooter for reasons we do not know and had the AUDACITY to drop a business card off at our house.
MR ROOTER PLUMPING AND JEFF RENO HABE NO INTEGRITY.
They will say one thing to get your money and then not follow through with what they agreed to if they no longer feel like it.
Do not use either.

Called this morning with a plugged up kitchen sink. I was given a same day appointment! Mahir was on time. He was polite efficient and helpful. Could not have asked for better service, and the rate was reasonable.

Our hot water heater was having problems. We called at 7 pm at night and Cary was here the next day bright early and cheerful at 9 am. He was very courteous. He explained that the heating element was burning hot and of would possibly need replacing or a new heater. He was very patient and spent a few hours making sure that replacement as the best option. Attentive to the various family members questions and patient. He replaced the heater, lugging the new one up a mountain of slate stairs and disposed of the old one lugging it down a ton of slate stairs and a Napa hillside. He did it all by himself with a sense of humor and understanding and walked each family member young and elder who had questions though them all with great patience. Nice job. If you need Mr. Rooter and ask for Cary.
