Recommended Customer Reviews
Mr. Rooter replaced my sewer line that had been torn up by the roots of a city tree. Their customer service is exemplary; they answered the phone quickly, every time I called. They have all the necessary tools and employees for even complex jobs like this one. Every person I interacted with was professional, friendly, and honest. I had other quotes to get the line replaced, all of them much much higher than what I paid Mr. Rooter. They were by far the best value, without any compromise to the quality of their work. I highly recommend calling them for any plumbing needs. I'm really happy with them overall!
(just to be clear, I am an actual customer in Salinas and I wasn't paid to say this, lol)
Izequiel (spelling ?) was extremely rude upon arrival, within 3 min of talking to me. When I express surprise at how much the diagnostic was costing about $235 , he responded ""nobody works for free . Shame on you"" and drove off .
Debra Lynn S.I meant that was the best customer service I have ever received from a plumber! I would & do recommend Mr Rooter, Ask for Issic
I was having a problem with slow drains. Jaime came and cabled the drains and said I needed to have the main drain cleaned out due to roots in the drain. I scheduled it to be done on 2-6-2023.
Jaime and his assistant, Javier came and hydro jetted the sewer line,
did a clean out and ran a camera to make sure everything was okay. They were very professional, nice, and knew their job thoroughly. They had to remove a lot of landscaping to do the job and they cleaned up afterward. The next time I need plumbing work done, I will ask for Jaime.
Great service ---on time --- In & Out quickly --- ""knew their stuff"" . Correspondence from the office stupendous ! More than a fair price...
Katie D.My husband hit our waterline with a hedge trimmer. He and the neighbor got it patched up, but we needed a permanent fix, so got online and got Mr. Rooter to contact my husband so we could get a quote. The quote seemed high, but its 2022 and everything seems high, so we just went with it. Was the work done beautifully? Yes. Did we pay more than I think we should have, also yes. I am confident in the quality of their work, so at the end of the day it was a good experience, but I think we could have gotten it done for less, if we went with a different team.
I called them based on location and they're licensed plumber's who advertise tankless heater services. My water heater is 4 months old. They scheduled and came on time. Called to confirm when the plumber was on his way and he diagnosed the problem quickly. He called the following day to tell me my part wasn't under warranty but they would order the part. The bill would be 500$. It seemed odd to me that the part wasn't covered under warranty. I called the manufacturer and the part plus labor would be covered. When I called and let them know they replied with on warranty work they require the customer to pay up front. As far as I'm concerned that's your right to have that policy but that should be stated up front. Telling me you spoke to the manufacturer and it wasn't covered when in fact it is sounds like you're trying to rip people off.
They replaced the sewer lateral on my new house. They were prompt, professional, neat, and courteous. Plus, their quote was $2300 less than the next one. I'm very satisfied.
Mike D.We called in a plumber to diagnose our hot water heater issue as it goes from hot to cold to hot again. The person came out and first, his service demeanor was great he was super nice and friendly and all that good stuff.
He arrived about an hour or so late which slightly disrupted some tasks that I had for the day but not horribly, had this been the only issue - they would have gotten a 4 star rating at worst.
When the plumber arrived, we had a hard time recreating the problem though it was like clockwork for my wife and I (Murphy's law hitting us hard). So the plumber offered to do a quick descaling and flush to service the the heater. He told me a quote on the pricing and we had some sort of misscommunication as I thought that the service cost was 48.50 which sounded minor enough to go ahead and see if this helped (he even broke it down when he said it as four, eight point fifty - maybe even said point five O). It seamed cheap but I thought maybe that was the cost of the solution and then Id pay him another $75-$150 to do the work (Id happily pay 150-200 for a PM service like this). He was straight up in explaining that he did not know if this would fix the issue but it could be worth a shot. He did the work and then I paid and the total ended up being $487.50 which was well off of our budget. If I had heard that number I would probably have discussed other options of replacing the heater or I would have called and HVAC person to troubleshoot the electrical as the plumber said that diagnosing specific issues is not something that the plumbers do. So while the people were very nice, the service was missunderstood and I am not happy at all at paying $500 dollars for 30 minutes of pumping a solution through my hot water heater. I hope that it is fixed and we have no more issues but my only warning for you is to get a written quote before you begin.
Looking at the reviews it looks like the $500 is about their minimum pricing to do anything.
This company has been great to work with in the past but now I need to really pay close attention to the quotes and also, I should maybe go through an HVAC person in the future as they told me that to diagnose specific problems with the heater was out of their realm of expertise.
Hard lessons learned today - don't be me!
After reading through the reviews it looks like this company is a very high priced plumber to work through. It is a franchise meaning that they have to pay a lot of franchise fees and other stuff that costs them without adding a service to customers like us. Not sure if my mind can be changed but we will be changing our plumber and going with a local small company rather than a franchise that I am paying for some marketing people. At least then if I pay $500 for 30 minutes of work, I know that it goes directly to my community and not paying some firm in Oklahoma and New York to create logos and marketing strategies, etc.. Like I said, get a written quote and then check that quote against your local plumbers, Ill bet they match or beat that pricing easily
I write this review without actually using their service. I had purchased a new toilet and shower head, needed to have them installed, and old toilet removed. My tech was very nice and showed up on time. The reason for the 1 star was their pricing! $479 to install and remove a toilet, which should take about an hour. I declined the service, and was able to find a reasonable price from a local company in town. Which I should have done in the first place, shop local.
