I called on a Sunday due to a backed up sewer line. Was told a plumber was on the way. He then called me twice to try to cancel the appointment after already telling me he was on his way. He had a personal issue come up. I ask him if anyone else could come out and he said no, he was the only one available and he could get someone the next day. I told him that you offer a 24 hour service and he just said yeah. I let him know that we didn't have use of any toilets in our house and that it was an emergency. He just said well I had something come up sorry. I ask for a supervisors name and he wouldn't give me one and then said he would come. He shows up, and runs the snake down the sewer pile and says it's the city's issue not his, packs his things, charges me $120 and left. It was obvious he was In a hurry to get to his personal issue he had come up. He was there less than 20 minutes. We called the city, they came out and said it was not their issue that it was ours. We then called another plumbing company who came out and took the time to fix the problem. I called Roto rooter the next day to let them know how unprofessional and terrible our experience was and they just said sorry and offered to take $20 off and send another technician out. I would not recommend this business to anyone or every use them again.

There's a reason this place has 1 star, go use Best Value Plumbing instead, they are way cheaper and they make sure that they can't do anything else before making it into a big job. I called Roto-Rooter at the suggestion of a friend and they came out and it took 5 minutes saying I had a clog, the toilet clogged again a week later. I called them back and they came out and only then did they remove the toilet and chip the toilet and run a camera down to check. I was quoted $1800 to fix the issue. Why didn't they catch this issue the first time around? Why didn't they take out the loose phalange the first or second time they were here? I now have spent over $200 for them to do nothing but chip my new toilet and blame that on me.

After I called Best Value Plumbing and they checked it out, with a $1200 quote over the phone and keeping it at that after checking it out, I called the owner Sean at Roto-Rooter and he said he couldn't beat that price and would have to charge me for today. I said well how much since he chipped my toilet and he said nevermind and then got pissed when he thought I hung up. He then called back and said that the toilet was lose and that's why his guy dropped it and it chipped and that id still need to pay the $135.50 for today. I will pay this but let it be known that I will never ever use Roto-Rooter for any reason. I only got a second quote after hearing from people that I was being charged too much, I'm just trying to save some money and that's not a crime.

The guy came back today to collect the $135 and I texted him a coupon. He told me that coupon wasn't theirs and that I could only use one once a month. When he arrived he says that it wasn't the right coupon and that they were Mr. Rooter and it was a different franchise. I gave him the $135 reluctantly and told him to get off my property. He said I was lucky he was at work.

Update: Best Value Plumbing completed the job without having to jackhammer my floor. So thankful that I didn't stick with what Mr. Rooter said to do, I'd be out $1800 and I'm sure they would've figured out something else to add to that price.

Just beware- they will not even give you a general estimate over the phone (should have been my first clue). Walked in the house and said,"we have to climb on the roof and that will be $175.00." Took them 7 ( yes7) MINUTES, and then of course "we can't warranted it". When I questioned him I was told several different reasons and then "we don't warranted it unless we don't find anything." Really! They did reduce the price to 125.50. I am thankful for that.

Called during the day and they told me it would be between 6 and 8pm. 8:00pm rolled around and no one had called me so I call and they tell me they're running behind and cant get to me until the morning. How can you promote 24/7 but not come at 9 instead of 8. Don't waste your time. Called Bruce Thornton at 8:45pm and they showed up that night. I would give them 0 stars if yelp would let me.

Horrible service. We've been trying to get a sewer line unclogged for over a month. Paid for the hydro scrub and camera down the line. Never received the video from Shawn, the owner. He was supposed to follow up with the city to get sewer fixed on the city side and never did. Less than a month later, the sewer is backing up again, and he was a no-show for the most recent promised service call. Do not use this company!

Unbelievable they charged $90 an hour from the time they left their shop until they returned. How do we really know when they left & when they returned? My 90
year old mother was taken for a bundle. Stay away from this place.

For 125 dollars I had them drill the main line in my back yard so my toilet and sinks would drain. They were going to charge me another 125 for each additional drain to snake out which was out of the question, I would snake it myself. After about 30 minutes and just a really quick job, they claimed to have cleared the roots out of the line. They then told me that the main line is broken due to the elm tree that I have and it would be 3200 dollars to fix. There was no warranty on the job they had done but what other choice did I have. A month later Its completely clogged again where nothing drains. I call these people again about the shotty job that they had done about the main sewer line. They told me that the job was only supposed to be temporary and that somethings it works for a year, sometimes a few days, but the only real solution would be to have them come out and replace the main line for 3200 dollars. That is out of the question and they wanted me to spend another 125 dollars for them to come attempt to drill the main line again. I said hell to that because I wasn't going to spend 125 a month or so to just have sort of working drains! They lady that I spoke to claimed they had cut the roots out of the pipe, for one, the tool they had used was a spring, whoever heard of a spring cutting through roots? I didn't even see any roots extracted from the pipe, how do they know this? beats me. Anyways I highly recommend you use another service than calling these people.
