I had Mr Rooter come pump my septic system. They only pumped one side and 6 weeks later it is full and clogged again. They refuse to pump both sides and claim my drain field is back flowing. This would require water to run up hill. Never use this company. Update: After some strong arming and proceeding to the Health Dept, the owner stepped in and pumped my septic correctly after the staff refused.

We always call Mr. Rooter and ask for Hootie. He's the nicest man and always does a good job. The service is prompt and effective. It is a little pricey but most plumbers are.

Needed a valve replaced on hot water heater that was under warranty. We were never able to get a quote on labor before job was performed. It took him less than 20 minutes to change the valve out and he tried to charge $550 for labor. We talked to their office and was informed that they have a set rate but the tech can raise that price and they get to keep the difference. Finally spoke to the supervisor and settled at $300, which was still way too high for the time it took. I happened to run into another one of their trucks after this happened and I asked that tech what the charge would be for this job and he said around $160-170!! I'm not saying all the techs at this place are crooks but the one we had definitely was! I will never use them again!

Every time I have called Mr. Rooter, they have come quickly and handled everything efficiently without surprise charges. They are definitely my go-to.

I had a leak in my shower which I wanted repaired so I called Mr. Rooter. They responded promptly and did a good repair job. However, when I received their invoice, I was shocked. They charged me $560 for a one hour no parts job. I asked for a itemized invoice and they did send me one. They charged me $56 for each incidental task. I would not hire them again because I feel their charges are outrageous.

Really did a nice job clearing the sever main from the house. Difficult job requiring a camera and a 400 foot jet device. worked until 9P on a Friday. Came back the next Monday and met the City workers to check the sewer main. Really great job way above and beyond!

Very fast response, quality work, reasonable price. Michael was fast, professional and clean and neat! Great experience!!

I have had pretty good results when I have used Mr. Rooter, but this one just was wrong. I called in yesterday morning, the guy shows up around 7 PM looks at the jobs and says he can't fix them tonight, he will have to get the parts in the morning, but should be at my house by 9, he finally showed up after 10:30. He turned off the water, got the parts he needed and left for 4+ hours. Finally returned and the main part he had based his price off didn't fit, so he couldn't complete that job. He told me to do just the other job would be $125, so I agreed even though I felt it was high to replace a couple of pieces from the faucet. He completed the job and said he was going to fill out the invoice. It was taking him awhile so I went to check on him, he said his boss said the job was now $250. I told him to put the old parts back in and he can keep the new ones, the price was ridiculous. He said he had been here all day and he would be our $100 and some other things, so I told him to do it but to tell his boss they just lost a customer and I would be writing reviews about them. Mr. Rooter's policy has always been, they give you a price for a job and it doesn't matter how long it takes the prices is the same, not today. When he went to do the invoice, I reminder him about the 10% military discount, and he acknowledge he would include it, but when I got the invoice I received $17. 10% of $250 is $25, not sure what math they were doing. I told him this and he said it was the numbers they gave him. This company has issues all around. Even though most of my other jobs with Mr. Rooter have gone well, I will be finding me another plumber to handle my plumber needs. This went beyond what I expect from a company. I think the boss should have honored the price his tech gave me. The Tech they sent was nice and very apologetic about all the issues he was having, but he seemed confused on what he had to do at times. He told me he had over 20 years working as a plumbing.

Seven trips to fix a dripping master bath faucet. They put in the WRONG part and threw the original American Standard valve stems away. No way to match the correct part. We came home from a three day trip and the water was running...not dripping. We had to turn the water off under the sink, rendering it useless. We bought a completely new faucet assembly. Our total bill was close to $500. The repair man left mud all over my house; including carpeting and walls. I called the office and asked for the owner to call me back....no response. I asked for the office manager to call me back...no response! I will NEVER USE MR. ROOTER AGAIN!

Unprofessional plumbers and management that doesn't care about customers. They will charge premium for poor quality work and ignore you once they get the money.
