I will never use them again. Total ripoff. I needed my garbage disposal replaced because it was leaking. I purchased a new one and had Mr. Rooter install it. It took them less than 40 minutes and they charged me $400 for labor. They would have charged $600 if I hadn't provided my own disposal unit. The plumber they sent was kind and competent, and he did a good job, which is the reason I'm giving two stars instead of one. But the name ""Mr Rooter of Hampden & Hampshire Counties"" makes you think they might be local. They're not. THEY ARE A BIG NATIONAL CHAIN WITH OUTRAGEOUS PRICES. They charged fixed fees out of their national catalogue, rather than hourly rates. And in this case, the customer gets screwed. I would not recommend them and will never call them again. Next time I'll use a local plumber.

Dave was totally honest, straightforward and professional. As it turned out, we didn't need a plumber after all. Name an auto mechanic that would say that. Really nice company. Highly recommend.

When sewer drains overflowed in my basemen6 I went online to find an emergency plumber. The only listing was Mr. Rooter. When I called the first time and after couple hours a second time I left messages, but got no reply. I called again got a receptionist who told me that they only have one tech on weekends and he was tied up so they could't help me today.
Really? They asked me to call the next day and maybe the tech would be available. Instead I kept calling during the day to check on how well their tech was doing. After several check up calls that said that the tech could get to my house the next day, Hmmm, of course by now I've got two inches of water in my basement and things are getting ruined. I found another plumber.

Our shower started leaking on Sunday and called and scheduled an appointment for Monday morning. The plumber called ahead to let us know he was coming and showed up exactly on time. I worried this would be an expensive issue and the plumber took one look, went out to his truck for the correct tools and walked me thru as he did the repair. Turned out to be a minor issue and thanks to the experience and honesty of this plumber my issue was fixed without breaking the bank. Extremely happy with the prompt service. I'd definitely use them again.

I tried to do laundry in my basement on Sunday, but noticed the sink, next to my washer, was clogged. I tried to unclog it with a screwdriver, I attempted to plunge it and finally used Drano to no evail. I checked with my wife and called Mr. Rooter. I was concerned cuz it was Sunday and figured there would b an up charge. When I called, I spoke to Leah and within a 5 minute conversation, I learned there was no up charge cuz in was Sunday and that a technician would b to me between 5:00-7:00pm. Few, I thought and was excited at the prospect of A technician arriving between 5:00-7:00. Around 4/00pm I received a text that a technician was on their way. I then received a phone call from Steve stating he had a cancellation and asked if was ok that he was on the way? I of course said it was great and I'd see home soon. Steve arrived and I welcomed him in. We went to the basement and as I showed him the sink and explained what I and done he saw and the states there was an issue with the drain runnin to and from the kitchen sink. I thought omg, I did have an issue with the drain and garbage dispoSal earlier in the weekend but it had cleared. The clogged sink in the basement was beginning to make sense?!?!?!? Steve worked for about an hour and ""snakes"" the sink until it cleared and was fixed. Steve was timely, knowledgeable, and precise with his charge. This is the 2nd time I've used Mr. Rooter and they are in incredible! When an issue comes up, Mr Rooter is the one to call!

I called ""Mr. Rooter"" number listed online for Hampden/Hampshire county today to request a quote as to the price of installing a kitchen faucet.
He immediately said, ""that will be around $259.""
I know plumbers aren't cheap so agreed....said, ""Okay, when can I schedule an appointment?""
He gave me an appointment for tomorrow morning, took all of my information, name, address, phone number, email address............
AND THEN SAID,.......................there will be a $89. charge to come out but if we do the work, it'll just be the price that the plumber gives you while there.
But....""you just gave me the price, about $259.""
He then said, ""that's an approximate price, there might be something else that needs to be done.""

""All I want done is the faucet replaced, with the faucet I purchased at Home Depot.""

He came back with ""but, and what if"" and so on and so on. When I inferred this sounded a little shady and seems like two or more different prices given, he immediately hung up on me. I hope he took the time out of his busy and important life to cancel the appointment!!

Mr. Rooter is the company that does installations for Home Depot.
If this is the attitude ""Mr. Rooter"" has towards the consumer, it reflects on the poor choice of Home Depot, they and the consumer should be aware of this.

We had our Toilet roll holder fall into the toilet an get sucked up as it flushed. We tried to get it out but couldn't reach it so we called Mr. Rooter Pluming at 7am an they where here by 10am. Very professional an informative. Within about 30 mins he had it unclogged an fixed the issue an even fixed some stuff with the seals that we didn't cause. They are very friendly i highly recommend them !

They come pretty quickly and on time. Their communication about the time of arrival is EXCELLENT. Their plumbers know what they are doing and are efficient.

We had a clogged bath tub which my husband had been unable to unclog after trying everything. We called on a Sunday morning and they got back to us quickly with an estimated arrival window between 10 am and 2 pm. The technician, Anthony, was at the door right at 10 and quickly cleared the clog in less than an hour. He was friendly and professional. I was a little wary since we had a bad experience with another plumber from another company when our water heater broke, but I am glad we called Mr. Rooter! I would highly recommend them!
