I was hopeful going into this appointment. I scheduled service for Friday, April 18, between 12:00 PM and 3:00 PM and cleared my calendar to be available. That morning, I received several calls starting around 8:00 AM asking if I could take an earlier appointment. I wasn't available, so I didn't answer. I assumed they'd still come during the scheduled window.
When I hadn't heard anything by early afternoon, I ended up calling to check in, only to find out the appointment had been canceled without my knowledge. Later, two technicians were sent out anyway and arrived last minute, around 2:30 PM, staying until nearly 5:00 PM. This disrupted my workday and caused a lot of unnecessary stress.
They completed the work (""installation of a customer-supplied drop in sink"" & ""cable line up to 4"" thru access"") but the final cost was $1,100, which felt excessive for the services provided. On top of that, they called my workplace without my permission, which crossed a line for me.
The technicians themselves were courteous and efficient, but the lack of communication, the scheduling confusion, and the high price made this a frustrating experience.
I hope the company takes this kind of feedback seriously to improve how they handle appointments and customer communication.
Unfortunately, I can't recommend this company.
I was initially happy with the service. The day after the install of the Hot Water heater a noticed a leak from one of the joints. Called and scheduled someone to come out to check it. Plumber they sent said it was leaking at the Ball Valve joint which was the original valve. They had plumbed on both sides of it. It did not leak before. Was told it would be another $395.00 to fix it. Not much I could do but to have him fix it. Will not be using them again or recommending them to anyone.
I give them an excellent on being prompt & friendly at the start. Had my sink
drain cleared & was told by Nick that he would install my garbage disposal at no charge if we would purchase one which we did. We received one charge
for $450 and then another one 2 days later for $450 plus a nasty response when I called him. Be careful!!!
Clog was cleared but next day realized it was just moved down to lower level
Paid more that I did for roto rooter to come next day (during Christmas) and clear it completely
Roto rooter guarantees work for several days
Don't get ripped off
Dan was ahead of time and fixed our Clogged Drains with no issues or Messes!!! I would recommend them to anyone!
Beth A.I've used them several times and they have always been great! They are extremely responsive, professional and do excellent work. Nick has especially been wonderful to work with.
I had a leak in my ceiling and they were the first ones to respond. To their credit they did show up quickly and figure out where the leak was. But two hours of work, and all they did was cut three holes in my walls and cut one pipe. It did temporarily stop the leak, but they also charged me $1000. No parts only labor! Then they were going to leave the house with an open pipe on the roof that was going to cause it to leak so I asked them to go on the roof and put a bucket over it which they did. so yeah, in a pinch they'll work, but be prepared to open your wallet wide.
I have used Mr. Rooter a few times and they are the only plumber I have found that will help quickly on off hours. The work they've done has been good. One caveat is they are very expensive now, I paid $500 to clear the line between our house and our septic tank. I had an extension cord run and the pipe open and exposed so it took them less then 15 minutes start to finish so $500 seems excessive. A subsequent clog I ended up renting and learning how to use a sewer cleaner from home dept which cost $89 to rent vs $500 for a few minutes of work.
In a pinch I would absolutely recommend them.
They charged $129 for in-home evaluation of a sewer problem. I thought, as they were going to bring in some equipment to evaluate, the price was probably fair. Well, the technician showed up with empty hands, listened to my description of the problems, looked around for two minutes, and asked for payment and was ready to leave. I asked, I thought you were going to bring in some equipment to check out the problem? He answered, that would be another $360. Then what is the point of this evaluation, the information gathered during which could be accomplished by a phone call?
Mr. Rooter was prompt, professional and competent. I'd definitely use them again in the future!
