Cant recommend.
Had Mr rooter out about 6 months ago for a dishwasher install. Paid premium around $600 to install a dishwasher. 6 months later the dishwasher is not secured to the cabinetry thus when all drawers of dishwasher are pulled out dishwasher falls forward.
I had them come out to fix the situation which they promptly responded but suggested they did it right the first time and couldn't resolve.
I find it hard to believe that if the dishwasher was properly secured that we would have this issue.
Dennis D.I can always rely on Mr. Rooter to be there when I need them. My hot water tank failed last night I called them this morning and they got someone out first thing! Can't say how much I appreciate having the knowledge that no matter what plumbing issue I throw at them Mr Rooter can fix it without batting an eye. Thanks so much
we had a clogged kitchen sink. they were very prompt and understood our urgency to remedy this. the technician, Zach was excellent!
Jennifer S.Recently I had a clog in both my kitchen sink and my basement drain. They came out right away and quickly were able to clear both clogs.
Hayley R.We had a very small job (repairing shower hardware) so I was grateful they took on the task. They were efficient and up front with pricing, they also did whatever they could to not charge us an arm and a leg for such a small job! He also gave us advice for another project and provided quotes as well for the future if we decide to go with them. Timely, courteous and knowledgeable.
I will never use this company for service.
The website is the definition of false advertising and the representative on the phone acknowledged they knew the website clearly states ""no price increase for after hours or weekends"" however they locally charge for after hours and/or weekend service.
We live in 2022, get your website accurate and do not try and trick the public who is in need of emergency service.
Kris B.I called Mr. Rooter to come out to repair my sewer line to the street. They gave me a time 8-10 am. I received a text asking to confirm my appointment and I did so. 10am came around and I called to see where they were. The woman said she called and no one answered. (A lie as I have had my phone next to me AND checked my call history.) She then canceled my appointment, I did take screenshots of my call history. Very unprofessional for her to lie to me about a simple phone call.
I called them for a partially clogged sewer line that a tenant was complaining about when he ran the washer. I wanted it fixed right away so I called Mr rooter who was close and was able to come quickly...big mistake. The reason they're able to come out quickly is because they charge a kings ransom. The guy told me he ""might"" be able to clear the line from the street but it would be $250. I reluctantly agreed and guess what? It didn't work. So now I'm $250 in the hole and no better off. Then he suggests option 2...which was $500 more. The drain got cleaned out and I paid them, only to find out later the city would have done this for free! (Ya think they knew that?) I wish I'd taken my time and done my research, I never should have called them. At the very least had I hired a reputable plumber I wouldn't have paid 3X as much for a 1 hr job
I called Mr. Rooter for a minor basement drain backup. After working for about 45 minutes, the technician said he was unable to finish the job. He offered me 2 options to continue working that were extremely expensive and intrusive (1k flush or 5k digging up yard). After declining these and them leaving, we realized we just paid $366 and we were now left with a drain working worse than before.
I have learned afterwards that any plumbing company worth their merit will advise potential clients to first look into whether their problem can be fixed by the town they live in for free. Not only did Mr. Rooter not tell us this, they lied to me. They're legally not allowed to work on the portion of pipe that belongs to the town. Mr. Rooter told me their equipment would only go about 45 feet from the house and would go no farther because of a big clog. (in actuality this is where the town portion begins).
They lied, they tried to upsell me thousands of dollars worth of extra work, and left my house worse than before all for full price. All of my attempts to speak to a manager for a refund have been unreceived.
Do not hire.
They completely misdiagnosed the issue and charged us over $800 for an unnecessary repair. We are senior citizens on a fixed income. They then estimated a further charge of $3000 to continue working on the issue. I would never use them again for anything except perhaps a clogged toilet.
