We contacted Mr. Rooter about the bathroom being clogged up for the whole house. They were responsive and came out the next day. They texted us a picture of the technician along with the name which is a nice touch so we know exactly who's coming and what they look like.

The technician was able to found the issue which was an old pipe that partly collapsed which caused the backup. They use the camera to show us that the storm line was clear and the issue is only on the sanitary line.

The average rating was because we thought there's nothing else except to replace the broken area. We have a sewage line warranty so we call that company to have them start the replacement process. They send out a second plumbing company to confirm the issue but this company was able to clear the line partly to provide some relief while they get the permit for the replacement. I felt Mr. Rooter's technician should have been able to do this in their visit to help the home owner so I'm a bit disappointed given all the outstanding reviews they have.

Update 2/15: the other company was able to clear the sewage line and they report it was fine and doesn't need replacing. I'm glad we have a warranty and didn't spend several thousands replacing something not needed.

I had been using a plumber I was not thrilled with and almost called him again but I read the reviews here and decided to use Mr. Rooter. I got same day service for my leaking sink. Joe came out and was very professional. He gave me all my options and we decided to install a new faucet. Joe found other leaks in my sink area and cleaned them up for me. Before Joe arrived, I received a text with his photo and history so I would know who to expect. I felt compelled to write this review since I was helped by others who gave good ratings and led me to Mr. Rooter.

Called yesterday and got everything I needed to get fixed in less than 24 hrs. Service professional, Joe McPhilemy was prompt and kind. He was very transparent and willing to answer all questions. I was worried that my shower drain was stopped up and also that the drain in the laundry might be clogged because I washed my kid's stuffed animals and two opened up (letting stuffing and beads out). Mr. Rooter got right back to me, literally 10-20 min after I left a message and less than 90 minutes later the technician was at my door. Joe was great, ran tests--patiently, turns out everything was fine. Now, I don't know a thing about plumbing, so he could have told me both needed to be cleared and I would have believed it. Did not charge a dime for coming out either. I recommend without reservation and if needed, this is the company that I will be calling.

We contacted Mr. Rooter about an exterior drainage and sink hole issue that continued for 6 years after the issue had ""supposedly"" been fixed by another plumbing co. who refused to acknowledge it.

Mr. Rooter Co. was amazing. They were prompt, responsive, and knowledgeable. They listened, assessed the situation and addressed the residual effects of the original faulty work. They uncovered the cause of the devastation. The original plumber was to replace the clay pipes with new materials They never connected the new material to the existing porch pipe. Instead they filled it with rocks and shredded tarp. The water drained into the ground and worse.
We were shown every step of the way for assurance as we were wary of plumbers at this point.
They did meticulous work, were respectful of the property, cleaned up after AND it's fixed! We are to the moon. I am so appreciative of their expert, fairly priced, and ethical service and highly recommend them.

My husband and I are recent Mr. Rooter customers our service technician was Scott McFarley This review is more for Scott than his company, Scott went over and beyond the duties he was sent to our home to perform. Once Scott performed the request for which he came evaluating and giving us an estimate for a sump pump which was reasonable compared to some of the other estimates that we'd received. Scott left our home and continued his investigation of our basement flooding problem. Through Scott's diligence and dedication to his job Scott found another solution to our water problem and saved my husband and I three thousand dollars!!!! Thank you Scott your are the MVP.

Mr. Rooter plumbing was great. We had a huge crack in our sewage line into the concrete. They were able to give a consultation same day and snaked the drains same day as well. They were very knowledgeable and professional. They even followed up with us and were able to schedule their work in the same week. They came 2 days in a row to drill into the concrete, remove the old plumbing and insert new PVC pipes. They did a great job and for a reasonable price. All their workers are very friendly as well.
The only thing that wasn't 5-star worthy is they left some old piping in our front lawn for a couple of days. We were told someone would come pick them up next day but we had to bug them for a couple of days to come get it.

I had a visit from them when my water heater failed. I have no doubt they do a great job but they know they have you over a barrel so they're kind of high. We started @ $1300.00 for a replacement of a 40 gallon Gas HW heater and the ""best they could do was maybe $1100.00"".
I found a competitor who did the job for $905.00. 90 minutes. Replaced with Bradford.
