1 star cuz I can't assign 0. Don't work with this company, they are misleading and not responsive. They came out for an estimate for repairing our drain tile and never followed up with us. They collected over $500 and didn't tell us anything we didn't know. Called a week in a row to speak to customer service or management, had to call several times to get follow up. The lady I spoke to was rude and condescending. Horrible company, save your time and money and go elsewhere.

Needed drain Rodded and after evaluating tech told us we needed the $800.00 rodding. Tech did not have the equipment needed & had to go back to the shop for it. After returning with the piece of equipment he tried starting it & it would not start. So it was a wasted day and cost $209.00. Also had to supply a bucket and ladder while he was in our home as he did not have those tools. Will never use this company again.

If you're having plumbing issues, I would suggest your calling Mr. Rooter. The technician is excellent. He had years of experience working on older homes. He was not flummoxed by the age of our pipes like others have been. He was in an out in less than one hour and provided me with a pro clean product to use in order to maintain my drains each month.


I would definitely recommend Mr. Rooter to all of my family and friends and to you, too.

I would not recommend them if you are looking for small repairs or work or sump pump replacement. Look for local plumbers on yelp or angieslist. I did get sump pump replaced with them (should have looked up local plumbers) Work was good, technician showed up on time and was really friendly. ...but just to install Sump Pump it's $250 (this is just installation price it's additional $$$ if you get new sump pump from them as well) I supplied my own new Sump pump and paid $250 just to install which is 15 minute work that's way too expensive.

Terrible.  Don't even deserve one star.  Inexperienced employees.  They refuse to refund charges after completely bumbling a repair.  Avoid.  TOTAL RIPOFF!

It was great working with Chris and the other folks from Mr. Rooter. They were friendly and we and our home were treated with respect. We were given a clear estimate up front. We were able to supply the fixtures of our choice. Our requests, however small, were honored. Our questions were answered. Old fixtures were removed and our home was left as clean as they found it. Dealing with plumbing is often not fun, but this was a very pleasant experience.

I gave Mr. Rooter one star because it is not possible to give them 0 stars. I choose them because they were about $200 dollars cheaper than the other plumbers. It would have been better to have spent a little more and had gotten the job done right. First, they needed to give the village a letter of intent, and one of the manager's at Mr. Rooter argued with me and told me that I was the one who needed to write the letter of intent. When I told the Village this, they were shocked. They joked with me and said, ""Is this the first water heater they have ever installed?"" When Mr. Rooter finally produced the letter after the Village called them multiple times, it listed me as the primary contractor! Um...I would not be hiring Mr. Rooter if I were a contractor. Two months later, the error was cleared up, and I had my permit, However, it needed to pass an inspection. Well, it didn't. As it turns out, the drainage pipe is open and exposed, meaning that if the water heater leaks, it will leak all over my floor and into the unit below, and this is a major liability issue! The inspector told me that if they had placed it over a pan, he may have been able to approve it, but they didn't even bother. I just can't understand how a company can be so careless. Now I understand why they wanted me to be the primary contractor...they didn't want to be responsible for their own work! To top it off, they would not let me use the $40 coupon that was advertised on their website, because I had forgotten to mention it when I paid. Geez...I spend $1077 and they are going to make a fuss over $40? Do yourself a favor and hire someone else.

Our bathroom drain was clogged in 2014, we were so panic, and needed to fix this right away, Mr Rooter did rodding job, after that, they told us we needed hydrojet, and camera. After they did hydrojet, they said we had to replace sewage pipe outside of house..total cost was over $3800

One year later same problem has been occurred, this time, we hired general contractor, told him that story, he blamed them very badly and he fixed it with $150 labor + equipment rental fee, and advised us to pour root killing liquid every year.

Last week, we had a problem with kitchen drain, but all other drains are working fine.
By accident, my wife called Mr Rooter. they did rodding job at $300, told us we need hydrojet and camera. He quoted us I told my wife to stop give him $300 for rodding and

we hired different plumber right after, they have a promo rodding + camera at $199.
Just rodding and we fixed it right away

We called Mr. Rooter on an emergency basis because our usual plumber couldn't come as soon as we needed. Their customer service and quality of technicians far exceeded anything we've seen with other companies. Inspection and repair/replacement services were prompt, thorough, and well-priced, and communication was excellent. Both the technicians (Marco and Byronn) and the customer service (Kim) were an absolute pleasure to work with, and we will absolutely use this company for our future plumbing needs.
